The veteran script writer of films like Don and Sholay, Salim Khan is so bowled over by Shoojit Sircar’s film Vicky Donor that the writer presented a Filmfare trophy to Shoojit and script writer of the film, Juhi Chaturvedi. The father of Salman Khan confessed that he couldn’t have handled such a subject.
Salim Khan called Shoojit Sircar to home and gave him one of his Filmfare trophies. The yesteryear hit scriptwriter even talked to the script writer of Vicky Donor. Shoojit explains that he couldn’t believe his ears when he heard Salim Khan’s voice on the phone. Shoojit says, “He said, ‘I saw your film with 10 women in my house and we all loved it. I don’t know how you made this film. I even spoke to your scriptwriter. Both of you have done a commendable job so I want to give you an award from my side’.”

Shahrukh Khan forgives but never forgets. However when it comes to taking a joke on him, it depends on the vein in which it has been made. No wonder, all is forgiven and forgotten as far as the newbie in B town, Ayushmann Khurrana is concerned.
“Those familiar with Ayushmann’s work on TV would remember the extended spoof he had played on Shahrukh a few years back. He had shot for an entire tele-film which was titled ‘Cheque De India’ and had taken digs on Shahrukh with mannerisms and stammering dialogue delivery alike. This spoof was so popular that it saw multiple re-runs in television for weeks in succession,” recollects an insider.
However, Shahrukh chose to ignore it all.
“There are so many out there who have made a career out of either copying him. If Shahrukh starts reacting to anything and everything surrounding him, he would be busy just doing that. As a VJ, you have done a lot of interviews with celebrities. How does it feel to be on the other side?
I think it is very awkward. I feel really uncomfortable (Smiles). I am trying to get used to this. I think it is easy to ask questions and difficult to answer.
Was being an actor always on the cards?
