Ayushmann Khurrana Wants To Forget His Spoof On SRK
Shahrukh Khan forgives but never forgets. However when it comes to taking a joke on him, it depends on the vein in which it has been made. No wonder, all is forgiven and forgotten as far as the newbie in B town, Ayushmann Khurrana is concerned.
“Those familiar with Ayushmann’s work on TV would remember the extended spoof he had played on Shahrukh a few years back. He had shot for an entire tele-film which was titled ‘Cheque De India’ and had taken digs on Shahrukh with mannerisms and stammering dialogue delivery alike. This spoof was so popular that it saw multiple re-runs in television for weeks in succession,” recollects an insider.
However, Shahrukh chose to ignore it all.
“There are so many out there who have made a career out of either copying him. If Shahrukh starts reacting to anything and everything surrounding him, he would be busy just doing that. It would be interesting to see what he thinks about the youngster, now that he is on the other side of fence,” adds a source.
On his end, Ayushmann is chilled out about the situation even though he admits that he has never spoken to Shahrukh about the spoof he played on him. He says, “At the time of ‘Cheque De India’, I was just letting myself go loose. Frankly speaking, today I won’t do mimicry and all. Those were my initial years and then I had to build a contrast between myself and other VJs, hence the spoof.”
How about having a quick word with Shahrukh and coming out clean? “I think he likes me. I don’t see any reason why he would take offence at a spoof,” adds Ayushmann in a confident tone.
Well, we would want to hear that from the man himself. Source
