This One’s Crazy – The Ghanta Awards Of Bollywood

Salman Khan’s fans might be exhaling fire after learning that their favourite star has been named the Worst Actor at Ghanta Awards for his performances in the films Ready and Bodyguard.

Incidentally, both the films, released in 2011, were blockbusters. But Ghanta Awards, which awards the worst of the worse, thinks Salman Khan deserves the crown of the worst actor in 2011. To rub it in, Salman’s item song ‘Dhinka Chika’, a surefire chartbuster, was named the Worst Item Number of the Year.

Not just that, Anees Bazmee was named the worst director for Ready and Thank You. And not surprisingly, Nargis Fakhri was named the Worst Actress for her awful performance in Rockstar.

Shahrukh Khan’s dream project Ra.One was named the Worst Film of the Year.

Expectedly, the Bollywood stars, directors and celebrities kept away from the Ghanta Awards (after all, who would want an egg on their face and then get photographed too), but Sonam Kapoor daringly turned up for the event.

Sonam was awarded ‘WTF Was That’ award for how she and Shahid Kapoor don’t manage to exchange a measly phone number over 10 years in the box office turkey Mausam.

Sonam Kapoor loved the show and later tweeted about it as well: “Was at the Ghanta Awards. What a talented bunch of writers and actors! Great show guys.”
