Nargis Fakhri – The Rockstar Girl Is Trying To Establish Herself In Bollywood

Now that Nargis Fakhri has made the fact quite clear that Bollywood is the place she wants to be in, she is pretty much continuing her learning curve. Even as she fine tunes her acting skills post ROCKSTAR, she is going through regular Hindi classes to be better prepared for her next film.

“Yes, I haven’t left them behind,” she smiles, “As I have always maintained, I had never thought that I would pursue acting one day. In fact I wasn’t even aware about how to go ahead with it. Then ROCKSTAR happened and I had to start learning Hindi from scratch. Even though my father spoke Urdu, I had never picked up the language. However there is no escaping that today. I have made up my mind to be in this part of the world which means Hindi is a definite requirement.”

While language is one of her concerns that Nargis is trying dissolve, what adds on to her tough journey is the fact that she is trying to make it all by herself in Mumbai.

“Yes, it wasn’t easy and it isn’t going to be easy,” she says, “Adjusting in a new environment is always a challenge, more so when in an entirely new city you have no friends or family. It was all really difficult and the struggle period was no less, what with language being an issue as well. I think by far I have been able to adjust and I am sure I would manage to do that in future as well.”

Talking about adjusting in a new environment, there were rumours and loose talks around her and Ranbir in abundance till a few weeks back. Today does she look back and smile at it all?

“Of course I do. In fact I laugh about it all the time,” laughs Nargis, “I realized quite early though that such talks come with the job. I had no other choice but to grin and bear. I have adjusted as well and know that there is no other choice but to simply join all the fun.” Source
