Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum Season 3 Is On A Roll ?
Salman Khan’s fall outs and patch ups are ample to keep the tabloid Press from running out of fodder. In early August 2010, Khan had an acrimonious split with the channel airing ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and he strode right out of the project.
Presently, the mediavine is abuzz with news that Khan is all set to romp right back into the anchor’s seat in 2011 for the third season of ‘DKD’. As per insiders, all efforts to rake in a new host for ‘DKD’ came a cropper, as no one could really measure up to Khan’s star cachet.
States a highly placed source, “Salman did the first season of ‘DKD’ charging Rs. 89 crore for 104 episodes and for the second season he demanded a raise. But the channel heads cited recession as the reason and Salman willingly slashed his fee after they admitted to a cash crunch. Considering that Salman had agreed to a fee cut for the second season, shouldn’t the channel have given him an increment for the third season? Anyway, they have agreed to all his conditions, including the fee hike, coz’ Salman told them that we would do season three of ‘DKD’ only on his terms.”
Adds the insider, “Besides, Salman does not have a binding contract with ‘Bigg Boss’ and he can always do it too apart from ‘DKD’, also next year. When the channel heads called up Salman he agreed because ‘Dus Ka Dum’ is very dear to him as it was his first television show.” Source
