Salman Khan’s Veer In Trouble Again !
Salman Khan‘s Veer for the second time in a row is in trouble, facing legal trouble even before it could see the light of day. An FIR has now been registered against the film’s producers and crew for illegally cutting down trees in Bikaner. The complaint was filed by the pro-environment Bishnoi community who alleged crew members felled a Khejdi tree which is Rajasthan’s state tree.
“The team cut down two or three trees without anybody’s permission. Even the authorities turned us down when we approached them,” says Shivraj Bishnoi of the Bishnoi community. In February fans who came to watch their favourite star shoot at the Amer Fort near Jaipur had to pay dearly when the wall of the fort collapsed injuring 15 people including two camera persons.
A case was registered against the film’s producer for damaging a historical monument and shooting was suspended for a week. The High Court had also ordered the producers to cough up Rs 20 lakh to pay for restoration work. By the looks of it Veer will really need to have the courage to escape unscathed from the wrath of the court and Rajasthan’s locals. Source
