Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par Out Of The Oscars

Aamir Khan’s film Taare Zameen Par has failed to make it to the list of the nine films shortlisted in the foreign language film category at the 81st Academy Awards.

Aamir Khan had lost at the Oscars earlier also with Lagaan. The nine shortlisted films include French Cannes winner ‘The Class’ and Golden globe winner ‘Waltz’ with ‘Bashir’ from Israel.

There were many who hoped that this simple film about a boy and his teacher would make it to the Oscars at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

‘Taare Zameen Par’ written by Amol Gupte and directed by actor Aamir Khan is about a child’s battle with dyslexia and how a sensitive teacher helps him out of the situation. Source
