Saif says “one can only compete with oneself”
2007 was a mixed bag for Saif Ali Khan. While he had disappointments in the form of Eklavya and Tara Rum Pum, he also found the love of his life. Now, the sexy Chotey Nawab is ready to roll with action-packed thriller Race. On the verge of its release, Saif obviously has reasons to be excited. “I always thought of Race as a smart and sexy thriller,” he says. “It’s a fun, entertaining movie with masala twists and turns.” Commenting on his super-rich look, he says, “The styling was very important. The two brothers own a stud farm and are rich. Hence, the feel of the film needed to be like that.” Ask him to speak about his role and he’s more than ready. “I play a cool businessman who is nice as long as the competition is face-to-face. However, if someone backstabs him, he won’t hesitate to kill him.”
Recently, there were rumours that Akshay Kumar was upset as the promos of Tashan focused on Saif and Kareena Kapoor. However, according to Saif, why would Akshay cry foul if the promos of Tashan aren’t even out? Finally, he gives his take on his race in Bollywood. According to the suave dude, one can only compete with oneself. Now that’s a ‘Saif’ statement.
