Anushka Sharma Feels She is Normal As Her ages Girl

Anushka Sharma, who is garnering criticism with her just release film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, says she has already worked with four top directors of her choice. She speaks about why she is glad she didn’t sign a Vishal Bhardwaj film earlier in her career and is cool for being treated like a regular guy by her male friends

“I kept coming to Mumbai for modelling assignments. I decided to move into Mumbai a year ago with my mom, since my dad is posted out. I haven’t bought my place. Right now I’m very comfortable in the army quarters. I don’t feel the need to move from where I am,” Anushka told

She said, “After Band Baaja Baaraat, I had made a list of directors I wanted to work with and I have already worked with four of them – Yash Chopra, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap and Raju Hirani. The fact that these four directors envision me and I can fit into their world gives me lot of happiness. I wanted to work with Vishal ever since I saw Omkara. I am glad I did a film with him now and not at the beginning of my career, as I wouldn’t have understood his characters. I have become less judgmental and more accepting with this experience.”

Kareena Kapoor Is ready To Wait For Satyagrah

The unprecedented promotional blitzkrieg that Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn undertook during the release of ‘Son Of Sardaar’ in November 2012, has claimed its first casualty. One learns that Prakash Jha’s ambitious political thriller ‘Satyagrah’ which is to feature Ajay as an anti-corruption activist-politician, has now been moved forward by almost a month, from January to February 2013, apparently to accommodate the last shooting spell of Sajid Khan’s ‘Himmatwala’.

That is about to change. For the first time in her career, Kareena Kapoor would be following an elaborate preparation plan for Prakash Jha’s “Satyagraha”.

Now with Himmatwala schedule getting delayed Ajay Devgn has no choice but to complete the earlier film before plunging into Satyagrah, even if that means a delay in starting Prakash’s film. And the person bearing the brunt of Ajay’s absence happens to be style diva Kareena Kapoor. A lot of her dates, which she had secured for Satyagrah, have now gone in vain. Even Amitabh Bachchan is on the same boat.

Says a source close to the project, “Kareena would have to become thoroughly familiar with present day political affairs. And that doesn’t mean just newspaper headlines. Prakash wants her to become sensitized to India’s contemporary politics. Her character is a fiercely militant investigative journalist. For her to look credible Parkash feels the words about present day politics and politicians should not come from the script. They should flow naturally from the actress’ sensitivities as an Indian.”

Sonakshi Sinha Likes Competition In Every Field

Sonakshi Sinha, who is relatively new to the film industry and working hard to play long innings in showbiz, says she never tries to race ahead of her contemporaries. Her success mantra is “hard work” and “minding your own business”.

“I believe in healthy competition. I find certain actresses very good and fresh on screen like Deepika (Padukone), Anushka (Sharma) and Parineeti (Chopra). Everyone is here to do hard work and a good job. I don’t try to go ahead of them. I don’t think of it like that. I think minding your own business is the right way to go,” she said.

Needless to say, today she has carved a niche for herself and is loved by many for her unique style and screen presence. On being quizzed when did she first find herself to be pretty, she shared, “I didn’t realize it till I was about 21. Having always been on the heavier side, it never occurred to me that I was pretty. Whenever I looked in the mirror, all I saw was a fat girl. But it never bogged me down. I was confident. My interests lay in fashion designing”.

Speaking over how the detractors slam her generous form, she said, “I have faced this all my life. People have hardly referred to me by my name. They have called me moti, fatty, bhens (buffalo)… But it doesn’t bother me. Five people out of a hundred calling me overweight don’t get me less work. My weight’s perfect for my age, height and body type”.

In “Dabangg”, Sonakshi played a ‘desi’ girl who marries Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey and says that her character “will be more mature this time”.
