Veena said, “While reading Bhagavad Gita it makes you feel relax and subtle. It shows you the spiritual path which seemed very difficult for human beings but fixed your goal in life. I feel like there should be no boundaries in believing or having faith on other religion. I read Quran daily offers Namaz because I have a faith on him and after reading Bhadavad Gita I can say that there is no difference in any religion they all shows the right path”.

When The Dirty Picture was made, the makers claimed that the film was not about Silk Smitha, but we all know it is. Ekta did not get the rights to make a film on Silk from the late actor’s family. So why should I pay her to make a film on Silk, when we can have a better take on the subject. Silk has done films in Kannada with Shankar Nag and Vishnuvardhan, among others. I want to make a better film than The Dirty Picture,”

Earlier the filmmakers had even approached Nikitha Thukral, Charmme and Pooja Gandhi for the role and finally Veena Malik had accepted to be part of the project. Venkatappa who was happy that Veena Malik is part of the project, said that Veena before discussing the remuneration, read the script and was moved with the climax, after which she has given the nod.

Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who had gone ‘missing’ from Friday morning while shooting for a film in Goregaon here, has been found at a hotel in Juhu in suburban Mumbai.

“Veena Malik is in Oakwood hotel. She has registered in the hotel by her real name Zahida and she has all the papers. She was unwell for a couple of days,” Machendra Bodke of Juhu police station told media persons.

The actress’ manager Prateik Mehta had claimed that she had gone missing since Friday morning when she was shooting for the film. He had said that he had been trying to contact her ever since then but her phone is switched off.

The actress, who has been in and out of India for film and reality shows, was shooting ‘Mumbai 125 kilometres’ in Goregaon and left the shoot midway, saying she was not well.

However, the police said that there was no missing person’s complaint registered in this connection. More
