Recently the Khiladi madam Twinkle Khanna accompanied her husband for a couple of high profile events. “And I thought I had walked into the events alone because every time I turned and looked my husband was in front of a television crew giving interviews.
I had to finally request his bodyguards to drag him away,” she jokes. “When it comes to choosing between the media and me, my husband may just choose them,” she laughs.
Akshay admits that at most times he follows Twinkle around like a little lamb, only once in a way he gets a chance to actually stray, in the direction of a mike. Source
Twinkle Khanna is a bit different from her mother Dimple Kapadia as well as hubby Akshay Kumar.
“I am too shy to walk the ramp. I am not at all interested. All I like is to sit back and watch Akshay, my mom or my friends doing the honour. You will never see me walking the ramp,” Twinkle told at the inaugural show of HDIL India Couture Week that started here Monday.
“I am happy as an interior designer and that is something I am best at. I would like to stick to it,” she added.
Dressed in a fuchsia short dress, Twinkle looked gorgeous. Her presence at the event was due to her jewellery designer friend Farah Khan. “I am here to cheer for her. She is a friend and an excellent jewellery designer as well,” Twinkle said. Source
The khiladi of bollywood Akshay Kumar and Twinkle is a happily married couple and blessed with a cute son, Aarav. Akshay Kumar revealed as why he chose Twinkle as his life partner. He maintains that when it comes to mental strength women are stronger than men and he chose Twinkle because she has the guts to kick people in the butt.
“I didn’t fall in love with my wife because she could dance around a tree. I fell for her strength as an independent woman. She kicked butt at school and she could do it now if she wanted. She is fearless to the outside world and I think it’s a great perception for women”, Akshay said.
Akshay has a great respect for Twinkle and feels that she is bold enough to shift from acting to interior decorator and what strange him the most is that she is doing exceptionally well in her new field.

Twinke Khanna is definitely keeping an eye on hubby darling. She made a sudden entry on the finale day of the IIFA 2008 event. Was it to check on her husband since Katrina and Akshay were performing together and there was no sign of Salman around? She clung to Akshay throughout and made sure he never left her side even for a few moments or even attend his calls. There were talks going around that Katrina was trying to call up Akshaye frantically before the performance but Akshay didn’t pick up the phone. Was it because Twinkle was sitting with him?

Akshay Kumar came in for the show in the night and left right after as he had a flight to catch. I had dinner with Twinkle and some of her friends after that and even my mom was with me.
