The sizzling Sushmita Sen’s dormant film career has left her with no option but to simply hope for an award every subsequent year.

“Unfortunately I am not getting any award this time. But I will be back with my other films next time. This time I will just give away the awards,” Sushmita told reporters here.

Sushmita is here to promote her forthcoming comedy film “Do Knot Disturb”, which also stars Govinda, Riteish and Lara.

“I am promoting my film heavily. That’s what I am here for. We are also performing at the IIFA,” she said. Source

Sushmita Sen seems to be extremely insecure considering her role in the upcoming David Dhawan comedy Do Knot Disturb. It is a multi star cast film starring Govinda, Lara Dutta, Ritesh Deshmukh and Sohail Khan.

Our sources reveal, “The film for the first time brings together two former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta. But Sush is not really insecure about her role being shortened as compared to a much younger and hotter Lara. Her worry is that being a more male centric comedy what with three of Bollywood’s finest comic talents Govinda, Ritesh and Sohail coming together for the first time, she will end up getting the shortest screen time compared to the entire main lead cast.

She is trying all the tricks in her book to get a dekko of the film’s rushes to satisfy her doubt. Apparently, David Dhawan is trying his best to convince her that there is nothing she should be worried of but she is still insisting.” Source

Mudassa Aziz and Sushmita Sen made news last year when reports that the director had moved into the actresses’ apartment hit the stands. But it would seem that less than a year down the line, Sush has lost that loving feeling towards Aziz. The duo was first linked together romantically when Sen worked in Aziz’s debut film Dulha Mil Gaya with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. It was even suggested that Aziz had managed to build a wonderful rapport with Sush’s adopted daughter, Renee.

There were numerous mixed reports but the one constant was that Sush wasn’t happy with Aziz for constantly talking about her in interviews. Soon, the star decided to maintain her distance and just remain friends. Adding to Sush’s stress was that Dulha Mil Gaya, which has been on the floors for close to three years now, is still showing no signs of completion. A woman artist who will be having her solo show at the Museum art gallery in the month of June on the basis of anonymity says, “Known art promoters suggested that I inaugurate my art show by Sushmita Sen. I was keen about it but later I learned the terms and conditions on which Sushmita will inaugurate my art show. I would have to give her two art works, which she selects, and that too absolutely free! I was not willing to do so. I think I am better off inviting a senior artist instead!”

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is always a class apart. Neither has she taken a liking to represent any political party nor has she been asked by any party to support them. The lady plainly has appealed to the public across the nation to vote, period. Sush has reportedly urged the public to cast their franchise irrespective of the party they are voting for.

The Bollywood actress sent her message to vote while she was in the capital recently to attend an inaugural function. Sush who loves to be in Delhi is currently shooting for ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’, where Sush will be sharing screen space with Shah Rukh and yet another project ‘Do Knot Disturb’, a David Dhawan film that has a galaxy of stars in the credits.

Sushmita has also nodded her yes for Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Marmayogi’ which will see Padma Shri Kamal haasan in the lead role. There are also talks going one for casting her in a Biopic on the slain leader of Pakistan Benezir Bhutto. Source

Sushmita Sen is not at all happy these days because of her new movie ‘Karma aur Holi’ in which Sushmita is playing the lead along with Randeep Hooda. The issue is that Sushmita is not happy with a kissing scene with her one time boyfriend Randeep and is cribbing that the producers are using this footage to gain in more publicity.

Sushmita said, “My problem is that the makers of Karma aur Holi are promoting the film by sending out sleazy stories. This is not done. This is not the way to promote a film. These obnoxious strategies of promoting a film are simply unethical”.

We tried getting in touch with Sushmita but she remained unavailable for any comments. We did get in touch with Randeep Hooda who had once got the opportunity to date the beauty queen.

He stormed in saying, “I think one should just do their job. Everyone was doing their job. There are a lot of actors involved, a lot of technicians, production people, directors, producers involved in the film. By just going to the press and lashing out statements is a very unethical thing on Sushmita’s part”.

When asked about the fuss she is making to remove the much-hyped kissing scene between her and Randeep, he said, “I don’t know anything about it so I think it is logical for me not to even comment on it”. Source

Sushmita Sen is planning to go in for a co-production of the dream project the mega budgeted historical war epic Rani Laxmi Bai with legendary filmmaker Manmohan Desai sharing the humongous Rs. 130 crore budget.

The film was to be shot on location in Madhya Pradesh and also a huge set was being planned to be erected at Mumbai’s Filmcity. With recession creeping in most of Bollywood’s big projects have either been kept on hold or postponed indefinitely or shelved.

Pressing aside rumors, Sushmita’s spokesperson states, “It is false news that the film has been shelved. It is in fact been put on hold because of the credit crunch. Sushmita is still busy working on the research aspect of the movie.”

Co-producer Ketan Desai also added, “It is a huge project and such a subject requires to be nurtured properly and presently we are still at a stage where we are working on it. The whole of Bollywood has been affected by the recession to some extent. This time will pass.” Source

Our source informs, “Sushmita Sen has been told by Pantene officials that she won’t be continuing as their brand ambassador anymore. Pantene wants to look at younger options it seems and one to be approached will be Ghajini starlet Asin, who is long flowing hair. Sushmita who was once doing well on the ad scene has now been left with just one ad campaign that of International cosmetic brand Olay.”

Sushmita’s last hit has been Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya way back in 2005 and post that she has only delivered flops. Though she has three releases up for release this year that’s Do Knot Disturb, Dulha Mil Gaya and the long in the waiting Karma. Source

Vivek Vaswani’s Dulha Mil Gaya has finally reached the finishing mark with the biggest milestone being achieved i.e. portions featuring Shah Rukh Khan being wrapped up. No wonder, there is a renewed vigor in Vivek’s voice as he announces the near-completion of his film.

“We have just finished principal shooting for the film after filming the last of the talkie portions and the climax. Only a song remains to be picturised and once Shah Rukh is back from Los Angeles in February, we would all come together again and take Dulha Mil Gaya to a close”, says Vivek Vaswani whose association with Shah Rukh Khan dates back to Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman days.

“Post 26/11, circumstances were so difficult for a film to be shot. Yet, it was because of Shah Rukh, Sushmita (Sen), Fardeen (Khan) and my entire crew who all came together to make it possible.

They told me, ‘Vivek, we will make it happen, you don’t worry’. Everyone was completely supportive of Dulha Mil Gaya and didn’t want any further delay in the film’s shoot”, Vivek gets emotional here.

The song which remains to be picturised is a ‘qawalli’ that would be featuring Shah Rukh Khan along with Sushmita and Fardeen as well.

“Meanwhile I will continue to utilize these couple of months that I have in hand. I have already sat on the film’s edit for an entire last week and it is looking wonderful at it’s 2.5 hours duration”, informs Vivek while revealing his future plans, “Month of January would see some intense post production work happening. Everyone associated with Dulha Mil Gaya is supercharged and want to see it in theaters soon.”

Sushmita Sen’s retro gear at Bombay Times’ 14th anniversary was a hit. The plain white hair band, pencilled eyebrows, enormous fake eyelashes were all reminiscent of the swingin’ sixties and seventies. But Sush seemed to have taken the ‘going back in time’ thing seriously.

The actress was initially seen enjoying herself at the bash without a care in the world. But her nonchalance was replaced by an amorous look in her eyes as soon as Randeep Hooda walked in. The ex-flames went up to each other immediately, hugged and pecked each other on the cheeks for a long time. There seemed to be no grudges between the two as they caught up.

The actress got her production company into the act. It is now scouting out for new talent in writing and has full intentions of promoting them as well. The production house, Tantra Productions is currently busy with the film Rani Laxmibai. But besides that, the production house is also launching two new films besides this nation wide hunt for new scriptwriters. The actress holds that contrary to opinions, Rani Laxmibai is not her only agenda in life currently. She is also looking at the larger perspective and wants to facilitate the entry of fresh new talent into Bollywood.

What she wants to ensure with her production house is that the scripts which are submitted to her will definitely not languish in a corner and eventually find their way into a dustbin.
