They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. So, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha must be heart-broken, as her diamond jewellery worth lakhs went missing while she was shooting for Joker with Akshay Kumar.

It happened during a late night shoot of Joker at Film City. The Dabangg actress realized that her diamond solitaire earrings had gone missing from her vanity van when she returned after a walk. She searched for it but in vain. However, sources from the film sets said that she remained calm and continued shooting instead of raising a ruckus.

“My birthday was on May 24 and the cast and crew were ushering it in on the sets. Akshay (Kumar) had planned a celebration. This is when Sonakshi’s diamond solitaire earrings went missing from her vanity van. The theft occured at Film City. Sonakshi’s diamond solitaire earrings were stolen. A police complaint has been launched,” Mid-Day quoted director Shirish Kunder as saying.

Well, Sonakshi must have learnt a big lesson – that diamonds are not forever! Source

Sonakshi Sinha may be the flavour of this season given the fact that her debut film is still plucking awards here and there, but there is a parallel debate going on about this DABANGG girl and that has to do with the kind of roles that she has chosen to play.

Increasingly many industry insiders are tracing parallels between Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan. Though the two actresses might actually belong to different generations, but it seems they have a lot in common.

Adds our source, “The reason for drawing comparisons between Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha have their own logic. Firstly, like Vidya, Sonakshi is trying to project an image of the earthly heroine. Not only that, both Vidya and Sonakshi are reluctant to expose their bodies beyond a certain point. While, Vidya might have changed her ideas now given the fact that her upcoming film THE DIRTY PICTURE will have lot of skin show, Sonakshi for the moment seems to be overlooking this fact.” More

Sonakshi Sinha has been bonding a lot with tennis star Sania Mirza. Soon Sonakshi will be watching Sania’s match at the Wimbledon.

Says a source close to Sonakshi, “Sonakshi and Sania recently met in Delhi for a media event and the two girls bonded a lot. After that,  Sania, her husband Shoaib and Sonakshi went out for dinner together. They got along really well and it was then that Sania invited Sonakshi over to Wimbledon in June to watch her play.
 
Sonakshi will then be shooting for Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopa in USA, but she has promised to fly down for half a day to watch Sania play.

She’s promised that she will take special permission from Kamal Hassan and come to Wimbledon, as Sonakshi’s never watched a Wimbledon match live before.

Sonakshi loves sports and had gone for one of the IPL matches on Rohit Sharma’s invitation.” More

Sonakshi Sinha has done just one film with Salman Khan, but they seem to be mirroring each others behaviour. Sonakshi even has the direct ‘mad’ tone that Salman is known for down to a T.

Romantic rumours have been going around that Sonakshi and Salman are more then just friends. When Sonakshi heard this she posted her reply on twitter, “Writing crap about others puts food on their plates. What’s there. They’re answerable only to 1 person. N that’s karma ”

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha surely know how to add spice to the mundane shooting schedules. While shooting for Shrish Kundar’s JOKER in Chandigarh, they took a calf on a scooter ride. 

Akshay posted a picture on social networking site with t caption, “3 Little Jokers Vindu, @sonakshisinha & me on our way to do a shot in the midst of Punjab where we came across the most beautiful animal of all & took her for a ride!! Lucky Cow.

Akshay and Sonakshi look really cute posing with a calf. We just hope the calf’s mother wasn’t running behind them angrily. Source

‘Dabangg’ sensation Sonakshi Sinha, who stumped one and all with her mast mast do nain has reportedly refused to the idea of an item number. Talks were on for the past few days about the hottie doing an item number in her next film ‘Joker’.

The pretty actress is currently shooting for the film in Chandigarh, with actor Akshay Kumar. The film, which is being directed by Shrish Kunder, has Sonakshi and Akshay as the main lead.

Even though, Sonakshi gave a sizzling performance of ‘Munni’ at one of the award functions, the actress has refused to do an item number on screen. But why refuse an item number now, when all leading actresses willingly do it?

Sonakshi feels she is just not bold enough to do an item song and would feel uncomfortable shooting for it. Though she wants to be part of dance numbers, Shotgun junior has turned coy to a bold avatar. Source

Reportedly, Action Kumar, actor and co producer of the Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Joker’ has gone totally nuts over Sonakshi’s mother Punam Sinha’s home cooked fare that she keeps lavishing on him at Chandigarh where filming is in progress.

States a close source, “Akshay’s diet has gone for a total toss. He can’t seem to have enough of all the yummy food that Punam Sinha makes and sends across for him. Akshay loves Bengali food in particular and Punamji made it a point to cook it for him.”

Confirming the culinary service doled out to her daughter’s lead star, Punam states in a tabloid quote, “I love cooking as it is therapeutic for me. I did made Bengali mustard fish, masala mutton paaya and other dishes for Akshay and the cast and crew members of ‘Joker.’”

Word has it that Punam rustled up the mouth watering recipes either at her sister in law’s place or at the hotel that they were put up in Chandigarh.

Says Punam, “I am used to the earlier style of filmmaking where we would shoot for BR Chopra and other big filmmakers, where we got food from the house and had it on the sets like one big family.” More

Sonakshi Sinha, the gorgeous actress, who is in Race 2, will have to rev up the feline quotient to the optimum as director duo Abbas-Mustan want to do away with her ‘gaon ki gori’ image completely. So the actress is busy shedding extra pounds.

“First, I had to lose weight for my debut in Dabangg. Now I’ve to get into even better shape for Joker and Race 2. For the last two years that’s all I seem to be doing. Losing weight. But I am fine with that. Because it’s important for me to look good,” said Sonakshi, 23.

After playing the demure village girl in in Dabangg, Sonakshi will get into a serious kickass mode for Race 2″.

When Sonakshi requested him to join her, SRK, imitated Salman with his signature step where he puts his hands in his pocket and moves his waist saying, mujhe toh bas itna hi ata hain. Sonakshi actually went on teaching SRK a few more steps and he indeed looked really cute copying Sallu Bhai. Source

“If he really wanted us to patch up, he could have called me or come to my house,” rants Salman in a tabloid chat. “Expressing regret on a chat show makes no difference to me. Shah Rukh’s doing this so that I’m hounded by the media over his question for the next one year. I’ll not accept such drama.”
