Actress Priyanka Chopra is busy gearing up for her performance at the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, but she is struggling to master ace dancer Prabhu Deva’s choreography for the act.

“Heading to shoot ‘Barfi!’ and then IIFA rehearsals… prabhudeva choreographing and is killing me!! Man! What an incredible talent! Woke up tired,” Priyanka tweeted.

The 30-year-old, whose forthcoming projects include “Teri Meri Kahaani” and “Barfi!”, is vying for the IIFA best actress in a leading role award for “7 Khoon Maaf”. The weekend and awards ceremony is to be held in Singapore June 7-9.  Source

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor has alleged that Priyanka Chopra did not take her role in 7 KHOON MAAF seriously.

In a recent interview, the actor is reported to have said that Priyanka, who was his co-star in the critically-acclaimed 7 KHOON MAAF, did not take her role in the film seriously.

The movie portrayed the actress aging from 20 to 65 years, during which she goes through seven marriages. Annu who had played the role of one of Priyanka’s seven husbands, supposedly did not think high of the actress.

Annu said, ‘I have been in the industry for 30 years and have worked with some big actors. But when I worked with Priyanka in 7 KHOON MAAF, I felt she didn’t take the role seriously.’ More

Who looks like a goddess? It’s Vidya Balan versus Priyanka Chopra for the role of Goddess Parvati in the film adaptation of the celebrated novel The Immortals Of Meluha. The buzz is that Karan Johar is keen to rope in Vidya Balan for the role, but the actor Hrithik Roshan, who will be seen as Lord Shiva in the film, is apparently more interested in Priyanka Chopra for the role of Parvati.

After acquiring the rights of the novel The Immortals Of Meluha, written by Amish Tripathi, Karan Johar zeroed in on Hrithik Roshan to play Lord Shiva. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made. Now, the buzz is that Karan Johar is eager to have Vidya Balan as Parvati. Karan was mighty impressed with the actress after watching her in The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, and now thinks she suits best the role of a goddess. Karan may have envisioned Hrithik and Vidya together, but a question looms if the audiences will like the pairing.

It’s learnt that Hrithik Roshan has a preference towards Priyanka Chopra to be cast as Parvati. The actor has worked with her in Agneepath and is also shooting with the actress for Krrish 3. Recently, a well known journalist/critic had reported that at a recently held event, Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor snubbed each other. However, both actresses have claimed that all is well between them.

In his article, the columnist wrote that at an award function when Sonam was being felicitated she noticed Piggy Chops poking fun at her. And not one to take things lying down, Kapoor took her revenge by distracting the front-row with her goodbyes, while Priyanka was receiving her award. Priyanka Chopra is again in the news for wrong reasons. It’s believed that her paycheque for the Zanjeer remake isn’t as huge as cracked up to be.

Rumour had it that Priyanka Chopra became the highest paid actress in Bollywood with a payday of Rs. 9 crore for Zanjeer remake. The remuneration was even said to be more than that of her male co-star Ram Charan Teja who is reprising the part enacted by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1973 original.

But now, a media report alleges that Priyanka Chopra isn’t getting Rs. 9 crore but Rs. 5.5 crore for the film, and Ram Charan Teja is pocketing Rs. 12 crore, which is more than the double of what PC’s getting.

In fact, the price issue all but boiled into an ego tussle between the two factions — Priyanka’s and Teja’s — with each side trying to keep an upper hand. Reportedly, Priyanka’s PR machinery had been in overdrive to paint her as the highest paid, while Ram Charan Teja loyalists have been raining down on her parade and claiming that the south star is getting paid much higher than PC.

Since the time debutant Parineeti Chopra stepped into the glamour world, she has never stopped raving over elder sister Priyanka Chopra’s hour glass figure and acting skills. Parineeti recently admitted that she finds herself inferior to stand next to sexy Priyanka. Reacting to this, PC said that she would slap Parineeti and would throw her into the gym for such comments.

“She needs a slap. I will throw her into the gym right now. I never heard her say something like that, but she is someone who is effervesent, energetic and beautiful. I guess it runs in the family,” said Priyanka.

At BIG Star Young Entertainer Awards 2012, we spotted some of the gorgeous faces from showbiz on the red carpet. Priyanka Chopra arrived wearing a black gown with thin straps, but we saw a red carpet stunner in Nargis Fakhri. The Rockstar babe chose a royal blue gown which looked opulent because of its trail. The classy updo also enhanced her statuesque personality.

Other than Nargis Fakhri, we appreciated what we saw on Aditi Rao Hydari. The quirky short dress in lace and fur was a pleasure to watch at the red carpet, and the credit goes to the designer Deepti Pruthi. We can expect surprises from this young designer who has Sonam Kapoor in her clientele. Recently Sonam wore a sari by Deepti Pruthi while attending the Elie Saab show at Paris Fashion Week, and created quite a stir at the international fashion scene.

Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan are set to be a part of the Indian Premier League’s opening ceremony to be held at YMCA College of Physical Education on April 3.

Apart from Bollywood stars, the ‘Opening Nite’ will also feature performance from a leading international artist, an IPL release stated.

The event will also feature all nine team captains taking the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge, which has been on display since the competition’s inception in 2008.

“With four highly successful seasons behind us, we hope to raise the standards of the competition even higher, as we look forward to celebrating DLF IPL 2012 with much fanfare, starting with Opening Nite,” IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said in the statement. More
