Katrina Kaif To Prepare Herself For Dhoom 3

After dabbling in action in the yet-to-release Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan, actress Katrina Kaif will prepare for another action innings, and this time it would be for Dhoom 3.

Not an easy task, but Katrina is game for it. The pretty girl will be seen in a role of a gymnast in the film, and to go by the reports, her action scenes in the film are almost at par with that of her co-star Aamir Khan. Being a stickler for perfection, Katrina Kaif is hell-bent to get it right and thus has hired an international fitness instructor to help her train for Dhoom 3.

Currently the trainer is with her in London, where she is shooting for her film with Shahrukh Khan. She reportedly trains for two hours every day to strengthen her core muscles and increase stamina and agility. She will be training for four months, post which Dhoom 3 goes on the floors.

However, when Katrina returns to Mumbai she has more task cut out for her. Kat’s personal trainer Yasmin Karachiwala has planned a new regime for her. She tells a daily, “Kat needs to get flexible and lean, so when she returns from London, we will change her workout routine…She doesn’t need to look thin, but lean.” More

Katrina Kaif Signs Nikhil Advani’s ‘Mehrunissa’

It could be a role of a lifetime for Katrina Kaif if she accepts to play Mehrunissa. Director Nikhil Advani met her in London to convince her for the film which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.

Katrina Kaif has been waiting for a woman-oriented film which could give her a chance to prove her acting mettle. There was a buzz that the film might star Vidya Balan, Bollywood’s current sensation. But when director Nikhil Advani recently travelled straight to London to discuss Mehrunissa with Katrina, it was clear that the director is keen on Katrina for the challenging part of Mehrunissa. In the film, Kat will play Mehrunissa in two different time periods — at the age of 20, and again at the age of 62.

Katrina Kaif has also heard the script and would love to be a part of this big budget film, but she has her reservations. First, Katrina is skeptical to look elderly on the silver screen. Though the film has superstar Amitabh Bachchan and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, Katrina has just a few scenes with them, while most of her scenes would be with the younger actors who would play the younger avatars of Big B and Rishi Kapoor. Shahrukh & Katrina In Yash Chopra’s Film – First Look

Shahrukh Khan along with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma has started shooting for Yash Chopra’s next romantic film in London from February 22, 2012.

The untitled movie will mark once again coming together of the award winning duo of music maestro A. R. Rahman and poet-lyricist Gulzar. The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release, the festive time when Yash Chopra movies over the years have lit up homes worldwide.

As all eyes are set to have a glimpse of the much touted movie, the makers released a picture of Shahrukh and Katrina on the sets of London. And going by the first look (where Shahrukh is seen carrying a guitar and Katrina going all shy in the front of the Baadshah of romance) it quite reminds us of YRF’s immensely popular film DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAAYENGE (DDLJ).

Do you think this Shahrukh Khan- Katrina Kaif starrer will recreate the DDLJ magic? Do let us know. Source

Katrina Kaif’s Love For Mangoes & Some Useful Tips

We haven’t even stepped into March yet, but Katrina Kaif’s already dreaming about mangoes. Shooting in Cuba for Ek Tha Tiger, the diva just can’t wait to get her hands on some ripe Alphonsos, dieting be damned. As she explores the new land and its local cuisine after her shoot, Katrina reveals some food and diet secrets:

Nutri-care
I drink lots of water and eat balanced, nutritious meals and exercise to stay fit. I believe that eating nutritious food is very important and fruits form an important part of it. There are many dieting rules and one should figure out what works best for your body. Do not follow anything blindly or from reading books alone. Take professional help as well. I don’t like to eat everything together at meal times; so fruits act as good snacks in between main meals.

Fresh cut
I love mangoes and my favourite variety is Alphonso. Staying in Mumbai helps me get my fill of Alphonsos every season. I remember, during an ad campaign shoot, I had to pose with some freshly cut mangoes. I kept eating the mangoes and they had to keep replenishing them! But to tell you the truth, I like to make interesting mocktails with mango drinks. Fresh mint leaves and ice in a mango drink tastes divine. Also, mangoes make for just the perfect in-between-meal snack. Besides that, I like the simple yet cool and refreshing taste of dahi-chawal (rice with curd). More

Katrina Kaif To Act With Kamal Hassan?

It seems Katrina Kaif is not only in demand in Bollywood but also down south. Recently, it was heard that she might sign Kochadaiyaan with the superstar Rajinikanth, and now, reports suggests that she is approached for a film opposite the talented Kamal Haasan.

The actress is likely to be part of the project, titled Thalaivan Irukkindran, that will mark the return of the duo Aascar Ravichandran and Kamal Haasan, and the makers are keen to have Shankar as director for the magnum opus. Sources further add, “It looks like talks are on with A R Rahman as well to score the music for this larger-than-life movie.”

If all goes well then we might see the oh-so-beautiful Katrina Kaif with Kamal Haasan in this big budget Tamil film. But as for now talks are on with the actress, who is a bit tied up with two films: one is with Shahrukh Khan, while another one (read Dhoom 3) is with Aamir Khan.

After finishing his ambitious project Viswaroopam, Kamal is gearing up for Ravichandran’s film, which is also said to be the highest-budget film ever made in Tamil cinema. More

Shahrukh Conveys His Feelings To Katrina With A Kiss At Colors Screen Awards

The King of Romance Shahrukh Khan may have romanced his heroines in many films, but this time he recreates the magic on the stage of Colors Screen Awards. Interestingly, Shahrukh kissed Katrina Kaif at the award function.

SRK’s performance with Katrina became one of the highlights of the super successful show. Katrina looked stunning in a pink sari while Shahrukh looked handsome in a black blazer.

Shahrukh also shook a leg with dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit and the ooh la la girl Vidya Balan. Source

Bollywood Divas Heat Up The Colors Screen Awards

The award season has just started in B-town and our Bollywood ladies are gearing up for their upcoming numerous fashionable outings. The first big award function of the year, Colors Screen Awards, was held on Saturday in Mumbai, and it was not without its fashionable moments.

The red carpet was shinning with the bright Bollywood ladies, who took fancy to elaborate gowns, blingy saris and elegant anarkalis for the event. Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone stole the limelight with their gorgeous gowns and make-up. Also wonderfully styled were Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif; both the actresses picked saris for the event.

The others who wowed with their western attires were Amy Jackson, Shazahn Padamsee, Madhuri Dixit, and Asin. But since we are also listing the worst-dressed at the red carpet, watch this slideshow to see who failed to wow us, stylewise. Source

The War Is On Between Katrina & Aishwarya

Recently, Salman Khan was caught in an uncomfortable spot when both his ex-girlfriends Aishwarya and Katrina, and Salman himself landed up at the same venue for their respective assignments.

Last heard, the two women can’t stand each other. While both have been Salman’s girlfriends at some point (an obvious reason to dislike each other), zoom reporters dug deeper to find out that when a famous toy company modeled their new doll on Katrina, Aishwarya tried to undermine Katrina by saying that the toy company had originally approached her, but she refused the offer and so it went to Katrina. This obviously did not go down well with Katrina. More

Farhan Comes To Rescue Katrina Kaif

The ‘Bodyguard’ of choice for the whole of Bollywood is Salman Khan. His sister Alvira even famously tweeted – ‘Even a Superhero needs a Bodyguard’ (poking fun at RA.ONE’s debacle). But at a recent party thrown by Farhan Akhtar, the lovely Katrina, whilst making a quick exit, was mobbed by a crowd leaving her helpless and stranded. All of a sudden, someone from the party came out and took her to safety. Interestingly, it was none other than Farhan Akhtar himself as he was caught on channel Zoom’s camera.

Looks like Salman has some serious competition in his ‘Bodyguard-of-Choice’ status in Bollywood. Source

Top Five Films Of Bollywood in 2011

5) Don 2

Panned by many critics, this film makes it to the list for not only being the first genuinely slick action flick of Bollywood, but also because it brought  back memories of a Shahrukh Khan we didn’t despise. Don 2, despite its slow pacing and rather humdrum plot, worked rather gloriously because the Don himself got to deliver some fun punchlines; wear masks of actors far more good looking than him and romance the girl with the sexiest pout in Asia, Priyanka Chopra. Looking back at the year, this is the only mega hit of 2011 that was actually fun to sit through.

4) Stanley Ka Dabba

This film should be much higher up, if only it wasn’t for the lack of its mainstream elements. Yet, this is a small-scale, simple and spectacular film that works as effectively in providing a refreshing twist to the poor state of children’s cinema in India as it does in tugging at the heartstrings without trying too hard. The Partho kid is rather neat, but his father, director Amole Gupte (the writer of Taare Zameen Par) is the one who takes the cake here. A must-see!

3) Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

This film is in our list because this is, by far, the best looking flick of the year, a tour-guide to Spain that unimpressively breezed through much frivolity and mush before taking off the covers and showing us a heart and a soul. This was mainstream, commercial cinema that had something to say — and while the underlying theme was rather stale — the packaging was pretty damn great. Katrina rode a bike all the way through Barcelona only to give a man a kiss, Hrithik Roshan stood opposite her to complete the fantastic looking pair and Farhan Akhtar rose above the role to truly give a heartfelt performance.

2) The Dirty Picture

First banned and then unbanned in Pakistan, this gutsy film is perhaps the most unforgettable feature film of the year. The rigorously censored version in Pakistani theatres should be given a miss. This one is to be seen at home, late at night when kids and parents have been put to sleep. Revolving around a vulgar little South Indian item girl, The Dirty Picture is far braver an achievement than Delhi Belly — another push-the-envelope feature — simply because it uses a female to forward the theme. And what a female she is! Vidya Balan — a genuine actor revelling in her onscreen glory with such remarkable glee — is the one reason why this film is so high up on this list. Trendsetting stuff!

1) Rockstar

Take a bow, ladies and gentlemen. In a year when Aamir was absent, Hrithik was sleepy, Shahrukh and Salman were busy baking blockbuster recipes; one guy stood up and showed them all who the real daddy of performance is. Ranbir Kapoor and this realistic story of music, love and pain are not stuff that Bollywood is used to. Kapoor is a superstar and a spectacular actor who knows how to pull off both sides of him at the same time.

Family Comes First For Katrina Kaif Than New Year Performances

Thanks to Sheila Ki Jawani and Chikni Chameli, we have no doubt about the fact that Katrina Kaif must have received countless offers to perform at a hotel or a party on the 31st of December. And while most stars cash in on their popularity and dance on the eve of New Year, Katrina Kaif has declined all the offers.

Katrina Kaif said that it’s only during New Years and Christmas that her whole family comes together; and that is a really special occasion for Kat! She also said that she would never let go these special family moments just coz she has to perform at a hotel!

Not only this, Katrina Kaif also said that she would only perform on New Years if she is given a mammoth amount of money! She said that the amount should be so huge that it compensates the amount of working in two movies or so that she can buy another house for herself in London; and she says she has not received any such luring offer yet!
