It’s a natural feel that if your first child is a girl then you wish your second child to be a baby boy. To get the warmth of two genders is obvious but versatile actress Kajol doesn’t feel so. She has a wonderful daughter Nysa and will be equally happy if she again becomes mother of a baby girl. Son is not top priority for the actress.

Kajol says, “I’m just hoping for a healthy happy baby and a healthy happy momma to look after the baby. I’ve a wonderful daughter. How can I say no to another girl just like her? I don’t believe I need a son to complete my family. My sister Tanissha and I made a complete family.”

Kajol strongly believes that a woman should have babies when she is sure that she can devote her time to the new born. Kajol is happy to do limited films in a year. She says, “I enjoy doing just one or two films a year. If I do too many films people would get bored of me.”

The Kajol-Arjun Rampal-Kareena Kapoor starrer We Are Family is readying for its release during Eid in September which means that publicity king Karan Johar has already started preparing for the film’s promotions. However, there is a small glitch – Kajol, who is expecting her second child, will not be able to take part in the extensive promotional campaign of the movie.

Which is why Kareena has taken upon herself to promote the movie-in her absence- and she has already allotted a chunk of her dates for the same. The campaign, which will consist of many city tours and other activities, will be kick started soon. Siddharth Malhotra, who is directing this Stepmom remake, said, “The film is definitely releasing on Eid. It is everybody’s film and the entire cast will be available whenever they can. But it would be too much if we expect Kajol to travel everywhere”.

However, following reports of Kareena’s active participation in the movie’s promotion, Kajol has decided not to be left behind. A source close to her tells us that she recently had a strong craving for South Indian food. Immediately Kajol requested Muthuswami, a famous South Indian caterer from Mumbai to come to her house and cook sumptuous dishes.

Muthuswami, incidentally is a well known caterer who supplies South Indian cuisine to various parties and events. One has to book him in advance for the same. A four day shooting of Siddharth Malhotra’s remake of ‘Stepmom’ was being monitored with acute attention. Reason: a pregnant Kajol was… dancing atop a piano to Bosco and Ceaser’s vigorous steps!!

Initially, Kajol was a wee apprehensive when she saw the energetic moves and gyrations that she was required to do for the Elvis Presley number ‘Jailhouse Rock’.

Sensing her anxiety, the choreographers had toned down the steps and had cast aside the twist atop the piano. Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Kajol were part of the song number, and a supremely professional Kajol danced atop the piano, managing to get in right in two takes!

Unbelievable response marked the limited release of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “My Name Is Khan” in 13 cinema halls in Mumbai even as the Shiv Sena continued its protest against the film across Maharashtra. Shiv Sainiks attempted to disrupt the screening of the film at all the 13 cinema halls here despite heavy security arrangements. The film was originally scheduled to be released in 63 movie halls in this metropolis. Most of the cinema owners backed down after threats from Shiv Sena which is protesting Shah Rukh’s comments seeking inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in this year’s edition of the Indian Premier league (IPL).

Police baton charged Sena supporters at K-Star mall in Chembur and pushed back activists attempting to barge inside Fun Republic mall in Andheri West to disrupt the screening of the film Friday afternoon. The movie opened to a full house in Fun Republic shortly after noon though its first scheduled show at 9.30 a.m. was cancelled. In Dadar, former Lok Sabha speaker and ex-chief minister Manohar Joshi was prevented from disrupting the screening of the movie. Similar scenes were witnessed outside all 13 cinema halls where the film finally released Friday after days of uncertainty.

In a bid to boost public confidence and save the government’s image, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, state Home Minister R.R. Patil and Minister of State for Home Ramesh Bagwe purchased tickets and watched the movie at INOX cinema in south Mumbai. INOX cinema also got a house full response to the film. More

The first pics of Karan Johar’s Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer, My Name is Khan, are out. The film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios in a record Rs 98 crore deal with Dharma Productions and Red Chillies.

This is the biggest deal ever for a Bollywood outstripping Rs 90 crore for Aamir Khan starer Ghajini and Rs 70 Crore for Om Shanti Om bagged.

Kajol, who celebrates her birthday today has already received a gift from husband, Ajay Devgan yesterday. It is a white Audi Q7.

Our sources inform, Kajol is very fond of cars. She has been driving a Mercedes, which was also gifted to her by Ajay, when their daughter, Nysa was born. The Audi was delivered at their Juhu bungalow on Friday. Ajay had parked it in the basement so that he could surprise his wife the next day. Next morning , on the pretext of taking her out, he surprised her with the gift.

Ajay, who is currently shooting for Milan Luthrias Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, will be taking a day off on August 5 to spend time with Kajol.
