As the newly appointed director of Human Rights for the Women and Children Welfare department, actress Esha Koppikar has set out to form her own team for the department. Koppikar says that she needs 25 volunteers to work on a part-time basis and she is still recruiting.
“I am the 25th member and we are badly looking for volunteers who are ready to work for the cause of women and children in this state. We already have a plan in place on how we are going to work but what I desperately need are eager hands to work with me. I would like to take this opportunity to extend an open to invitation to all boys and girls to join me in this movement. I am keen to recruit girls since this is for the welfare of women and children in the state,” she says. Koppikar is still short of 10 members.
The actress says that she has been busy attending various meetings with senior officials of the home department, where she has discussed her plans in detail. Koppikar says that she has not been allotted an office by the state government yet but that will not stop her from starting her work. More
After shooting a sensuous scene Isha Koppikar is suddenly very conscious of her onscreen image after she got married to Timmy Narang. She has requested the producers of ‘Right Yaaa Wrong’ to snip off a sensuous scene she shot with Aarav Chowdhury.
According to sources, while Isha was rather carefree about the kind of roles she did, like the lesbian character in ‘Girlfriend’ opposite Amrita Arora. The raunchy scene in this film was shot about two years ago when she wasn’t anywhere close to getting married. However, now that she is part of such a respectable family, the need has arisen for her to carefully think about the kind of image she portrays.
The story has been confirmed by director Neeraj Pathak who stated that the actress indeed requested for the scene to be deleted as she wants kids to be able to watch the movie too. He has, however, been unable to listen to her request as the scene was essential. So, he has simply made a few changes.
Isha has, strangely, denied the story and states that the film is being edited by the director who is editing out scenes that aren’t necessary to the plot.
The sizzling Khallas girl Isha Koppikhar, who tied the knot with restaurateur Timmy Narang at a temple, says that she always wanted to get married in a temple. “Temple is something really pure, it’s really nice to get married in a temple. I always wanted to get married in a temple,” Eesha told reporters Sunday at the reception. Unlike other stars’ marriage, Timmy and Eesha kept the ceremony simple and low profile.
“It was very much a family and intimate affair. I think one has to cherish and enjoy private moments so it was kept low profile intentionally,” said Timmy. The couple is heading to the Caribbean for their honeymoon.
“There is a beautiful set of islands called Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean… it is a very romantic place. We will go there by the end of the year,” said Timmy. Actors Prem Chopra, Manoj Kumar, Chunky Pandey, Tulip Joshi and Celina Jaitley were among those who attended the reception.
Eesha became a known name in the industry after her hit song Khallas in Ram Gopal Varma’s underworld drama Company. Later she shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Don – The Chase Begins Again. Source

Isha Koppikar‘s sangeet party got off to a comic book start when the bride-to-be — looking gorgeous in an Ashley Rebello gown — and future husband Timmy Narang hosted a Barbie and Ken Disco theme party in Mumbai on Saturday.

Bollywood babe Isha Koppikhar, who is hosting the wrestling reality show De Dhana Dhan, had a fun time shooting in South Africa. She recently met the King of Jungle at Johannesburg Lion Safari and also explored the wild life of South Africa.
Says Eesha, “It was such fun doing 100% De Dhana Dhan in South Africa. The warmth of the people can only be compared with that our people of India. I always wanted to visit South Africa also for its diverse wild life. Being an ardent animal lover, I was really looking forward to experience the wild life safari. So, at the first given opportunity, I just took off to visit the lion’s park at Johannesburg.”
“The experience was thrilling and endearing. Not only did I get a chance to see Lions up close in person, but I also got a chance to play with the cubs. It was an amazing experience playing with cubs. They pulled, scratched, even tried to bite… but it didn’t matter as I was so happy just to be there. I guess neither the cubs or I felt threatened in each other’s company. Like human babies, all that they wanted was fun and pampering. I just loved the way the cubs were being treated at the lion’s park. In a protected environment, they were so free. More
Eesha Koppikar admits she has made some bad career decisions but blames it on her manager whom, she says, she trusted blindly. The actress says it was her manager who misled her into signing a B-grade skin flick like ‘Haseena – Smart, Sexy, Dangerous’, in which she had passionate lovemaking scenes with her co-star.
“I trust people very easily and I trusted my manager, Babubhai Thiba, too, but he misled me on several occasions,” Eesha is quoted by a news agency. Haseena – smart, sexy, dangerous’ is a B Grade film, which I learnt only after signing it. Babubhai misled me by not letting me know about the actual status of the film,” said Eesha while talking about the film that will remain a botch on her onscreen image.
The movie, a superdud, starred Raj Babbar , Preeti Jhangiani , Tara Sharma and Kiran Janjani. Eesha also rues doing a forgettable and insignificant role in Abbas-Mustan’s 36 China Town. The actress now plans to shape her career carefully. Source

Isha Koppikar was caught for an interview :
Working with Rajshri Productions is a revelation in itself. Did you ever dream of it that one day you’ll work with them?
Once we enter Bollywood, any actor on his or hers wish list has a couple of production houses he or she wants to work with. Rajshri is one of them and I was no different.
I’ve always wanted to work with Rajshri because of the way they portray human emotions on screen and the way they present their female leads. Rajshri’s motto is simple living and high thinking. They are such a wonderful bunch of people to work with.
What makes Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi different from other Rajshri films?
The genre is more or less the same, what Rajshri uses in all their films. But the film will be a bit different as far as the story is concerned. It’s not too much of a family involved this time. It’s about a struggle of a woman and how a man stands by her.
I play a typical Rajshri heroine and Sonu Sood plays a typical ‘Prem’, Rajshri’s favourite. Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi is a new look to Rajshri cinema in a way.
So how was it to work with a face not known by many in Bollywood – Sonu Sood?
There is always a first time for everyone. Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi is Sonu’s first big film and even mine. I don’t think anybody has presented me in the way Rajshri has. This is one of my best films in my career I’ve done, including Shabri, which is yet to be released. Full News
With a red belt in taekwondo, Eesha Koppikhar is now keen on doing an action film, in contrast to her demure and simple look in the forthcoming film “Ek Vivaah…Aisa Bhi”.
“I love action and I really want to do an action film. Maybe something like ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’ or a ‘Million Dollar Baby’,” Eesha told over phone from Mumbai. The actress, whose claim to fame are item numbers “Khallas” and “Ishq Samundar”, reveals that she has been learning taekwondo for the past six years.
“Taekwondo requires your entire body to work at the same time and it helps the mind also. I feel while practising taekwondo, one becomes more focussed,” Eesha said. Apart from taekwondo, the actress regularly practises yoga and heads to the gym. Source
Actress Isha Koppikar’s crazy love is revealed. Apparently the sultry siren of Bollywood Isha is an absolute animal lover and she is particularly fond of dogs (especially canines). And this crazy fondness of hers (for dogs) was experienced on the sets Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi.
It was during this hectic Bhopal schedule, where the pretty actress was shooting for Rajshri Productions upcoming release Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, when she badly missed her pets back at home. Leaving the shoot in the midst was also not feasible. So she simply called up one of her friend in Bhopal and borrowed her friend’s Labrador, and also took him along on the sets. Everything was fine but when this jumbo animal made his entry on the sets a huge panic was created around. As few of the unit members who have terribly fear of canines got petrified. Source
Last week the Khallas girl Isha Koppikar was rushed to the hospital. She was on the sets of Rajshri’s Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi when the unit members hit the panic button. Apparently, Isha fainted on the sets and was rushed to the nearest maternity hospital. Isha feels that it was stress and long working hours that aggravated her condition. But the unit members of the film have a different story to tell.
As confirmed by a source, she asked the people to take her to the nearest gynaecologist. That incident triggered off the speculations about her alleged pregnancy. When we hear her side of the story she said that she was definitely in a maternity hospital for 4 days but getting treated for stress and nothing else.
Being a complete actor, Eesha says that she gets so engrossed in the character she plays that she doesn’t remember eating or sleeping thus it in turn affects her health. However she rebuffs rumors about her pregnancy by calling it nothing but rubbish! Source
After completing her pending projects in Bollywood Isha Koppikar is all set to move to New York to try her luck in Hollywood.
“After finishing my part for Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi , Hello Darling and Hello , I intend to take a one month break and enhance my networking amongst Hollywood circles,” Isha says.
“I have an agent in New York, but the arrangement won’t work till I make my presence felt there,” says the actress who first came into limelight with the item number ‘Khallas’ in Company . While ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ is a love story set in the backdrop of music, ‘Hello’ is an onscreen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s famous novel ‘One night at the Call Centre,’ she says.
Relishing the prospect of playing the lead role in ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’, Isha says, “It’s the journey of a woman in the world of music, that also deals with her love interest, how they meet and get separated.” More
Isha Koppikar was found behind a guy on th bike. Don’t get those naughty ideas. It’s only her fitness trainer giving her a ride to the classes.
No, it’s not a way to save petrol giving the rising fuel price. Just that Isha’s driver has had a mishap and has to be off his feet for a whole month! Now, since Isha is totally into fitness, a month’s absence on her driver’s part sent her into a panic mode since she doesn’t like missing even a day of her fitness class and she had already missed about a week.
But then, where there’s a will there’s a way and Isha’s solution is hitching a ride with her trainer. Oh, did we mention Isha loves bikes? Yeah, she does… isn’t that nice? She gets a ride on the bike and doesn’t miss her fitness classes. If you wanna know how serious she is about these sessions, she goes for them at 5.30 am without fail and then gets about other regular work.
We wonder our trainer would also give us a ride some day. Source
