Actress Genelia D Souza has been a fan of actor John Abraham for a while now. And it is almost like a dream come true for her when she found herself sharing screen space with him in her next film, Hook Ya Crook.

This is a crush which probably dates back to Genelia’s college days when John attended the college fete. The actress, who shot into prominence after the success of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, is also working with actors like Fardeen Khan and Harman Baweja in films like It’s My Life and Life Partner. The actress is currently being offered a lot of roles which have her cast in girl next door mould.

But she has no problems with that right now. She is open to challenges and even open to doing an all out commercial film or even action movies. Despite not having become an overnight sensation like her co star Imran Khan, Genelia, like her name, is quite genial, and has no qualms about that. Actress Genelia D’Souza has denied all the reports, which hinted that her friendship with “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” co-star Imran Khan was treading a rocky path.

“Imran is a dear friend, there is no misunderstanding between us and we are very good friends. Everything is absolutely fine these are just rumours,” Genelia said.

“It all depends on how you want to be treated and how you carry yourself. People can be very bad to you or very good with you in the industry,” she says. The actress says she is “excited” that her last film did so well and that she likes working with new talents.

“I am working with John Abraham in ‘Hook Ya Crook’ it’s a David Dhawan film, I have ‘It’s my Life’ with Harman Baweja and ‘Partner’ with Abbas Mustan,” she says about her upcoming films in 2009. Genelia’s “It’s my Life”, which stars Nana Patekar is the remake of her superhit Telugu film “Bommarillu.”

“Partner” directed by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by director duo Abbas Mustan is a multistarrer with actors like Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna and Prachi Desai.

The actress says she is quite happy that she made a name for herself in Bollywood even though she did not have a godfather in the industry. “I don’t think it is necessary to have a godfather in the industry. I don’t have a godfather,” says the actress. Source

The latest sensation in Bollywood Genelia D’Souza has denied reports of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh. She had teamed up with the actor for her debut film in Hindi Tujhe Meri Kasam. Later there were many rumours about them. The recent one was that both had married secretly against the wishes of their parents.

But the cute girl has completely denied all their rumours and reports about her affair with the actor. She commented, “I’m very much single. Riteish is my friend. That’s all. Actually I don’t have time for romance in real life with anyone. It is all happening in reel life only. I’ve no idea where these rumours emerge from. Deshmukh is my close friend and we both are very busy in films. 
 
When we occasionally meet up, we normally speaking about our films and career. “I haven’t planned anything in my life. It has happened automatically, but when I see how I was appreciated down south, I fell in love with the industry. I’ve planned to do more films in South”, says the actress. Source
