Padukone,while interacting with media on Friday on the sidelines of an event in Mumbai to promote her flick,said that the promos have generated a lot of excitement among the people and so,in turn,she hopes that film would be a great success.

Reportedly, director Anurag Basu had clinched the deal to pair up real life ex flames DP and Ranbir Kapoor in his flick. In fact, Dippy had always maintained that she had nil problems pairing up with Ranby Boy professionally.

Apparently, the ex twosome had shook hands and agreed to nod assent to the venture, after Basu gave them a joint narration. Earlier reports, hinted that Dippy had told Basu that she’d act in his flick only if her role was at par with that of Priyanka Chopra’s in ‘Silence’.

Apparently, it was the repeated changes in the script which irked Deepika and made her quit Basu’s flick!

States a close source, “Basu’s initial plan was to cast Ranbir and Deepika together and that was his game plan. Deepika stars alongside Abhishek Bachchan in Gowariker’s period thriller based on the Chittagong uprising during the freedom struggle.

The actress, who started her Bollywood journey with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’, will be seen in a new look in the film.
