It has been confirmed that Aishwarya Rai will be attending the Cannes Film Festival in May. This year she is attending Cannes on behalf of L’Oreal and not for promoting any film. She has been the global face of L’Oreal brand for a decade and being a true professional, she always honors her commitments to the company. Also, Mrs Bachchan is likely to travel with her five-month-old daughter, commonly known as Beti B. This will be the little girl’s second time abroad, after travelling to Dubai with her mother earlier this year.
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world’s premiere film events and it’s a good opportunity for Aishwarya to renew her contacts with producers and directors from outside the Bollywood film industry.
Aishwarya won’t be the only member of Bollywood film industry walking the red carpet. Arjun Rampal and Bipasha Basu will also be there.
The Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 16 to 27 in France. Source

Finally, three months after she was born, the daughter of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan has a name.
The Bachchans have indeed taken their sweet time to zero down on a name for their bundle of joy. The name starts with an ‘A’ or even ‘Aa’, but it’s not yet been revealed to the world. However at a forum where Abhishek Bachchan was a speaker, he confirmed that the name has been finalized.
“We’ve got a name, and I’ll announce it very soon, but in terms of releasing a photograph you know I… if people see her in everyday life that’s fine by me, but I just think releasing the photograph is a very pompous thing to do. We don’t believe in any ceremony in terms of naamkaran,” Abhishek Bachchan said.
There has been a rumour that the Bachchans have finalized the name ‘Aaliya’ for the little one, but Abhishek denied that.
Buzz is that the Bachchans will announce the name of Aishwarya Rai’s daughter to the world once Amitabh Bachchan returns home from Seven Hills Hospital where he’s recuperating from a surgery done ten days ago. More

Recently, Salman Khan was caught in an uncomfortable spot when both his ex-girlfriends Aishwarya and Katrina, and Salman himself landed up at the same venue for their respective assignments.
Last heard, the two women can’t stand each other. While both have been Salman’s girlfriends at some point (an obvious reason to dislike each other), zoom reporters dug deeper to find out that when a famous toy company modeled their new doll on Katrina, Aishwarya tried to undermine Katrina by saying that the toy company had originally approached her, but she refused the offer and so it went to Katrina. This obviously did not go down well with Katrina. More

‘Shah Rukh drops by to meet the ‘little one’, a few others too from the fraternity visit the still in wonder bundle.. and we spend all our time in trying to spend as much time as possible with her !! Simple pleasures of life..!!’ Big B wrote on his blog.

As reported, a lavish ceremony will be organised for the baby post January 15 (Makar Sankranti, which is when the period finishes).
Bring all this up and Abhishek Bachchan says, “I haven’t figured the name yet. But I’ll lock on it soon. Aishwarya (wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and I didn’t know whether we were going to have a boy or girl. So we didn’t jot down names.”
However, he admits they want to settle for a name that starts with the alphabet ‘A’. “We had shortlisted a few, but it’s difficult to choose that ‘one’,” asserts the new father, adding, “I can’t tell you the names that we’re considering right now. Ash and I want it to be with the letter A.”
The new father is often compared to his dad — Amitabh Bachchan — in terms of his acting skills and box-office hits. Does he feel his daughter too may face those pressures? “It’s a blessing to be my parents’ son and my grandparents’ grandson. My child will grow up saying her parents are actors. But I don’t want her to use that as a crutch. She will have to work her way around things the way her parents and grandparents did,” states Abhishek, whose forthcoming film, Players releases this Friday. More
