Be it for his nasal singing or his fresh female leads, the singing sensation Himesh Reshammiya is always a talk of the town. The latest buzz is that the singer turned actor has sustained his trend of new heroines with his next film after Karzzzz, Hey Gujju. After romancing two new faces, Himesh will now be seen with model Shruti Aggrawal playing his love interest in Hey Gujju. The film is a romantic comedy, directed by Satish Kaushik.

It’s interesting to know that where models like Anushka Sharma are opting for movies with big names like SRK for their debut, why did Shruti choose Himesh? “Everything about him is very positive and I am happy to get a platform by a renowned director like Satish Kaushik”, says Shruti. Himesh Reshammiya has decided to give something back to the people who have made him so famous… auto-rickshaw drivers and cabbies. Aap Kaa Surroor too, the singer-turned-actor had done his bit for his large fan following. He shot the climax scene with three rickshaw drivers. This time, Himesh has conceptualised an all-India event for the cabbie and auto drivers. The drivers will have to submit a Xerox of their ID with their entry forms.” The contest is not open to everyone.

Bhushan Kumar from T-Series says, “Yes we are working on a contest. Himesh wanted to do something for his loyal cabbie and rickshaw fans. The contestants will have to answer quizzes on Himesh, Karzzzz and his former film Aap Kaa Surroor. There will be two winners getting Rs 20,000 each. The money raised from this event will be used for the welfare of children.”

Himesh is also very excited about this, saying, “I owe my success to all my cabbie and auto driver brothers all over India, and as tribute, and I want to do this Karzzzz show. I want to do something for each one who has been responsible for my success! The contest is a great way of reciprocating my feelings towards them. I don’t know who else is performing but I will be singing four songs from Karzzzz. It’s going to be a big event and the drivers will be given free passes to attend. We are still finalising the event details but it will definitely be held before the release (October 17).” Source

Himesh Reshammiya’s Hhey Gujju has new-bee, Shruti Agrawal as a lead opposite him. Hhey Gujju is a romantic-comedy flick directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Studio 18. Shruti Agrawal plays an NRI girl who comes to India and falls in love with Himesh. Shruti has been a known face in the modeling world and has also attended Anupam Kher’s acting classes.

Confirming the news, director Satish Kaushik says, “Since Himesh is playing double role in the film there are two leading ladies, one being Shruti Agrawal who has graduated from Anupam’s acting class and has been a model too. We have an actress from the south as the second leading lady.

Hhey Gujju sounds very unique, “Studio 18 and Himesh had asked me to direct the film. It was Himesh who decided the name of the film. He is the biggest Gujarati star in Bollywood. The kind of adulation and fan following he has is simply amazing. As Akshay is the king among the Punjabis, Himesh is the king from Gujarat. After working with him in Karzzzz, I have realized his potential as a singer, composer, and as an actor. I think he is phenomenal and perfect for the part. Source

Bollywood complete package Himesh Reshammiya said that he is not ready to compromise on a kissing scene under any cost. For weeks now, there have been rumours that Pooja Bhatt could convince Himesh to lock lips with Pakistani actress Mona Laizza in Kajraa Re.

Putting all the rumours to end, Himesh said that there are no kissing scenes in Kajraa re. He also said that kissing scenes make him uncomfortable. Sources reveal that previously there was an intimate smooching scene as part of the script, but after Himesh’s refusal to the kiss, the scene was cut out. An insider from the film’s unit told reporters that the film has a lot of romance in it. Pooja’s films are always sensuous and have an undercurrent of sex appeal in them.

Himesh Reshammiya is working very very hard to gather due credit for ‘Karzzz’, for he is the actor-composer-singer, in the movie. The promo has used all the new-age editing effects, and is almost on the verge of putting Reshamiya on the league of international singer-actors who act, compose and sing in their movies.

The movie is a remake of 1980, Rishi Kapoor starrer ‘Karz’, and the crooner will have to do justice to the example set by the veteran actor. He will serenade Urmila Matondkar, and debutante Shweta Kumar in the reincarnation-themed flick. This theme was quite popular in the 80s, and Rishi Kapoor had quite mastered the ‘lost-memory’ expression, but it will be touched upon after a long hiatus in contemporary Bollywood.

Let’s see if we find Himesh up to par to carry the weight of expectations his role has set on him. Whatever the outcome, ‘Karzzz’ will surely give the producer his due, for people do go to watch Himesh belt out his nasal numbers – loving him or hating him! Where Himesh is still busy shooting for Pooja Bhatt’s Kajraare, dad Mahesh Bhatt has already thought upon signing the actor for his another untitled film which is going to be a remake of 1934 classic It Happened One Night.

The film which starred Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert narrates the story of a spoiled heiress, who runs away from her family and is helped by a man who’s actually a reporter looking for a story. As luck would have it they fall in love. Mahesh Bhatt has previously made Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi whose plot was also similar to this Hollywood flick.

Seeing him work on the re-make of this flick for the second time, it seems Mahesh just loves this movie. So can we expect this movie to be called as, Dil Hai Ki Manta Hi Nahi! Source

Bollywood’s blockbuster ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’ is about to be remade and directed by Pooja Bhatt. And guess who has been considered as the leading man and for whom it will be a great challenge to do justice to a role which is considered as one of the best and most loved one enacted by Aamir Khan. It is none other than the musician/actor/singer Himesh Reshmmiya who has been decided as the leading man.

Shagufta Rafique who has the experience of writing films such as ‘Woh  Lamhe’,'Awarapan’ and ‘Dhoka’ will be writing the story of this movie.

But  comparisons between the acting of Aamir and Himesh will be impossible to make as the film will be not be a frame to frame copy of the original one and Himesh will be playing the role of an journalist which is very different from the nature of the role that Aamir did.

Mallika Sherawat will make her presence felt on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. The cast and the crew had a jolly good time witnessing the cheeky comments passed between Mallika and Himesh since both of them had done a movie together. A unit member from the sets of the show narrates the incident, “None of the mentors – Himesh Reshammiya, Pritam, Shankar and Aadesh Srivastava – wanted to sit with Mallika. They couldn’t ask her to sit next to Asha Bhosle who is the mahaguru in the show. Eventually, they had to make the feisty actress sit with the participants. While all the mentors chose to behave formally with her, Himesh Reshammiya passed a lot of comments against the actress.”

But Mallika Sherawat being her in-your-face self, walked to the sets and the first thing she told Himesh was, ‘Should I expose you in front of the people?’ According to our source, Himesh looked nervous and was silent for some time after Mallika’s comment. The two have worked together in the song Mehbooba in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. But Himesh eventually took revenge by stopping a participant of his gharana from singing one of Mallika Sherawat’s songs. The shooting for the film has already begun in Mumbai and two hot numbers featuring Lakshmi Rai and Himesh have been shot in a Mumbai studio in last two weeks.
