“Just the four of us my dad, mom, my sister Rowena and me. We took off for a 5-days trip to Dubai. We all needed the break.

The last two years and particularly the last few weeks have been very stressful for all of us. So here we are, just chilling and shopping.

Actually the ladies are doing all the shopping. I’m just their bag boy, ” says Harman sounding completely relaxed and far from the tense wreck that his well-wishers in the entertainment industry would like him to be.

“In the past two weeks (after the release of Love Story 2050) I’ve learnt so much about life. I think I’m much wiser now.”

‘Wise’ Harman intends to go shopping in Dubai for his girlfriend Priyanka whose birthday is on the 18th.

Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra point-blank refused to kiss Harman at a crucial juncture in the plot….or perhaps ‘point-blank’ isn’t the correct term to describe Priyanka’s reasonable decision to not smooch on screen, even if the co-star happens to be her real-life boy-friend.

When asked about the kiss that the Ms gave a miss Harman laughed, “How did you get to know about? It’s true both Dad and I felt a kiss would have been most appropriate midway through the narration when the first Priyanka character dies in my arms. Dad had written a kiss into the story here. I was supposed to kiss her as she dies in my arms. But Priyanka chose not to shoot the kiss. We respected her decision and let it be.”

But what’s with Priyanka’s reluctance to express love in a natural way, with a kiss specially when the co-star is Harman? “That’s exactly why she didn’t do the kiss, ” explains Harman. “She couldn’t make a concession with me because then other filmmakers would’ve accused her of preferential treatment. So we simply scrapped the smooch.” Priyanka incidentally, had done a kiss in her first film Andaaz.

“But that’s when she was new and had no choice. Now on principle she won’t kiss on screen. I respect her decision,” defends Harman. Priyanka is pretty clear on the issue. “It doesn’t matter who the co-star. I won’t do certain things on screen.” Source

The Filmy war between Aamir’s nephew Imran and Harry Baweja’s son Harman is hotting up. Perhaps even getting dirty. Imran and Aamir Khan are all set to make an appearance on Salman Khan hosted Dus Ka Dum on July 4, the day when Imran’s film Jaane Tu Ta Jaane Na and Harman’s Love Story 2050 releases.

However, earlier, it was Harman who was supposed to be appearing on the show and not Aamir and Imran. Obviously, Harman has been ousted and Imran has stepped in.

Our source says, “Harman was pretty excited about appearing on Dus Ka Dum, especially since he is very close to Salman.

However, when Aamir learnt about Harman appearing on Dus Ka Dum, he decided to do something about it. So, he suggested to the channel that he would appear on the show himself with Imran. The channel, Sony Entertainment Television, was more than happy with the idea as two superstars – Aamir and Salman would be seen together on the show. So they accepted Aamir’s idea.” But that meant Harman couldn’t come on the show too. So Harman was dropped. He was informed about the change in plans much later.

We contacted Albert Almeida, business head of Sony Entertainment TV, to check out the story. He said, “We had many requests for appearances on Salman’s show, but obviously couldn’t accommodate all. We had planned only for two ‘celebrity special’ shows. Among these, we chose to do an episode with Aamir and Imran.” When contacted, Harman said, “I was very excited about being a part of the show with Salman. However, at the last minute I was informed by Adlabs that it did not work out.” Source

Much hyped futuristic film ‘LoveStory 2050′ is everyone’s point of discussion these days. Harman Baweja has made it known that he is a little bit nervous before the release of the film and he said the same even while rehearsing for his stage performance with his lady love and co-star Priyanka Chopra for this year’s IIFA at Bangkok.

Harman is currently battling the media comparison of himself with the established actor and heartthrob Hrithik Roshan which is based on the resemblance of his face with that of Hrithik. With just a single dance performance, it is yet to decide whether Harman is also a good dancer like Hrithik. “Harman is a very dedicated dancer and has committed himself 100% to build up the dancing skills and achieve this kind of excellence”. The latest crush of all the female fans, Harman Baweja is fed up because of his resemblence to Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan. Though his resemblance to Hrithik may have helped him strike a cord with movie buffs even before his maiden appearance on tinsel screen, but Harman Baweja is not happy with the comparison.

“My looks are not something that I have manufactured. It is what I have born with. There might be some similarity with Hrithik, but I completely disagree that we look the same or I am following his dancing or acting style,” Harman said. Harman who is all set to debut with his futuristic flick Love Story 2050 , said, there are several actors in the industry whose resemble each other. “The tradition of seeking similarity among the actors is not a new trend. When Shahrukh Khan began in the industry, he was compared to Dilip Kumar and similarly Dia Mirza looks like Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra is being matched with Madhuri Dixit ,” Harman said. Harman, who is being launched by his filmmaker father Harry Baweja in the mega-budget science fiction film ‘Love Story 2050,’ has in the movie performed several dance sequences that resembles that of Hrithik too.

Harman, who has already bagged offers from heavyweight directors like Ashutosh Gowarikar , Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anees Bazmee , however felt he was far away from stardom.

Harman Baweja the latest craze in the bollywood, who debuts in ‘Love Story 2050′, admits that he’s truly nervous about getting signed on by five top filmmakers even before his first film is out.

The newcomer is the only debutant to have got five big banner projects in his kitty, including films by established directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker, Anees Bazmee and Manmohan Shetty. Harman is nervous and says there is already a lot of pressure to perform and live up to these ace directors’ expectations.

‘I love dancing though I am not technically into it. Kamal Haasan’s ‘Tandav’ inspired me to train in Kathak for a year and a half. Otherwise, all my childhood I’ve imitated Michael Jackson and Prabhu Deva,’ said Harman. ‘I am not actually competing with anyone. Acting is not a sport; it’s creativity. I enjoy doing what I am doing and I’ll continue doing it.’

Asked about his on-screen chemistry with girlfriend Priyanka Chopra in ‘Love Story 2050′, Harman said: ‘Priyanka is my senior and has worked far more than me. She got involved in the whole process as a team. She’s a perfect co-star.’ The debutant says the film, which releases July 4, is very special for him as his whole family was involved in its making. ‘My dad has directed the film, my mom’s produced it while my sister is the senior assistant director, apart from me acting in it!’ marks Harman. The International Indian Film Academy [IIFA] will be showcasing unique events in an attempt to enable Indian cinema aficionados experience stardom. The highpoint of this year’s IIFA celebrations would be the glamorous IIFA Fashion Extravaganza with leading Indian and Thai designers presenting their fashion lines at this prestigious platform.

What makes the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza even more special is that the beneficiary is the IIFA Foundation, a charity organization set up by IIFA to support families of the film industry workers who have been adversely affected during the production of a film. .

Scheduled on the second day of the IIFA Weekend Bangkok, the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, presented by alternative clothing brand Mufti and Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, will be held at one of Thailand ‘s most high-profile venues, the Siam Paragon Hall. .

The glitzy extravaganza, hosted by Karan Johar, will showcase designs by Alta Moda, Mufti, Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis. Choreographed by Lubna Adams, it will feature 25 Thai models and 15 Indian models adorning jewelry from Gitanjali Lifestyle and Diamrusa. .

Harman Baweja is working day and night to get his steps right for his first ever live performance. “So far I’ve danced only in front of the camera and my bathroom mirror. So I’m petrified. I’m performing my love ballad ‘Milo Na Milo’ from Love Story 2050.”

So will Priyanka join him on stage? “Not really. But she has her own performance. Now of course people will say she got me the IIFA performance, just as they’re saying she got me What’s Your Raashee?,” Harman ends sarcastically.

Shiamak Davar will choreograph the number for Harman at the IIFA that Remo has originally in the film.

Harman concludes appreciatively, “And look at Shamiak’s graciousness. He has decided to retain almost 60 percent of Remo’s steps so that Remo doesn’t feel the least offended. Normally at events when other choreographers redo a number, they transform it completely into their own idiom.”

 Ashutosh Gowariker is ready to start his next film after Jodhaa Akbar. And this time round, Gowariker is planning something different. The director is believed to have brought the rights of an English play and is currently adapting it into a screenplay for a movie. The news doing the rounds is that he has signed on Harman Baweja, who is yet to make his debut, and his beloved Priyanka Chopra, to play the lead in his movie.
Ashutosh’s forthcoming film is being labeled a romantic comedy. This will mark a departure from the kind of films that he has directed in the past. All of them beginning with Lagaan and going on to Swades and Jodhaa Akbar, have been mounted on an epic scale. But this time round, Gowariker wants to change things by making a light hearted, quickie. The film is believed to based on a play which is about the traditional arranged marriage system, as it is prevalent in India. Gowariker had seen the rushes and promos of Harry Baweja’s Love Story 2050 and was impressed with what he saw of Harman that he signed him on. The film, which will be a co production between Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and UTV Motion Pictures, is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year. It will be shot in Mumbai and certain foreign locations.
