Murder 2 Beats Chillar Party At The Box Office

As per the inputs, MURDER 2 took off with collections in the range of 55-65 and even 80 percent, more so in Delhi-UP, East Punjab and Gujarat. In fact the film picked up even more during the latter shows. Given the economics a few sections of the trade have already declared the film a success and it comes as no real surprise as the first day is just a wee bit short of last week’s DELHI BELLY. And that may be because of the weather vagaries in Mumbai city and suburbs.

The other release of the same week, CHILLAR PARTY, despite appearances by Salman and Ranbir, is a washout, and may not complete even a week at some cinemas. More

Watchout For Jacqueline’s Intimacy With Emraan In Murder 2

There is indeed a lot of expectation from MURDER 2. After all if the talkie and song promos are any indication, ‘being bold’ has seemingly taken an altogether different meaning for a leading lady in MURDER 2, Jacqueline Fernandez.

“I won’t deny that…continues Jackie “So yes; there were intensive conversations around how to shoot certain intimate scenes between Emraan and me. But then it wasn’t like ‘let’s make it graphic’ or ‘make it way too revealing’,” reveals Jackie, “It was more about Mohit looking at capturing the right moment on screen and ensure that the intimacy came alive. Now if that required both of us to allow our inhibitions to fly away then that’s fine. We did everything that was required to make our intimacy look convincing enough on the screen.” More

The Intimate Bedroom Scenes Of Murder 2

According to the director of Murder 2, Mohit Suri says shooting bedroom scenes can be a nightmare. Suri, who has directed upcoming thriller, a sequel to 2004 hit film Murder, has shot a few lovemaking scenes with the lead pair Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez.

“Lovemaking is the most difficult scene to shoot because there the director cannot show the actors what to do. You have to let the actors be and let them do their own thing,” the 30-year-old director told. More

Emraan Hashmi Joins Hands With Vishal Bhardwaj

It was news some time back that maverick director Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor will be teaming up, well now we hear that Ekta and Vishal are all set to make a supernatural musical titled Dayaan. Helping them out as the creative producer for the film will be Abhishek Chaubey of Ishqiya.

But what’s interesting to know is that Emraan Hashmi, who has mostly been associated with the Bhatt camp, will be seen romancing three leading ladies in the film.

When contacted, Ekta confirmed the same and added, “Yes, Vishal and I are planning a drama with a breakthrough genre. It will be replete with thrills, chartbusting music and supernatural elements. Three young and happening girls will be cast opposite Emraan.”

The project is expected to go on the floors this November. Source

Emraan Hashmi Is Absolutely Fine With Multi Starrer Films

Emraan Hashmi’s next would be a solo release MURDER 2. Meanwhile one also wonders about the promise that he had apparently made to himself a few years back about not being too keen about doing multi starrers. Forever known for featuring in films that give him an opportunity to play a solo lead, he suddenly seems to be quite fine with working in multi-starrers.

Though he has done over a dozen solo starrers, most of them turning out to be profitable at the box office, he seems to have taken a different course now with multi starrers like ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI already released and SHANGHAI (with Abhay Deol) and THE DIRTY PICTURE (with Naseruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor) all set to follow. Emraan Hashmi’s Role In The Promotion Of Murder 2

Emraan Hashmi is finding himself in a dilemma. Even though practically each of his films has boasted of chartbuster music, he has had enough of it when it comes to promotional music videos. Reason being that in the Mohit Suri directed affair, he is playing a serial killer in MURDER 2. No wonder, he feels that it would be a little out of place for him to start singing and dancing for a song and that too for promotional purpose.

“Call it a personal preference but I find these so called item videos to be disconnected from the rest of the film. Maybe we should just have little bit of such portions and then intersperse them with the actual shots from the film. That would still make sense,” says Emraan who has already expressed his apprehensions to his producer and uncle Mukesh Bhatt.

It may be difficult for him to convince the makers though. After all Bhatts have struck gold whenever Emraan has done music videos for them, as has been the case with films like JANNAT, KALYUG, RAAZ – THE MYSTERY CONTINUES and many more. Source

Emraan Hashmi Is Flying High On His Film’s Success

After making a career out of playing a bad boy in majority of his films, Emraan Hashmi is relieved that now he also has a comic success up his sleeves. His DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI has shown an escalation at the box office after taking a decent start and is pretty much in a comfort zone now with weekend collections expected to be around the 15 crores mark.

“Yes, this was my first out and out comedy and I am glad it has turned out to be a positive outing”, says Emraan who had to convince himself before coming on board for this Madhur Bhandarkar directed film.

He had all the right reasons to be apprehensive though. After all, his earlier attempt at comedy was a disaster with JAWAANI DEEWANI resulting in quite a few detractors pouncing on him due to film’s ‘below the belt’ humour.

“Technically, I still don’t consider that film as a comedy”, says Emraan with a straight face, “JAWAANI DEEWANI went into a completely weird space and the slapstick humour there didn’t work at all. I knew there and then that if I had to attempt a comedy, it had to be situational and funny.” More

Emraan Hashmi Likes To Be Mischievous & Cocky

Promos of DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI are on and while the songs have started making an impact (especially Abhi Kuch Dino Se which is currently on air), one can sense that Emraan is visibly comfortable with his new found pairing in Shruti.

Also, what can’t really be ignored is the flirtatious side of Emraan Hashmi has still not gone anywhere. Playing the character of Abhay who is in lookout for money as well as women in his life, Emraan appears to be carrying forward the naughty and mischievous image that has stayed on with him film after film.

Laughs Emraan, “Well yes, that has definitely remained intact. I like playing characters that are slightly cocky, mischievous, intense as well as funny. You would find that in DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI as well. After playing two back to back intense roles in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and CROOK, this film was a nice time out for sure. I could afford to let my hair down.”

He warns though that despite a good breather that he got with DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, never once did he feel that he was being a part of a typical romcom.

“I guess that’s something you can make out from the More

Is Emraan Hashmi The New Porn Star ?

Hey what’s that ? Will Bollywood’s serial kisser Emraan Hashmi next be seen in a porn movie? Well as far as reports circulating in the media are concerned, the talk of tinsel town is that the actor has given his consent to star in a porn movie, work for which will begin anytime soon. The porn movie in question has been titled “XXX”. In fact various tabloids are of the opinion that when approached with the question, Emraan Hashmi very promptly confirmed that he has indeed been roped in to play the lead in a porn movie.

Though the actor himself has confirmed his involvement with a porn movie, the director Kunal Deshmukh has vehemently spoken out against any such fact as Emraan Hashmi being part of a porn movie! The director says that though he will be making one such film in the future, he has not even approached any actor yet, let alone Emraan Hashmi giving his consent for the role!

Emraan Hashmi has worked with Kunal Deshmukh earlier in films like “Jannat” and “Tum Mile”, which have been successful at the box office. In fact, Kunal Deshmukh’s association with Vishesh Films has been a very fruitful one for Bollywood. So will Emraan Hashmi whose latest release Crook-Its good To Be Bad did not do well, work in a porn film next? We’ll have to wait and watch! Source

Emraan Hashmi Gets Slaps At Home For Kissing Onscreen

Emraan Hashmi, better known with for his serial kisser tag, amazed everyone when he didn’t kiss in his last film ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and yet it became one of the biggest hits of his career till date. But just after a sabbatical from kissing, Emraan is back to what he does the best and in a more grand fashion as he goes international with his kissing this time.

The actor will be seen romancing a ‘Firang’ (Foreign Girl) and simultaneously Neha Sharma, the co-star, in his next film CROOK- IT’S GOOD TO BE BAD, which releases on 8th October all over. However his track in the film with the blond girl has some real intimate scenes which are also very much visible in the promos that have been released so far. On being asked how his wife reacts to his onscreen image, as Emraan is a married man, blessed with a seven month old baby boy now, Emraan says- “Well I do get slapped around by my wife always after she comes out of the first screenings of my films. Obviously I expect her not to understand but she knows that these are my professional decisions which I have to comply with. Well I am awaiting my quota of slaps after she watches CROOK.” More

The slick appeal of the Ajay Devgn- and Emraan Hashmi-starrer retro era underworld saga ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ managed to bring back the queues and the ‘House Full’ board at the ticket counters this weekend.

”Once Upon…’ has been rocking on the screens in terms of numbers. It has had the biggest opening overseas ever, especially in Dubai, for any Ajay Devgn- or Emraan Hashmi-starrer,’ Sunny Khanna, senior vice president, Balaji Motion Pictures, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

‘It has even had the biggest opening in terms of a Diwali release, like last year’s ‘All The Best’ that had Ajay and Sanjay Dutt,’ he added.

Emran Hashmi’s Experience Of Working With Ajay Devgan

Riding high in the success of his latest outing ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi can’t stop smiling, but more than that he is raving about his seasoned co-star Ajay Devgn in the movie.

‘Ajay is a very chilled out guy and made his co-stars feel very comfortable. He is a very non-interfering person and never interferes in his director’s or anybody’s work,’ Emraan told IANS.

‘He is extremely focused and has oodles of intensity on screen. It was a great learning experience working with him…I got to know so much from him,’ he added. The thriller portrays Ajay as an underworld don and Emraan as his protege, who usurps the established order to claim the throne.  Also starring Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai, the movie has been directed by Milan Luthria.
