Bollywood star Aamir Khan and lyricist Prasoon Joshi are quite a team by now. They are working on their pet project on social awareness – films on malnutrition – and the writer says that they connect because they do not compromise on their principles.
“Aamir and I have been invited by the prime minister of India to make campaign films against malnutrition. It’s a project very close to our hearts. Every second child in India is malnourished. Aamir and I are doing 50 short films together on malnutrition,” said Prasoon.

The group is working with the government to design, produce and launch a campaign to alert and educate people. According to data in a hunger and malnutrition report, underweight children under five years at 42 percent.
“We both feel the same way about our art. We can’t take flags and wave them on the streets. But Aamir and I can use our space as an actor and poet to create social awareness. We connect because we don’t compromise on our principles. I met Aamir when we were working on an advertisement. From then began our journey. I hope it continues,” he added. More

“Doctors should not be blamed in this (female foeticide). Everyone involved in this are equally responsible. I don’t understand why there is so much of fascination with boy child. After all, It is a woman who takes the family ahead,” Aamir said, on the issue.
“There is no villain in my show. Who is the villain, it is we all who are doing something wrong. Each problem can be solved through love and that is the reason even my song ‘Satyameva Jayate’ is a love song,” he added.

However, Mr. Perfectionist has reportedly made it clear to the organisers that he would not be accepting any awards but would be attending the event only for unveiling the statue. Bollywood star Aamir Khan, on his way to Varanasi to attend the wedding Wednesday of Rajeev, son of Ram Lakhan aka Nathuni, the auto-driver who drove him around the lanes of the temple city back in December 2009 when he was promoting “3 idiots”, stopped here for two hours and enjoyed the Bihari delicacy litti-chokha.

Trust Aamir Khan to be naughty! The actor has shot a promo of his upcoming TV show Satyamev Jayate with son Azad Rao Khan without his wife Kiran Rao’s knowledge. It seems the cool dad is okay with his son facing the camera as Azad is barely five months old now.
While talking to a tabloid, the actor reveals that a promo of Satyamev Jayate features his son Azad, but that’s for family viewing only. Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao was already furious over using their Bandra residence for the shooting of the promos. Kiran also barred the makers from showing Azad’s nursery.
Aamir Khan says, “Half the time I shot the campaign, Azad was in my lap,” so when Kiran wasn’t around they shot a promo with Azad. Aamir adds, “At first, I told her (Kiran) that we shot a promo with him and it looked very good. Then I told her that I was kidding and we wouldn’t use it.” More
There is a reason why the makers of HATE STORY are not worried about the Censor issue even though thousands have inundated them with queries about ‘apprehension’ and ‘fears’ related to erotica and nudity factor even as the D-day is fast approaching. Instead, they can be heard making unabashed claims about the film pushing the envelope while also conveying the point as-is without any adulteration whatsoever.
Reason being that instead of lying low and pitching the movie any different from what it actually is, Vivek and Vikram have decided to take a leaf out of Aamir Khan’s book.
“DELHI BELLY is one film that gave me a lot of confidence,” confesses Vivek, “Aamir’s way of looking at films is very different and the way he marketed DELHI BELLY for what it is without faking anything gave me a lot of confidence. That made me realize that you can say and show anything provided that your characters are real. As long as you don’t get into fantastical region, people would be willing to hear out and see what you have to offer. This means that even though you may be working with largely newcomers, you would still find audience as long as product placement is right and your content is true to the subject.” More
”I cry quite easily.” The perfectionist Khan admitted this in a crowded press conference to launch the music video of the title song of his upcoming TV show Satyamev Jayate. He was answering the questions by the media. He said that his show helped him develop an emotional connect with his countrymen and there were quite a few moments during the show that made him cry. It also changed him in a way that he does not reject people who have a point of view that differs with his. He would do that earlier. He feels that the show has enriched him immensely as an individual.
He came up with another interesting bit of personal information while answering a question about the secret of his perfect health while all other Bollywood Khans suffer from multiple ailments from back-pain to neurological disorders. A media person wished to know the address of the ‘aata mill’ Aamir gets his supplies of wheat flour from. A quick-witted Aamir said he does not eat wheat products. He eats ‘raagi’ (millet) instead. After dabbling in action in the yet-to-release Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan, actress Katrina Kaif will prepare for another action innings, and this time it would be for Dhoom 3.
Not an easy task, but Katrina is game for it. The pretty girl will be seen in a role of a gymnast in the film, and to go by the reports, her action scenes in the film are almost at par with that of her co-star Aamir Khan. Being a stickler for perfection, Katrina Kaif is hell-bent to get it right and thus has hired an international fitness instructor to help her train for Dhoom 3.
Currently the trainer is with her in London, where she is shooting for her film with Shahrukh Khan. She reportedly trains for two hours every day to strengthen her core muscles and increase stamina and agility. She will be training for four months, post which Dhoom 3 goes on the floors.
However, when Katrina returns to Mumbai she has more task cut out for her. Kat’s personal trainer Yasmin Karachiwala has planned a new regime for her. She tells a daily, “Kat needs to get flexible and lean, so when she returns from London, we will change her workout routine…She doesn’t need to look thin, but lean.” More

The release of the Aamir Khan starrer TALAASH is around the corner and even though the month of March has begun, the question making rounds of the industry is – ‘Where is Aamir Khan?’.
Known for strategic marketing and promotion, there has been an uneasy silence on his front as far as his newest film is concerned. However as has been just revealed, it isn’t without any reason.
“Don’t worry, all is well,” quips a source, “There is a definite plan already in place. It is anyways going to be an event outing. He isn’t going to release this one just like any other film. Also, one must remember that this is a Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani co-production. The promotion is going to be smart yet effective.”
One really hopes that it happens sooner than later. After all there has been good enough buzz ever since the First Look of the film was revealed a few weeks back. While it has gained quite some visibility on the online forums, there has been calm before the storm, hence leading to speculations about the promotional kick-start. More

If last year Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan shone at the BO with their respective films, this year clearly belongs to Aamir Khan. Why? His film Talaash is the year’s most-awaited film and has garnered tremendous response from the fans. Now the reports suggest that the movie’s theatrical rights have already been sold for a whopping Rs 90 crores.
Yes, the movie has struck gold five months before the release, and has beaten Shahrukh Khan’s last year’s hit Don 2 by a margin of Rs 10 crore. Sources reveal that the thriller starring top heroines Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor has fetched Rs 90 crores for its theatrical rights. The deal apparently got sealed between producer Excel Entertainment and Reliance last week.
But the road to success for Talaash has become a bit difficult now. Insiders say that Don 2 was sold for Rs 80 crores because it was a hit franchise. But with this development there will be a great deal of recovery pressure on the film Talaash, which is directed by Reema Kagti, who has never directed a thriller before. Reema’s first film was the lighthearted comedy Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. More
