Veena Malik’s Kannada Dirty Picture Is On The Floor Now

Every publicity is good publicity and infamy also at times make you the subject of attention for all and guess we have the perfect example of it in the form of Pakistani starlet Veena Malik, who as per the buzz recently got mobbed in the city of Bangalore.

‘The Dirty Picture’ starring Veena is about to go on the floors, the ‘Big Boss’ lady has done a ‘as-hot-as-it-can-get’ photo shoot for the movie with her co-actor. The movie is produced by Venkatappa and directed by Trishul and is said to be a fresh story based on the native elements peculiar to Karnataka. Veena Malik on her part said, “As the heroine, I will get a lot of opportunity to perform. The director has packaged the film very well with glamour, sentiments and all other ingredients”. Well, we just wish Veena all the best on her ‘hot’ new venture!

About taking any rights for the film, Venkatappa said, “There’s no question of acquiring any rights. When The Dirty Picture was made, the makers claimed that the film was not about Silk Smitha, but we all know it is. Ekta did not get the rights to make a film on Silk from the late actor’s family. So why should I pay her to make a film on Silk, when we can have a better take on the subject. Silk has done films in Kannada with Shankar Nag and Vishnuvardhan, among others. I want to make a better film than The Dirty Picture,”

Earlier the filmmakers had even approached Nikitha Thukral, Charmme and Pooja Gandhi for the role and finally Veena Malik had accepted to be part of the project. Venkatappa who was happy that Veena Malik is part of the project, said that Veena before discussing the remuneration, read the script and was moved with the climax, after which she has given the nod.
