Snow Creates Havoc On The Sets Of Raveer & Sonakshi’s Lootera

Heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh has left the crew of LOOTERA stranded. The shooting of the keenly awaited Ranveer Singh – Sonakshi Sinha starrer film was ruined due to excessive snowfall in Gawar (3 km from Dalhousie), resulting in the cancellation of the film’s second schedule. The first schedule was completed in Mumbai in December 2011.

It became evident from the Balaji CEO’s tweet that Ranveer Singh was stranded in Jammu for one or two days. And after reaching Dalhousie he realised that the shoot had been called off as the set was damaged. The unit is expected to return to Mumbai and proceed to Kolkata thereafter to shoot the next schedule. The Himachal schedule is likely to take place later, once the severe weather conditions eases out.

Co-producer Vikas Bahl of Phantom Productions confirmed, “Snow has created havoc. We are assessing the way forward.”

The cancellation of the current shooting schedule is not expected to impact the film’s release on October 26 [Bakri Eid].

Directed by the celebrated UDAAN filmmaker, Vikramaditya Motwane, LOOTERA is a classic period romantic thriller. Amit Trivedi is composing the music. The film marks the first-time pairing of Ranveer and Sonakshi, the industry’s hottest newcomers after BAND BAAJA BAARAAT and DABANGG respectively. Source
