More Than 1 Lakh Fans Turned Up For Shahrukh In Kolkata
A swarm of more than a lakh fans watched bewitched The Shah Rukh Khan Show, live, at City Centre Salt Lake on Monday evening in Kolkata. The ocean of wide-eyed faces at the special event, held in association with t2 and supported by City Centre and STAR Ananda, could have easily been mistaken for a rally of protesters, cordoned off by barricades with a police contingent standing guard.
“Shaahhh Rukhkkkk…G.One,” they roared from behind the barricades for almost an hour before the roadshow to promote the big Diwali release Ra.One.
A lucky few — 150 of them — were on the right side of the fence: in the Kund area, where King Khan would make his appearance.
Arjun “Ra.One” Rampal took the stage first and got talking about his chemistry with Shah Rukh on screen. It was to be the prelude to a hugely entertaining hour and a half during which the duo would bring the mall down with their crowd-pleasing antics.
The model-turned-actor had barely started speaking when a deafening roar outside The Kund interrupted him. Source
