Emraan Hashmi Likes To Be Mischievous & Cocky
Promos of DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI are on and while the songs have started making an impact (especially Abhi Kuch Dino Se which is currently on air), one can sense that Emraan is visibly comfortable with his new found pairing in Shruti.
Also, what can’t really be ignored is the flirtatious side of Emraan Hashmi has still not gone anywhere. Playing the character of Abhay who is in lookout for money as well as women in his life, Emraan appears to be carrying forward the naughty and mischievous image that has stayed on with him film after film.
Laughs Emraan, “Well yes, that has definitely remained intact. I like playing characters that are slightly cocky, mischievous, intense as well as funny. You would find that in DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI as well. After playing two back to back intense roles in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and CROOK, this film was a nice time out for sure. I could afford to let my hair down.”
He warns though that despite a good breather that he got with DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, never once did he feel that he was being a part of a typical romcom.
“I guess that’s something you can make out from the promos as well. They look totally different from half a dozen romcoms that released in 2010,” says Emraan for whom this is his first film belonging to romcom genre, “Since this is a Madhur Bhandarkar affair, it gets into a far more realistic space while the smiles are certainly kept intact. Generally speaking, I wouldn’t do a romcom but the 20 minutes narration that Madhur gave me was intriguing. I liked it, made a quick decision and had no other choice but to say yes instantly.”
Well, one looks forward to this being a right decision indeed once the film releases all over on 28th January. Source
