Aishwarya Rai Picks Katrina’s Name For Her Husband Abhishek

It’s not everyday when you come across B-town divas recommending each other’s name for plum Bollywood offers. Recently, when Vipul Shah approached light-eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai to cast her opposite hubby Abhishek Bachchan in the remake of ‘The Italian Job’, she ended up recommending Katrina Kaif. 

Buzz has it that Abhishek and Katrina are all set to be a part of Shah’s Bollywood remake of ‘The Italian Job’. Apparently, with Ash recommending Kat’s name, this puts an end to rumours about their alleged animosity. Earlier, gossips included that Katrina declined ‘The Italian Job’ because of the presence of Aishwarya’s hubby Abhishek and there was another instance that Aishwarya prevented Abhishek from signing any films with Katrina.

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Vipul`s first option was to cast Abhishek and Aishwarya. It was Aishwarya who prompted Vipul to cast Katrina instead.”

When contacted, Shah confirmed the reports and said, “All I can say at the moment is that Aishwarya has absolutely no objections to the Abhishek-Katrina pair on screen.”

Meanwhile, Katrina also denied any rift with Abhishek as she said, “All these ridiculous rumours about me not working with Abhishek started when my dates for ‘The Italian Job’ didn`t work out, and ‘Dostana 2’ got postponed. Abhishek is a great guy. I did ‘Sarkar’ with him at the start of my career. There were other offers but I felt they were not good enough to do justice to our pairing. I decided that whenever we work together again, it would be for a full-blown romantic comedy.” Source
