Barbara Mori Was Bald When Considered For “Kites”

It was expected that Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori are threatening to set celluloid afire with their sensuous pairing in ‘Kites.’ Hrithik Roshan, though, recalls how he practically recoiled when he saw his prospective female lead for the premier time.

Apparently, Mori… was practically bald when Roshan Jr. clapped eyes on her! The actress had just finished canning sequences for a Spanish flick ‘Cosas Insignificantes’, wherein she enacted the mother of a young child who suffers from cancer; her cine character shaves off her child as mark of empathy to her son.

Mori, however, managed to convince the Roshans that she’d be able to grow her lustrous mane back within the six month span mentioned… or supplement her tresses with hair extensions.

Director Anurag Basu and Roshan Jr. were convinced like a shot that she’d be their female lead for ‘Kites’. High flying faith, eh? Source
