Kangana was recently spotted in Bandra on a shopping adventure. But when the shutterbugs crowded around her to get her close pictures they were shocked. The area around her lips was swollen and she looked awful. Something similar to female version of Hanuman….pst pst!

The 55th National Awards, which were to be announced on Friday have now been pushed forward, probably to Monday, because of the  tragic  death of the Andhra chief minister.  It is learnt from reliable sources within the awards committee that both the Khan superstars Shah Rukh and Aamir up for the best actor award for Chak De and Taare Zameen Par, respectively, lost the prestigious award to Tamil-Telugu-Kannada actor Prakash Raj.

Prakash Raj, it is reliably  learnt, has won the award for his sterling performance as a silk weaver in Priyadarshan’s Kanchivaram. This would be his second National  award. He earlier won the  best supporting actor award for Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar. The film  has also beaten popular entry Taare Zameen Par.

Contrary to reports in a section of the press, Anil Kapoor’s Gandhi My Father and SRK’s Chak De have lost the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film On National Integration to Bhavna Talwar’s Dharm. Confirming this, Dharm’s producer Sheetal Talwar says, “Yes,our film has won the Nargis Dutt Award. My wife Bhavna is the first debutant director to win this award . Earlier, it went to stalwarts like  Mani Ratnam.”  Source

Surprise surprise ! Preity Zinta was caught looking very much like Aishwarya Rai in the ‘Kajra Re’ number, and making a similar gang of guys sway to her verve. She is actually doing a special song for dear friend Salman Khan’s home production ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’.

And no, she has not copied Ash, as she has just agreed to do a ‘special’ song in the flick, and not an item song like Ash’s ‘Kajra Re’. The flick stars Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan too. The perky actor said to a news daily, “It’s an interesting cameo. The song’s called ‘Happening’ and I agreed to do it because director Prem Soni is a friend. And since Salman has played Prem so often, let’s just say this one is for Prem.”

Prem (the director) added, “Unlike Ash, who was just a part of ‘Kajra Re’, Preity plays an important role in the film.”

And the best news is that defying expectations, Preity is looking really ‘happening’ in the song. She is reported to have worked hard for the special appearance. With two super fit actors Salman and Kareena in the film, Preity forced herself to follow a special diet, take up a tough exercise regime and do yoga. Source

Talking about dating Bebo, he says, “I was already knowing that she was Raj Kapoor’s grand-daughter, her sister was Karisma Kapoor. I had danced behind Karisma in “Dil to Pagal hai” even I knew that this will be a big issue.”

When Farah popped the question that whether it was his repeated flop that sour their relationship. To it Shahid responded, “She had become my support system. I think emotionally also that she had become my support system, so there was no chance like that. The police team of India are investigating the suicide of a man in Bhopal, who may have killed himself because he was unable to meet Katrina Kaif. The actress is currently shooting Rajneeti with Ranbir Kapoor in the state.

The man was part of a large crowd who had gathered to see Kaif filming the political drama. After he was unable to speak to the New York actress, he drowned himself in a nearby lake.

The police have said they are uncertain of his motivation, but that there is likely to be a link between the two incidents. A senior police officer told : “An identity card with the name Motilal on it has been found from his pocket.

“The youth appears to be around 24-25 years old but there is no clue about his address. He had left no suicide note either.” Source

With her latest film Dil Bole Hadippa ready for release, Rani Mukherjee not just on screen but also on the air waves… burned in a rollicking chat show live from Mumbai’s No. 1 radio station the Radio Mirchi studios recently.

Listeners of the popular station lapped it up eagerly as Rani’s husky voice narrated to RJ Suren of Sunset Samosa how she plays a boy ‘Veer’ and a girl ‘Veera’ in the film just to live out her small town dreams in 70mm.

Then, the actress chatted with winners of a Radio Mirchi contest and tested their linguistic skills by asking them to say the Punjabi words of some of the foot-stomping music from the film. RJ Suren asked, “Rani, what does Hadippa mean?” And she replied, “It is an expression of excitement. Dil Bole Hadippa! means that my heart is very happy and excited.”

In an exclusive interview to NDTV, actor Salman Khan for the first time gives his version of events on what happened in the infamous Jodhpur Black Buck Hunting case. The actor says he and other actors like Saif Ali Khan actually helped a deer cub. Salman Khan also spoke on how he felt the whole 26/11 attacks were blown out of proportion, because the attacks involved the ‘rich and famous’. Salman also denied he had ever raised his hand against Aishwarya Rai during their relationship.

On Jodhpur Black Buck Hunting case-
You are the only one still in that case. What happened?

Salman Khan- You know there were times when I think this is from where it has come from. One day after pack up we were driving by…there were all of us…there was Saif, Tabu and Sonali and we saw a deer cub. It was stuck in the bush. The whole herd was there so I stopped the car and it was petrified. I took him out from there and gave him some water. You know he was there sitting with us. He was scared…. he ate a biscuit and went back. So that is something that happened… so I think from there this whole thing came. More

Q: Hey sop… wats up??? So what is ur next project? R u gonna do any serious film?

Sophie: Prasoom, how are you? Well I have a lovely film releasing called Chintu-ji. Mine is a guest appearance but it’s a fabulous film and I hear the recent screening got a standing ovation! Please see it!

Q: hi sophie, what made you do ‘daddy cool’, was it your character or overall start cast?

Sophie:  It was the overall project — nice starcast, great banner. I grew up watching Inder Kumar films and wanted to work with them. The script was funny and I felt my character Ayesha would stand out. I would get to play someone not just sexy but very cute and funny too. The response has been great for my work so I’m glad I did it.

Q: Hi Sophie, sometime ago, I saw a pic of you in a magazine. You were in a semi transparent top. Do you think it was a morphed image?

Sophie: Hi there. I have seen so many morphed images of mine and its shocking and disgusting! I’m known for my sexy and glam image but one thing is for sure — I carry myself with a lot of class and style and would never do anything vulgar or cheap. Source

Priyadarshan has signed in sizzling beauty Sameera Reddy for his untitled flick. But the lass will be in it only for an item song. The song is said to be more hot and sexier than Bipasha’s ‘Beedi‘ song of ‘Omkara’.

Producer Kumar Mangat said to sources, “The decision on whom to cast for the song was the call of the director. Sameera’s song Teri Issaq will be a bigger hit than Beedi Jalai Le in Priyan’s film which is an action-thriller. It’s been shot partly in a haveli and part set. Priyan is extremely charged up about this film which is based on a report in a newspaper on honour killings.”

Sources revealed that Priyan had made up his mind to cast the actress in this movie when he had seen Sameera performing in ‘De Dhana Dhan’. The actress has really worked on her body to get a slimmer and sexy figure for this item number. Sameera revealed,”“In Kumarji’s film, I will be doing a hardcore sexy folk number for the first time. It’s a rocking number composed by Priyan, sung by Bhojpuri singer Kalpana and choreographed by Kala Master - a top choreographer from the south. It’s like Shilpa’s Main aayee hoon UP-Bihar lootne with full on jhatkas and matkas. My hips move more than Shakira’s.” Source

If rumours are to be believed then the latest rumour doing the rounds in the trade circles is that Kites may not release on January 15 next year at all! Instead the movie might hit the screens almost a month before the scheduled date - ie December 18, 2009.

Apparently it is Rakesh Roshan’s idea to push for a December release and director Anurag Basu and the film’s star Hrithik Roshan have been working overtime on the post-production aspects. According to a source, “The film is now on the editing table and they are gearing up for a December 18 release. The promos of the movie are also being readied for the release.”

It seems Rakesh Roshan is keen that the film’s release does not clash with Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots, which releases on December 25.

“Rakesh Roshan also wants to ensure that Kites be the solo release of the week. Hrithik Roshan has not had a release after Jodhaa Akbar and he has completely focused on Kites for the past year. So everyone is keeping their fingers crossed,” Source
