Priyanka Chopra’s Character In “Kaminey”

Priyanka Chopra will be seen in a new avatar in director Vishal Bhardwaj’s film Kaminey. In the film, Priyanka plays a Marathi girl and it is a total departure for the talented actress.

About her character Priyanka told, “My character in the movie is a sweet, lovely girl who is a Maharastrian and speaks fluent Marathi. At the same time, she is very real. She doesn’t spend time on her hair, make up etc.” Priyanka will be seen with minimal make-up and has worked to make the character’s look completely believable.

According to source close to the actress, “In the film, she plays the role of Sweety who is not only a bindaas girl but also someone who is traditional to the core. She is on a complete tangent if one remembers her ultra chic and glam avatar in the films that she has been seen in over the years.”

From the theatrical promo it seems that Kaminey is a film to look out for, not only for the new looks of the leads but also the new jodi of Priyanka and Shahid. Both she and Shahid Kapoor will be showstoppers! The film is set to release on June 26th! Source
