Himesh Reshammiya, who is quite positive about proving a point all over again with his upcoming films as an actor, had completely given up eating sweets for last few months. Though he carries a sweet tooth, during the shoot of his under production film ‘Ishk Unplugged’ he made a strong resolve that he wouldn’t touch any of them till the shoot got over.
Well, true to his promise, he stayed miles away from sweets during a non-stop 65 days schedule of the film, only to gobble up a dozen odd pieces of ‘Kaju Katri’, his favourite sweet, on the last day of the film’s shoot.
Reveals a source who saw it all happening on the film’s sets, “Everyone knows that Himesh loves sweets. In fact it was quite a challenge for him to stay away from sweets for all these weeks but he ensured that he didn’t break his healthy regime. Well done, Himesh. Source

Having already been served with a legal notice by The National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) in October 2007 for smoking during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit and an ODI match between India and Australia in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is in a bit of a hot soup with NOTE once again. The reason? The broadcasting of Shahrukh Khan’s smoking during an Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Kings XI Punjab is the reason why the organisation is upset with the broadcasters of the tournament.
A statement from NOTE said that the official broadcasters of the series should ensure that footage of smoking especially by celebrities should not be broadcast. Their argument stated that the broadcasted images increased the chances of youngster’s picking up the habit in an attempt to imitate their idols. NOTE has suggested that the event organisers also make regular no smoking announcements at the venues during the matches to raise awareness. More

Here’s a quick chat with Preity Zinta.
Q : Films, IPL, sponsoring 34 poor girls…is that what you call ‘branching out’?
Preity : (Smiles) I have always lived life the way I wanted and always done things that are different and exciting to me. Yes, in your words, I am really branching out because I am loving it.
Q : This time fellow actor Shilpa Shetty has also joined you and Shah Rukh. Comment.
Preity : Watch the matches…(laughs aloud).
Q : Why did you suddenly decide to sponsor 34 girls?
Preity : It was not ‘suddenly’. I always wanted to do something for poor children, especially girls, and what can be better than giving them proper education, good food and clothing. These 34 kids are born poor girls. Just wait for some 10-15 years and see how they shape up! More

The maker of blockbuster films like Devdas and Black, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is awaiting a lead actor for his forthcoming film Chenab Gandhi. When the movie was first floated, it was rumoured that hunky model-turned-actor John Abraham had signed up opposite Vidya Balan, who was confirmed to be the heroine. But then sources whispered that John’s girlfriend actress Bipasha Basu had talked him into turning down the role because of Vidya Balan. John personally shot down the rumours and clarified that while he had met Bhansali, Chenab Gandhi hadn’t figured in the discussion.
All the confusion aside, the movie still lacks a hero and a source reveals that Bhansali might go back to his original choice for the role – Harman Baweja. The shoot for Chenab Gandhi was scheduled to begin in April/May, but has now been postponed to November. Though Harman had been unavailable earlier due to date clashes with Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee?, by November, the actor is expected to be free to shoot for Chenab Gandhi. While this is all speculation, Harman so far has remained unavailable for comment. Source
Though Akshay Kumar seems to have taken a backseat after a hat-trick of flops and the very recent “obscene” turn of events but his former actress wife Twinkle Khanna it seems has decided to take a completely different approach to tackle the difficulties and face the outcry if there is any.
We are seeing her being a regular to her Bandra store, ‘The White Window’ almost every day now. She is nowadays often seen sitting on the patio with her guests sipping on coffee and chatting up with them. Now till just few weeks back Twinkle was always a reluctant visitor to her own store and could hardly be seen making a visit leave alone sitting outside by the fear of getting mobbed. Also it also seems that the turn of events have given her a new perspective on life and friendships as she’s trying to mend her bridges with long lost friends and the main amongst them being Bobby Deol’s wife, Tanya. Both being interior designers, were once upon a time very close friends as were their hubbies. More
