Salman Khan’s Veer Faces Huge Problem

The future of Bollywood’s next multi-crore project the Salman Khan starrer ‘Veer’ is now in doubt with protestors holding up shooting in the Amber Fort in Rajasthan, where the film is set.

As actor Salman continues to pose for his new film, trouble seems to be looming large on the project itself. The tour guides at the Amber Fort in Jaipur are protesting against the movie’s set which is being erected at the location.

The guides say that this structure for the movie will damage the 400-year-old fort. One of the guides said, “If they want to make a movie here, then they should show the Fort as it is.”

For the Director of ‘Veer’, the threat presents a huge problem. Anil Sharma said, “This kind of protest is not justified. When we are making a movie, we are presenting the nation as one and not each state separately.”

This is the first time a set is being built at the Amber Fort, as it has formed the backdrop of several Bollywood movies. The Supritendent of the Fort, Zaffar Ullah said, “The producers have paid a sum of Rs 10 lakhs to built a structure in the area and shoot their movie. We cannot return the amount to them now.” Source
