The super sexy Priyanka Chopra has been selected to have her foot measured and an imprint made out of it to be kept at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence, Italy. The museum which is considered as the temple of shoe design in the whole world is dedicated to the most acclaimed shoe designer Salvatore Ferrangamo.

With this achievement Priyanka gets her name inscribed in the history as the first Indian to have got an invitation from the family of Mr. Ferrangamo, the person who is also known as the “Shoe Maker Of The Stars”.

The foot impression of the dusky Indian beauty will be made with either wood or metal and exhibited in the museum. The museum other than having some of the most exquisite shoe designs of the world also houses several sketches and designs of Salvatore Ferragamo.

The chance for a person’s foot to be given this honour in this particular old exhibition centre is no ordinary thing as it has the foot impressions of legendry film stars like Sophia Loren, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn among others. Source

After the failure of the big budget ‘Love Story 2050’ and then ‘Victory’, Harman Baweja’s got a kick from the producers of the super ambitious ‘Chenab Gandhi’. Now Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s super ambitious project has a new lead actor and it’s none another than B-Town hot body John Abraham.

The Saregama India co-produced film with Bhansali made on a whopping budget of Rs 35 crores also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan. If all goes well, this will be the actor’s fourth film with Bachchan after ‘Viruddh’, ‘Aetbaar’ and ‘Babul’ and the second with the lady he was linked up with, Vidya Balan, during ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’.

By the way, the movie’s not directed by Bhansali himself but by debutant Vibhu Puri.

Anushka Sharma who has not much work or experience behind her, gets to sit in the judge’s chair for Shahrukh Khan’s reality show ‘Kinghts and Angels’ to finalize six feisty cheerleaders for the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders which fared rather badly last season.

The show will have contestants from different cities vying to make it to the final six and they would be judged on the basis of their dancing skills, attitude, personality, energy, style and looks.

The buzz is that Anushka will be the judge on the first of the six episodes of the show to be telecast every Saturday. They are saying that Anushka’s been a model and has some fame; hence her opinion is important before the IPL season kicks off in April. Source

The one time sensation Lisa Ray said she does not consider ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, which received eight Oscar awards, as one of the best films in the world.

“Slumdog is not a bad film. Technically, it is a good film. But I do not consider it the best in the world”, the actress told reporters.

Lisa, who wanted to be a journalist, said she began her modelling career ‘very early’ and came into Hindi films with ‘Kasoor’ in 2001. She has also acted in a Tamil film, ‘Nethaji’ opposite Sarat Kumar.

The actor said she had recently completed the shoot of ‘Black Box’, a French film. Source

Earlier this week, a tournament was held in Juhu where four teams comprising of the film’s cast and crew contested in the game of cricket for the trophies that were aptly titled: ‘Idiots Forever’ (for the winning team), ‘Pukka Idiot’ (Man of the series), ‘Most Idiotic Batsman’ (Best Batsman) for the winning team and ‘Almost an Idiot’ and ‘Almost the Most Idiotic Batsman’ for the runners-up.

Aamir Khan led the Duffers and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra took charge of the Fools. Director Rajkumar Hirani helmed the Stupids. Surprisingly, Akshay Kumar dropped by and decided to play too. He joined Chopra’s Fools.

Things got exciting when the Aamir-led Duffers took on Fools that had Akshay on their side. The match was gripping but Fools lost, and Duffers moved on to play the finals with Stupids who knocked Dumbos out of the tournament.

So the final match was a duel between Aamir and Raju Hirani. Aamir, the perennial improviser that he is, won, and the Duffers reigned supreme. Source

After a year, Shirish Kunder and Akshay Kumar have sorted out their differences. They did so at the Kambakht Ishq wrap-party hosted by producer Sajid Nadiad-wala on Tuesday night. A guest present at the party says, “Farah and Shirish were sitting and chatting at one of the enclosures overlooking the sea. Akshay walked in with Twinkle, and after mingling around, he made his way to where they were sitting.

Though Akshay and Farah had never had any issues, the fact that Akshay didn’t do Shirish’s sci-fi film, Joker, did cause ceratin coldness.

Shirish was hurt that the actor opted out while Akki felt  Kunder had been bad-mouthing him. Both being reserved, neither picked up the phone to sort it out.” An insider reveals, “The producers of Joker were to give Akshay a certain signing amount but at a later stage, backed out. Rohan Antao blames Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire for the reported romance between Freida and her co-star Dev Patel, six years her junior.
 
“She ended it with me after getting close to Dev Patel. Now everywhere I go I see them on billboards. I am devastated,” the 24-year-old Antao said.
 
About the Oscar-winning movie, he  stated, “I hate the film. It wrecked my relationship. As soon as it became a success and Freida started spending all her time with Dev, she ended it,” he added.
 
Antao, a Mumbai-based marketing executive, said the two met six years ago. He proposed to her in 2007, but Slumdog Millionare changed their life.
 
“The film bosses didn’t want her to be engaged. It would affect the whole emphasis of the film the love story. I had no say in it.”

He further claims that he was forced to lie to Danny Boyle about their relationship when they met at a party. “He was very down to earth, but I had to lie all evening and say I was Freida’s boyfriend, not her fiance.” More

Hey you all Farhan Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor fans. The wait is over as the director Sudhir Mishra has roped this two unlike couple for his next film. His untitled flick will be based upon the political dynamics of a man-woman relationship.

Farhan confirmed the report by saying “I am looking forward to working with Kareena. She’s been a friend for many years. This script gives both of us a chance to try something we haven`t done before. Kareena has a role to die for. It’s a hugely fascinating part. When Sudhir Mishra narrated the script I liked it immediately. We are in the process of finalizing the deal.”

Anil Kapoor has planned a film called ‘Ayesha’ exclusively for his daughter Sonam Kapoor. He has roped in writer Devika Bhagat to write the narrative of ‘Ayesha’, which is based on Jane Austen’s famous novel ‘Emma’. Sonam gets to play desi Emma, one who is young, witty and rich. Devika has earlier penned the story of Bachna Ae Haseeno .

Sonam will be seen in an ultra-mod chic look for portraying Emma, as Anil Kapoor believes that the story of Emma can be told well in contemporary Indian context. The film will be set in a metropolis. Of late, Sonam has been shedding her traditional looks; her recent photo-shoots (especially for Verve) and public appearances say it all.

Abhay Deol has reportedly been finalized to play the male lead, who is Ayesha’s worst critic as well as the one who secretly loves and cares for her. Newcomer Arunodoy Singh is roped in to play an amiable young flirtatious man whom Ayesha adores and pursues. And VJ Cyrus Sahukar will provide the third angle to the story as a guy who wants to marry Ayesha.

Rumour has it that Anil himself is likely to play the role of Ayesha’s father – an amazing character who’s a hypochondriac highly concerned about the health and safety of his loved ones.
