Abhishek Bachchan And His Padmashrimati Wife

Abhishek and Aishwarya are the most happily married couple of the film industry according to sources. Abhi, who is quite a prankster, often likes to give Ash nicknames. First, he used to call her “Number Nine” (after she was adjudged ninth most beautiful woman in the world two years back), now he’s given her a new nickname.

When the announcement of Ash winning the Padma Shri came, Abhi was not with her. While she was shooting ‘Endhiran’ ( Robot ) in Chennai, he was near Jhansi, shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ravana .

So Abhi sent a congratulatory bouquet to Aishwarya. On it he addressed her as “Padma Shrimati”. Needless to say, the new nickname delighted Ash.

And when she flew to Mumbai, there was another bouquet waiting for her at the airport. This one was from her dear “Pa”, Amitabh Bachchan .

Ash is the fourth Bachchan to win Padma Shri. Amitabh Bachchan has got the award twice. His late father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan got it once. And Jaya Bachchan has got it once, too. Hopefully, Abhishek will earn it too in the coming years. Source
