Actor Aamir Khan confesses that he found his latest released film Ghajini’s  director A R Murugadoss’s passion and energy while remaking its Tamil version amazing.

“Every film goes through its own journey and Ghajini was enriching experience. I learnt a lot from the director. It is rare that you remake a successful film and go through the same passion and energy during the process,” Aamir said at the success party of Ghajini last night.

He said that he would not be able to make Taare Zameen Par again. “Even if I make it, I don’t think that I will do it with the same passion and energy,” the actor-filmmaker said.

Aamir said the film struck a chord with the audience because of the energy infused by Murugadoss. Source

Earlier Lara Dutta and Dino Morea used to see each other a lot. The old lovers again happened to cross one another’s road at Shahrukh Khan’s bash. Shahrukh and Gauri had thrown a party at Mannat, last week. Present on the occasion was Dino Morea and his ex beau Lara Dutta. When Lara saw Dino getting closer to designer Nandita Mahtani, she left the party and Dino followed her.

A source present at the event reveals, “Lara, Dino, Preity, Ness, and Nandita were all seen having a conversation. Later, Preity and Ness started mingling with other guests and the trio was left to themselves. Dino and Nandita were in the chatty mode, and were seen joking and laughing. It was obvious that Lara wasn’t too comfortable with her beau’s ex around.”

Apparently at one point, Lara saw Nandita sitting on Dino’s lap and she lost her patience and left the party. On seeing her leave, Morea too excused himself and followed her. A source close to the couple admits, “Yes, they had a tiff over Nandy but they talked and things are fine now.” Source

Deepika Padukone has been signed by Sajid Nadiadwala opposite Akshay Kumar for his next film Houseful to be directed by Sajid Khan. The film will have Riteish Deshmukh, another hero and two more heroines. It’s a romantic comedy. Deepika Padukone and Sajid (Khan) met in Bangkok. She loved the story and said yes.”

Deepika says, “The film is a comedy flick and this is the first time I will be doing something very different. I don’t know how I will manage. I will try my best. Sajid has a great sense of humour and I will go by his vision. Besides, if my director has so much confidence in me, then I just cannot let him down.”

The chocolate hero Shahid Kapoor is working extremely hard these daysfor his upcoming film Kaminey directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, opposite Rani Mukerji and his dance film for Ken Gosh tentatively titled Yahoo. He is so busy that his long awaited project with his dad, well known actor Pankaj Kapoor, in the director’s chair has had to be pushed back.

“My film will be delayed as my son is extremely busy with his other films. He is working on Kaminey, a Yash Raj film and Pathshala. As these films’ schedules have been extended, my film has been pushed to mid 2009. I am planning to get the film on the floors before May 2009.”

In other Shahid filmi news, as everyone knows Shahid is a fabulous dancer and his film, Yahoo, has him playing a dancer who wants to make it big. Interestingly, Shahid will be performing a new style of dance in the film called Krumping. Krumping is a hip-hop/street style of dance that originated in South Central LA. It is very aggressive style with lots of energy and emotion. Marty Kudelka, who has choreographed for Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, is doing the choreography for the film. Source

Salman Khan celebrated his 43rd birthday on 27th december but without Katrina Kaif. It was a low key affair and present at the occasion were Adnan Sami, Anil Sharma, Aalim, Sajid Nadiadwala, David Dhawan, Ramesh Taurani, Vijay Galani. Katrina was in London as she went there to celebrate Christmas with family.

The most interesting fact about the party is that in Kat’s absence, Salman danced with three hotties of Bollywood, Mallika Sherawat, Asin and his London Dreams new lady Zarine Khan who has a close resemblance to Katrina. It was a low key affair and only close family members and friends were present. The party went on till the wee hours of the morning. Some guests stayed back at his Panvel farmhouse while some drove back home next day early morning.

15 dishes were served and Salman’s mom prepared special mutton paya and biryani for all the guests. Though the affair was homely and small, all the guests enjoyed a lot. Source

The relationship between the two Khans of Bollywood were strained after Salman Khan reportedly misbehaved with SRK at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party, which prompted King Khan to walk away from the party, but only after take a swipe back at Sallu.

Bollywood stars got together for a charity show for the Mumbai police. Top stars including Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Imraan Khan and several celebrities of the film industry showed up for the cause. Source

The glam doll Deepika Padukone plays double role in Chandni Chowk to China. She has two distinct looks in the film, one which is pure Indian while other which is Chinese. Incidentally two characters that Deepika portrays are twins in the film.

‘Yet again, I have a double role to enact in a film. In my first film Om Shanti Om, I had a double role too though it was separated by 25 odd years. It was the case of being ‘born again’. However, the difference this time around is that both the characters belong to the same times’, says Deepika while maintaining that it wasn’t easy to be playing both the parts.

In this Rohan Sippy production, she plays the role of Sakhi a.k.a. Ms. TSM (Tele Shoppers Media) who has embarked on a journey to pay homage to the land of her birth and her dead father and twin. Her other role requires her to enact the part of a sexy femme fatale who is interestingly named ‘Meow Meow’.

‘It was quite challenging to be doing a double role in Chandni Chowk to China. While the Indian girl is sweet and simple, the Chinese is energetic, athletic and sexy. I am happy to have got an opportunity to play a simple as well as a sexy girl in one single film’, adds Deepika.

Says Nikhil Advani, ‘With Akshay Kumar being cast as ‘Sidhu’, we had to find a very special girl. She had to be someone who could be comfortable playing a very beautiful Ms. TSN and at the same time turn into a fabulously sexy femme fatale Meow Meow. The King Khan Shahrukh will be appearing in the final act of Kal Kissney Dekha. Abhi will be flying to New Zealand in January to shoot a love song for the movie. Director Vivek Sharma says of Shahrukh’s decision to appear in the movie, “Shahrukh Khan is making a special appearance in the movie and will be seen at a very important time in the film’s climax. He is a good friend of mine and for him to agree to be a part of Kal Kissney Dekha is like a blessing.”

Abhishek fans are looking forward to the release of Delhi-6, a film which sees an American NRI bringing his grandmother back to India for a quick visit. But where does the title come from? “Little does Abhishek know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life – a journey within,” says the advertising for the movie, “The backdrop of the story is the ancient walled city of Delhi, a character in herself. Hrithik Roshan’s performance in the epic romance “Jodhaa Akbar” charmed cinegoers during a month-long Hindi film festival held across 12 places in Poland, a country that has a surprisingly large number of Bollywood fans.

‘Jodhaa Akbar’ gives us a few glimpses of the medieval history of India. All these years we were glued to the beauty of the Taj Mahal alone. Now we can understand the intricacies of a secular experiment of the great Mughal king Akbar,” said Gabellia Krzyzowska, a zealous Indophile.
