Aishwarya Rai proved how irresistible she is at a recent shooting schedule in Goa. The actress had to be safeguarded by 40 odd security guards on the sets of Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ (previously titled ‘Robot’), as the director was anticipating much of paparazzi.

To ensure that the former Miss World’s shooting goes on smoothly, Shankar hired 40 security guards to check anybody from clicking pictures of the shoot. According to reports, Shankar, who is directing the big budget Rajinikanth and Aishwarya starrer ‘Endhiran’ became furious when someone leaked the stills of the film’s recent shoot in Peru and splashed it all over the internet.

Shankar, who is known be a perfectionist, didn’t want to take any chances, and therefore he cordoned off the area so that no trespasser could catch a glimpse of what was going on inside. Inside reports suggest that Rajini and Ash’s look in the movie is a close guarded secret and the movie is being touted as Rajini’s biggest blockbuster till date. Source

Our sources revealed that all is not well between erstwhile good friends and colleagues, Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah. The duo has worked in quite a few films together but now there may soon be a parting of ways. The first indication of this was the absence of Shah and his wife Shefali at Akshay’s Diwali bash. The actor hosted a lavish party which saw many Bollywood stars turn up like Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan, among others, Shah and his family is believed to have left for Goa, just a day before the party. The invites had been sent put more than a week in advance.

It seems that this successful jodi had some issues during the release of Singh Is Kinng over the publicity designs and some accounting problems as well. And now that Vipul is in Goa, he may well be meeting up with Ajay Devgan and his family who are also on holiday there. One will never catch me in a mini-skirt just like that,” Riya said after walking the ramp for designer Ranna Gill at a recently held Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) here.

John Abraham will not only be acting in filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala’s second venture 1-800-Love after the hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, but he will also be co-producing it. 

“After hearing the narration, John not only loved the script, he wanted to come on as a partner. So, effectively, the project will have three producers – Madhu K., John and myself,” Abbas said.

Incidentally, 1-800-Love gets its title from the toll-free phone numbers in the US. John, who’s currently shooting in New York for Kabeer Khan’s film on terrorism entitled New York, is now looking out for roles that would challenge him as an actor. After Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking and Nagesh Kukunoor’s to-be-released Aashayein, Abbas seems to be the director John needed to get his creative juices flowing.

Abbas’ movie is set to be shot in Boston in April in a start-to-finish schedule and the filmmaker has now headed for the hills to write the final draft of the script, a source close to him said. Source

With a red belt in taekwondo, Eesha Koppikhar is now keen on doing an action film, in contrast to her demure and simple look in the forthcoming film “Ek Vivaah…Aisa Bhi”.

“I love action and I really want to do an action film. Maybe something like ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’ or a ‘Million Dollar Baby’,” Eesha told over phone from Mumbai. The actress, whose claim to fame are item numbers “Khallas” and “Ishq Samundar”, reveals that she has been learning taekwondo for the past six years.

“Taekwondo requires your entire body to work at the same time and it helps the mind also. I feel while practising taekwondo, one becomes more focussed,” Eesha said. Apart from taekwondo, the actress regularly practises yoga and heads to the gym. Source

This may sound shocking but it is actually true that Vidya Balan ditched Sooraj Barjatya at the last minute ! Rajshri Productions’ Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi was to star Vidya Balan in the lead opposite Bobby Deol originally. But now the November 7th releasing film has Eesha Koppikar along with Sonu Sood playing the main lead. So what went wrong?

Our sources revealed, “Sooraj Barjatya had approached Bobby Deol and Vidya Balan for his written film Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi being directed by debutante Kaushik Ghatak. They both had given their consent for the film. But then though Bobby initially found the family oriented subject appealing, as the days progressed he developed cold feet. He excused himself out of the film citing dates problem.

Sooraj had hoped that he would find a suitable actor in the A list to play the romantic lead opposite Vidya. But as that didn’t look to materialise, Vidya chickened out of the project preferring to do Kismat Konection along with Shahid.

Sooraj was then left with no option but to rope in small names like Eesha Koppikar and Sonu Sood to stop the film getting stalled even before it was about to be shot!” Source
