Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On’ Premiere Rocked

As expected, the premiere of Farhan Akhtar’s debut film saw some of the biggest names from both Bollywood and the socialite circle. However, the undisputable stars of the night were Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny who arrived on a scooter with a side car. According to Farhan, “The theme of our film is based on fun, friendship and togetherness. To encapsulate these, we came up with the idea of making an entry on a scooter.” Prachi Desai and Shahana Goswami made a less dramatic entry but managed to get some well-deserved attention.

Of course, Rock On!! did face the bitter taste of campism in the film industry. Despite being Farhan’s good friends, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan didn’t turn up. The reasons were quite obvious. However, going by Farhan and Arjun’s eyes set on the entrance of the venue, it seemed like they really did expect to see the super stars. Interestingly, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had thrown a party for the film last week and both Aamir and Shah Rukh were present. Again, the duo didn’t bother to meet and left before they accidentally bumped into each other. Anyway, the night belonged to Farhan as he truly rocked as an actor.
