The King Khan has been keeping a low profile for quite sometime now following the infamous spat with Salman Khan. However, the recent serial blasts in his home town Delhi seems to have forced him out of the closet. He has now appealed to the people, particularly the youth, not to indulge in terrorist activities.

King Khan said that he is hurt and ashamed by the recent incidents. He requested the people to keep communal harmony and is hopeful that everything would turn out good. He also appealed to the youth not to take terror route.

It’s reported that he would act in a new film that deals with terrorism. He plays the role of a peace activist who is kidnapped by Islamic terrorists. Let’s hope the actor brings about change to the society! Source

Apart from lots of visual promos and contests, Drona had its tie-up with famous TV show Big Boss of Colors Channel where Abhishek Bachchan and Director Goldie Behl appeared. And now, Drona’s first comic book will hit the racks of book stores on September 30.

The book titled ‘The Crowning’ is a kind of prologue to the feature film hitting screens on October 2. Introduction of Drona’s character and most of these haps in comic book will be included in the film too. The comic book is just 32 pages with glossy papered and is sure to let everyone more entertained.

Shrishti Arya, producer of this film says that their idea about launching comic books on this film bloomed up while working on merchandise with Turner and added that plans are to publish a series of books after few days.

Priced at Rs 50, the book is distributed by Euro Kids and the first edition will have 20,000 copies circulated at hot-stops of Mumbai and other cities. Apart from this, various goodies like clothes, swords, mugs, books, tiffin boxes, e-cards and more would be sold across all the centralized stores. Source

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu’s on-screen chemistry in the film Jism gave birth to their off-screen love affair. The movie was a big hit, courtesy Bips’ plenty of skin show. The Jodi again came together in Madhoshi, which was a major box-office flop. Perhaps learning from the mistake, the duo never came together for a film until Goal happened. Fortunately, the film worked, though averagely. Now, the couple is set to woo each other once again on the silver screens in yet another film.

Reportedly, the film revolves around the game of Basketball and John will be seen in the role of a basketball player trying to woo Bips. Though apart from Jism, none of their films were box-office success, their on-screen chemistry has always pleased the viewers.

The Bachchan bahu Aishwarya is currently wrapping her Robot film shoot in hurry to arrive back in India, just to be with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan on October 1st for his film Drona’s premiere in Mumbai.

Confirming us the news, Aish’s secretary Hari Singh said, “Aishwarya was in Peru till last week for a song shoot of Shankar’s Enthiran (formerly called Robot) starring South Superstar Rajinikanth. Now presently she is shooting for the film in the rain forests of Brazil. She wants to be with Abhishek’s side on his big day on October 1st. She is as excited as him to check him out in his first super hero avatar.”
 
One can remember, Abhishek making a late entry for Aishwarya’s Jodhaa Akbar premiere held on February 14th at the Imax Multiplex in Wadala, Mumbai. Abhishek was shooting in Jaipur that time for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Dilli 6. He was to reach on time but a flight delay made him arrive at the venue at around 11:30 pm just when the film was about to finish.

But Aish won’t be late and will attend the premiere along with Abhi. As Hari Singh has added, “Aishwarya will be reaching Mumbai a night before the premiere.” Source

Junior Bachchan is anxiously looking forward to the premiere of Drona. There is widespread speculation that Raj Thackeray will be invited to the Drona premiere to be held in Mumbai on October 1. However, Abhishek is neither confirming nor denying the news.

When contacted, Abhishek said, “I would love Raj Thackeray to watch Drona. I hope he does. And I hope he enjoys it too.” To be with Abhishek on his big day, Aishwarya Rai will be especially coming down all the way from Brazil where she is currently shooting.

 “Aishwarya’s schedule for Shankar’s Robot was supposed to wrap up a week before the premiere, and it did. So she was going to be in Mumbai for the Drona premiere anyway. Having said this, let me add, that she would have definitely come back to Mumbai for the occasion from any part of the world even if she was shooting. Actor Sanjay Dutt speaks out on his forthcoming release Kidnap.

What attracted you to Kidnap?

The moment Sanjay (Gadhvi) narrated the first line of the film, I knew I had to do it. It’s something I haven’t done in all these years. There was a sense of identification with the character – a father who deeply and immensely cares for his daughter and will go to any extent for her safety and happiness.

Did it help that Sanjay Gadhvi was the maker of the Dhoom series?

To be honest I had not seen Dhoom 1 or Dhoom 2, except their promos when he approached me. I believed in the subject and in him and decided to do it.

Tell us more about Kidnap?

My producers, director and co-actors went through a lot of anxiety during the shoot of Kidnap because of my trial. But all’s well that ends well. I am happy the film is complete, ready and looking good. It is my first release in 2008. I play a father to Sonia (Minissha Lamba) who is kidnapped by Kabir (Imran Khan). It’s an edge-of-the-seat thriller, which everyone is bound to enjoy. It has some great action and emotion and has been well written and directed. I hope my audience goes out and watches it.

Was it difficult playing a father?

No, why should it be? I have played father to Hrithik Roshan earlier.

How was it to work with the industry’s hottest youngster, Imran Khan?

We got along well. He’s a humble, conscientious and hardworking boy. He’s into his craft. He’ll go a long way and I hope and pray that success doesn’t change him.

Anything else you can recount during the shoot of Kidnap?

I enjoyed the action. It had my adrenaline rushing. I felt a teenager again! (Smiles). Full News     

Priyanka Chopra has been chosen as the third heroine to make a special appearance in Priyadarshan’s Billoo Barber and shake a leg with Shah Rukh Khan after Deepika & Kareena.

“Since Shah Rukh plays a filmstar in the movie, I needed him to do some big glamorous song and dance numbers with some top heroines. I left the choice to Shah Rukh. I knew all he had to do was to pick up the phone and ask any of his leading ladies,” Priyadarshan said.

According to sources, it was a tie between Rani Mukerji and Priyanka for the third item song with Shah Rukh Khan in Billoo Barber.

Though King Khan has done item numbers earlier in Shakti, Kaal and Krazzy 4, this would be Priyanka’s first item number. The song with Kareena was shot at the very start of the shooting. Source

A close friend of the actress revealed, “Kareena just completed dubbing for Roadside Romeo. This is Yashraj Films for animation film. Kareena had fun giving various sounds for her animated character in the film.” The source adds, “Before proceeding with the dubbing, Kareena heard the story and made sincere efforts to understand the character that she dubbed for. Kareena knew that it is her voice that will put across the emotions on screen. It was hard work but after watching the end result Kareena felt all the efforts were worth it. She even saw Kung Fu Panda for which Angelina Jolie dubbed for.”

It may be known that Kareena and Saif have been roped in to dub for the main characters in Roadside Romeo that marks the debut of Jugal Hansraj as a director. Says Kareena, “It was fun dubbing for Road Side Romeo. It’s the first time ever an actress has dubbed for an animation film and since it was a first of sorts, it was particularly challenging.” Source

Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan seems to have taken some cues from the failure of Krazzy 4 at the box office. He has now decided to concentrate on the commercial aspects of the film and signed director Anurag Basu who delivered a super hit film Life in a … Metro . But Roshan is not satisfied with the way Kites is developing.

Reportedly, Roshan saw some rushes of the film and was disappointed by cinematographer Bobby Singh’s work. He has decided to hire a better man for the work and also suggested Basu to re-shoot certain scenes.

Roshan is currently in Las Vegas with the entire unit of Kites on an 80-day schedule. According to a source, Kites is like Roshan’s baby and he doesn’t want to take any chances and has therefore decided to edit the movie himself. Roshan has learnt from his past mistakes and is making efforts to not repeat those again. Source

Actor Saif Ali Khan on Sunday night found himself in trouble after a tiff with photo journalists in Patiala during the shoot of a film. The journalists have lodged a complaint against him and his security guards on the charge of manhandling them. The incident took place when some photo journalists tried to click photographs of Saif at the railway station where the shooting of the film Three Idiots was on. The two photo journalists — one belonging to a newspaper and the other to local TV news channel — were trying to take shots of the shooting of the movie when Saif objected to this.

“I finished taking photographs and Saif Ali Khan told his security to take me on the side and beat me up,” one of the photographer Pawan Patialvi told CNN-IBN.

The actor lodged a complaint against them with the Railway Police station of Patiala. Source

According to reports Bollywood Legend Rishi Kapoor has got Sharman Joshi dropped from a film in favour of his son Ranbir Kapoor.

Rishi was approached by National Award winner Ashwini Chaudhary to play the role of Sharman’s father. However, after reading through the script, Rishi told Ashwini to drop Sharman from the lead role and replace him with his own son Ranbir. A source said, “Ashwini had finalised Rishi Kapoor and Sharman Joshi to play father and son in his film. However, Rishiji loved the script so much that he suggested that Ranbir play his son instead of Sharman. Ashwini agreed and explained the situation to Sharman who gracefully stepped down.”

However that was not the end of it… another source adds, “Not only that, Rishi ji suggested that RK Banner should produce the film and requested Ashwini to narrate the script to Randhir Kapoor as well. Randhir too loved the script and it was decided that RK Banners would produce the film.” More
