Bollywood’s most wanted actress Katrina Kaif was down with viral fever during the IIFA awards held in Bangkok recently and doctors had advised her complete bed rest.

The organisers wondered whether Katrina would be able to live up to her commitment and perform live for the event. In fact taking the doctor’s advise into consideration the organisers too suggested that Katrina should just take it easy and not perform at the show. But Katrina being a thorough professional, just popped in some antibiotics and was all ready to take on the stage. Retracting from a commitment was out of question.

And the kind of performance Katrina dished out, not once did the onlookers come to know that she was completely down with high fever as she looked as fresh as the morning dew and won the Glamorous diva title at the event.

After the show when people learnt that Katrina had performed despite her illness, they praised her for her professionalism. Well kate Baby your will power seems to be very strong. We wish that your career reaches the highest pole. Source

The Filmy war between Aamir’s nephew Imran and Harry Baweja’s son Harman is hotting up. Perhaps even getting dirty. Imran and Aamir Khan are all set to make an appearance on Salman Khan hosted Dus Ka Dum on July 4, the day when Imran’s film Jaane Tu Ta Jaane Na and Harman’s Love Story 2050 releases.

However, earlier, it was Harman who was supposed to be appearing on the show and not Aamir and Imran. Obviously, Harman has been ousted and Imran has stepped in.

Our source says, “Harman was pretty excited about appearing on Dus Ka Dum, especially since he is very close to Salman.

However, when Aamir learnt about Harman appearing on Dus Ka Dum, he decided to do something about it. So, he suggested to the channel that he would appear on the show himself with Imran. The channel, Sony Entertainment Television, was more than happy with the idea as two superstars – Aamir and Salman would be seen together on the show. So they accepted Aamir’s idea.” But that meant Harman couldn’t come on the show too. So Harman was dropped. He was informed about the change in plans much later.

We contacted Albert Almeida, business head of Sony Entertainment TV, to check out the story. He said, “We had many requests for appearances on Salman’s show, but obviously couldn’t accommodate all. We had planned only for two ‘celebrity special’ shows. Among these, we chose to do an episode with Aamir and Imran.” When contacted, Harman said, “I was very excited about being a part of the show with Salman. However, at the last minute I was informed by Adlabs that it did not work out.” Source

In an attempt to attain the famous size zero, Hansika has undergone a rigorous diet to lose her baby fat. Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, her Hindi movie in production requires a slim, svelte heroine, so this could be a reason for Hansika to lose weight.

At a recent public appearance at a fashion show, Hansika’s new skinny look bowled over many, but many traditionalists felt that more was better for a teenager. Source

The release of the film shows that Ameesha Patel’s ‘guest appearance’ was not so brief after all. Our sources say that Rani isn’t happy about Ameesha’s guest appearance being a full-fledged role. Says a friend of Rani, “The only thing brief about Ameesha’s role is the clothes her character wears. Otherwise we wonder why she has been credited as a ‘guest appearance’ in the film.

Ameesha is there in the film right from the opening almost to the end. What was Kunal Kohli thinking about when he kept insisting in all his press interviews that she had just a song and few scenes? That was untrue.” Our source adds, “In fact, Kunal spent a lot of time money and effort in styling Ameesha’s character.  Her character is inspired by Malaika Arora. Kunal gave Ameesha all the sexiest dresses on this side of Catherine Zeta-Jones while Rani was given just one dress to wear throughout the film.

The excuse was that as a nanny she had to be austerely dressed. But don’t nannies change their clothes ? Says Rani’s friend, “Rani has heard some of the really catty comments on her performance on television. She has never felt threatened by any co-star’s presence, male or female. In fact she’s happy that Ameesha is getting recognition for Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. But she is saddened by the fact that her performance is being judged by her clothes.”

Bollywood senior most and also the extremely talented actor Amitabh Bachchan wants to make a comeback to television. It’s not like the veteran has much time to spare considering the number of films he is currently associated with. Confirming the rumours of his signing a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Amitabh is also busy shooting for Aladdin.

Talking about his venture with Bhansali, the Big B says, “It will be inappropriate to talk about the project as we are just discussing its script. But, yes I was approached to do the film and it will be directed by his assistant, while Bhansali will produce it. It’s titled Janaab Gandhi’

He also affirmed the news about his wish to make a comeback on TV. He said, “Discussions and meetings are on about the same. There are some game shows and other ideas to be considered. Now we’ll pick and choose and I may be on the small screen very soon.”

Ask him about his impending world tour which has been in the pipeline for quite some time now, and he states, “It’s just the usual thing that happens on live shows. After her defeat in the Indian Premier League pretty Preity is all set to make her Bollywood comeback with Deepa Mehta’s upcoming movie ‘Heaven On Earth’. Zinta, of course, plays the female lead in the film, but surprisingly, the film’s hero is no macho man, he is not handsome, and he doesn’t even flaunt the much-wanted ‘six pack abs’. Director Deepa has cast a ‘snake’ opposite Preity Zinta, as the film’s ‘hero’.

In ‘Heaven on Earth’, Preity plays ‘Chand’, an innocent girl who is harassed by her in- laws after she marries a Canadian NRI, ‘Rocky’. And guess what? It’s the snake which lives in their backyard, comes to her rescue, and gets the actress saved from her abusive in-laws and husband!

If sources are to be believed, “Initially, when Preity read the script, she was very excited about her character, but when the shoot began, it became hard for the actress to get deep into the skin of the character.” Preity, however, managed to remain very calm and brave, and the actress is indeed trying to give it her best shot, as always. First ever Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant says he is all set to change his ‘romantic’ image with his acting debut in the movie ‘Lottery’.  ‘The movie is not at all a romantic flick. It is in total contradiction with what audiences must be expecting from me. It is basically a thriller,’ Abhijeet told.

In the film, Sawant plays an accountant working in a fashion magazine, who gets trapped in a murder case. The singer turned actor, whose voice was widely appreciated in the film ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ and the album ‘Junoon’, has been cast opposite television actor Rucha Gujarati and newcomer Manisha Kelkar in the film.

However, ‘Lottery’ was not his first film offer. Abhijeet said he was flooded with movie offers immediately after he won the first season of talent hunt show ‘Indian Idol’, but he turned them down.

‘I thought I lacked the confidence to act at that time.  I met director Hemant Prabhu a year ago and he told me about the role. I was convinced since I felt the role was very close to my real self and it suited my nature. ‘ he said.

‘Initially, I thought it would be difficult to act, but gradually I am growing as an actor and the outcome was surprising for all,’ he said.  Apart from ‘Lottery’, he has a couple of other acting offers, but he hasn’t finalised anything as yet.  Though he has taken his first steps into Bollywood, singing remains a passion for him. Karan Johar is the producer of the film to be directed by Rensil D’Silva who was the writer of the blockbuster ‘Rang De Basanti’. This film will be Rensil’s debut vehicle in directing.
 
The hot couple of Saif and Kareena once again team up and gets a second chance to take revenge at all those people and critics who mocked at their so called zero screen chemistry in ‘Tashan’, through this untitled film.

The film is being planned as a showpiece which will be very close to real life and has the lead character coming to a city for a mission of a lifetime. Post the success of ‘Race’ Saif is choosing his roles with much care. Rensil D’Silva will be giving his best shot in his first try as an director and Saif Ali Khan will be trying to give out one of his best performances in the variety role.

Much hyped futuristic film ‘LoveStory 2050′ is everyone’s point of discussion these days. Harman Baweja has made it known that he is a little bit nervous before the release of the film and he said the same even while rehearsing for his stage performance with his lady love and co-star Priyanka Chopra for this year’s IIFA at Bangkok.

Harman is currently battling the media comparison of himself with the established actor and heartthrob Hrithik Roshan which is based on the resemblance of his face with that of Hrithik. With just a single dance performance, it is yet to decide whether Harman is also a good dancer like Hrithik. “Harman is a very dedicated dancer and has committed himself 100% to build up the dancing skills and achieve this kind of excellence”. Sanjay Yadav is the man who said this and if you ask who this unfamiliar guy in the news is, the answer is- he is the man who was responsible and who is still in charge of teaching the new kid on block to shake his leg like a professional. Harman is not the only star who was under the tutelage of dance master Sanjay.

Vivek Oberoi and Ranbir Kapoor had attended his classes before they gave the try to make it big in Bollywood.
He did not become what he is now with ease. After coming to Mumbai from Nagpur, the guy had to struggle a lot before he got a chance to assist choreographer and singer Ganesh Hegde. Sanjay assisted Ganesh for more than two years and then ventured out of his own by staring a dance school called Neo Dance Class at Oshiwara in suburban Mumbai. Harman came to know about Sanjay through some of his friends and then decided to try out to polish his dancing skills under his guidance and now it has been more than two years since Sanjay started teaching dance to Harman.

Bollywood’s most awaited and expected release of the year, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (RNBDJ), which marks the return to direction of the scion of the Chopra family, Aditya Chopra, is progressing briskly. As we had broken the news, earlier this month, the latest addition to the film’s cast is Vinay Pathak, and he has confirmed the news officially.

Unlike the popular perception, the reason as to why it took eight years for Aditya Chopra to return to direction is very simple. The Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein director was busy in production work and had assigned the job of direction to different directors, several of them new. He also completed the setting up of the formidable state-of-the-art Yash Raj Studio.

Coming to the Shahrukh Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer, RNBDJ, unlike Aditya’s previous directorial ventures, as mentioned above, this one is going to be a quickie and if things go according to plans, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will release before the year 2008 ends. Source
