Kareena Kapoor was declared the cutest vegetarian that fans would love to emulate. The online poll was conducted by PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) recently and Kareena won hands down.
The actress bagged the highest number of votes giving other potential celebrities, who followed and advocated a vegetarian diet, far behind. Kareena has been receiving compliments by the dozen ever since she turned vegetarian and lost oodles of weight. “If my fans are looking up to me and have turned vegetarian, then I am happy about it. I am a pure vegetarian and it helps me keep fit and healthy. I am aware that my fans have liked my look in Tashan and I am glad to be an example for them,” says Kareena.

“However, I don’t want people to come to the conclusion that turning vegetarian means starving oneself to death. I have a healthy breakfast and have portions of food throughout the day. It is a healthy meal of varied vegetables and fruits. I want those looking up to me for their fitness regime to follow a healthy diet and not pay attention to stories that I survive on juices alone. That is not true! Also these rumours about me having acquired the size zero body mass is baseless. I am fit and healthy. My weight is just right for me. I would like to tell my fans that we are all individuals and body requirements vary from person to person. You should find the weight that is apt for you and keep fit. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Priyadarshan have hit it off big time, be it cinema or cricket.

“After working with him I understand why he is who he is. No one can match his energy, enthusiasm and passion for cinema. I’m already planning many more films with him,” Priyadarshan told.

Also, ever since Shah Rukh’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders won a Kolkata match last month that was attended by Priyadarshan, people have started calling him the actor’s lucky mascot.

“Yes, they’re saying I’m lucky for Shah Rukh. Thank god. Yes, Shah Rukh has asked me to attend more of his matches. But I’ve been shooting ‘Billo Barber’ whereas he has completed his work and has made time for the IPL,” Priyadarshan told.

Many people who attended the match were surprised to see Priyadarshan sitting quietly in the audience.

“Even I was surprised to see myself there, but I went for Shah Rukh’s sake. Fortunately, the Knight Riders won the match that day when I was there in Kolkata.

“Or people would’ve said I’m unlucky for Shah Rukh. Can’t afford that image while I’ve cast him in the most unusual role of his career, and that too after four failed attempts to work with him.”

Vashu Bhagnani has added extra spice to Govinda and David Dhawan’s jodi by roping in Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Ranvir Shorey and Rajpal Yadav. The film is tentatively titled Do Not Disturb.

Excited about Do Not Disturb, Vashu says, “The correct selection of star cast is half battle won. I feel both Govinda and Riteish Deshmukh have excellent comic timing which will work wonders for the film.” Do Not Disturb goes on floors on June 15.

Besides all this, Vashu is also launching his son Jackie in Kal Kisne Dekha, which is directed by Vivek Sharma. The film goes on floors in the next few months.

In addition to all this, Bhagnani said, “I have even signed Abhishek for a film which is untitled yet. The film will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. And I am in talks with Ken Gosh and Gautam Menon for two other films.” However, the starcast for the film is yet to be decided.

Harman Baweja is working day and night to get his steps right for his first ever live performance. “So far I’ve danced only in front of the camera and my bathroom mirror. So I’m petrified. I’m performing my love ballad ‘Milo Na Milo’ from Love Story 2050.”

So will Priyanka join him on stage? “Not really. But she has her own performance. Now of course people will say she got me the IIFA performance, just as they’re saying she got me What’s Your Raashee?,” Harman ends sarcastically.

Shiamak Davar will choreograph the number for Harman at the IIFA that Remo has originally in the film.

Harman concludes appreciatively, “And look at Shamiak’s graciousness. He has decided to retain almost 60 percent of Remo’s steps so that Remo doesn’t feel the least offended. Normally at events when other choreographers redo a number, they transform it completely into their own idiom.”

Sonal Chauhan, star of current box office hit, Jannat was slapped by her ‘good friend’ publicly at Santa Cruz airport, Mumbai after a war of words between them.

 The boyfriend , Sahil Zaroo was picked up by the CISF personnel at the airport and handed over to the Santa Cruz airport police after the incident.
He was remanded to two days in police custody.

The incident happened when Sonal Chauhan along with her father had come to the Jet Airways counter at Santa Cruz domestic airport to collect a boarding pass for a Hyderabad bound flight. Sahil Zaroo was also present there at the same time and the two started talking, which ultimately turned in to an argument. Sahil then grabbed her mobile phone and threw it to the ground and then slapped Sonal before trying to run away.

However the CISF guards caught up with him and handed him to the Airport police. Sahil Zaroo was arrested under Sections 323 (causing hurt), 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), 448 (tress-pass), 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) and 427 (causing damage) of the Indian Penal Code

Tashan fails to make an impact on the Box Office. So what. Life goes on for Bollywood’s hottest couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who played lead roles in the film. The news is doing the rounds that they enjoyed watching the movie Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic together a couple of days ago.

The film is special for the couple for the simple reason that Saif plays the lead role along with Rani Mukherjee in it. The film is scheduled for release next month but Saif’s close friend and director Kunal Kohli arranged special screening for the couple as if to make them forget the jolt they received from Tashan. Rani also attended the special screening.

It is said that Saif and Kareena were happy with the outcome of the film though it is still in post production stage. So, what did the lovebirds did after watching the film? They happily flew off to London.

As everyone knows that Manoranjan Ka Baap, The Indian Premier League is on a very high note. Its gonna go more higher most likely with a scintillating dance performance by Bollywood star Salman Khan.

It is difficult to predict things when they concern the moody Khan. But if the latest buzz is to be believed, Salman has been approached for a grand finale dance act on the final day of the IPL tournament at Mumbai’s Y R Patil Stadium on June 1.
Reports say Salman is likely to perform to a movie song and the promotional song of his upcoming TV game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, which is based on the American show ‘Power of Ten’.

Salman’s performance will either be before the start of the final match, or after the presentation of the winner’s trophy.

The superstar is presently in Australia shooting his film Main Aur Mrs Khanna with Kareena Kapoor .

Meanwhile, back home Salman’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif is busy denying the rumours that Salman slapped her for getting over-friendly with Akshay Kumar during a match between Delhi Daredevils and Bangalore Royal Challengers.

Katrina has told a tabloid that nothing of this sort happened between her and Salman.

Katrina and Salman would next be seen together in Subhash Ghai’s movie Yuvraaj.

Shahid Kapoor has a huge fan following amongst children too. The actor realised that when he was shooting for a film in Pune recently. The film’s location was a school in Pune.

The moment the school bell rang for break-time, some 200-odd children rushed out to catch a glimpse of him and to interact with him. But Shahid was busy with the shoot and found it impossible to give them personal attention. The children refused to budge and stood there even after the break-time was over, with teachers in all empty classrooms.

Shahid finally managed to squeeze out some time and met them. It was only when Shahid spoke to the children that they went back to their classrooms happily. He encouraged them to study and not play truant when it came to school and homework.

Shahid’s cameo in Pathshala, which is directed by Milind Ukey, is generating a lot of interest. Shahid is doing a cameo in a Shemaroo film as well, which also stars Sushmita Sen.

It seems Shahid can’t say no to his friends so he is just doing a small appearance in both the films. He is also being very selective about his films this year, preferring to do only three to four films. Kismat Konnection produced by Tips films, followed by a Vishal Bharadwaj Film, a Yash Raj Film, and last but not the least his father Pankaj Kapur’s directorial venture are the films the actor is currently busy working on.

Surprise for all Duggu fans. Upcoming is Hrithik Roshan’s next film with papa Rakesh Roshan. With Krissh 2 in the pre production stage, Rakesh Roshan has already planned another film with beta, Hrithik.

Hrithik who is fresh with the success of Jodha Akbar will star alongside top Latin actress Barbara Mori in Rakesh Roshan’s next film that is tentaively titled “Kites”.

“The girl’s role is extremely bold and sensuous. Actually, we have decided to cast someone international because that’s the personality and profile of the leading lady in my film,” Anurag Basu, director of the film, was quoted as saying.

Several names had been put forward for the leading lady’s role. Apparently, Rakesh Roshan, who is very close to Anil Kapoor and quite fond of Anil’s daughter Sonam, wanted to cast her.

Sonam, who is conscious of her conservative image, excused herself because the role required the girl to get `seriously sexy with Hrithik.

The film is also starring Kangana Ranaut while Rajesh Roshan will score the music for it. The remaining cast and credits are currently being finalised in Mumbai and Los Angeles. “Kites” is to be shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles in the US.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has offered “sincere apology” for posting on his blog that he had named his pet dog after fellow superstar Shah Rukh Khan .

“To those people who were uncomfortable with that part or disturbed, my sincere apologies because I didn’t mean to upset anybody or that wasn’t my intention”, Aamir told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.

He said his intention was “just in good humour and if someone has been really upset, any fan has been upset, my fan, Shah Rukh’s fan, my sincere apologies. I didn’t mean to do that at all”.

“Shah Rukh is a very dear friend of mine. And I have the highest respect and regard for him”, Aamir said adding “that blog was in good humour. All people have found it really funny”.

However, “some people didn’t find it funny. Some of my fans felt I should not have said that,” Aamir said.
