Its the superhit combination of Govinda and Sanjay Dutt that has bound the Showman Subhash Ghai to cast them for a new venture. Both Govinda and Sanjay Dutt have worked under the Mukta Arts banner earlier in the moie Ek Aur Ek Gyarah which was also a hit.
News are that the confirmation from Sanju is yet to be received, whereas Govinda has already been signed. The female actors are also yet to be finalised.
The film is titled as Dil Mein Baji Guitar, and it will be directed by Hadi Ali Abrar, a new talented director.
The music of the film will either be scored by Pritam or Sajid-Wajid.
In the mean time Subhash Ghai will also be ready with his bigger project Yuvraj which is 75% complete and would release in October of this year coinciding with Mukta Arts 30th anniversary.

If news are to be believed, Walt Disney Productions is highly interested in making a debut in the Bollywood films. If that comes to you as a big surprise, here comes a bigger one. Guess whom they have approched for the lead role of the film ? They have approached Abhishek Bachchan For their first film in Bollywood.

And the Junior Bachchan being the perfect Lady lover, has requested the Walt Disney Productions to cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as her leading lady in the movie.

The last movie where Abhishek and Aish teamed up was Guru that did wonders on the Box Office. We hope that the stars of these talented actors shine much brighter.

Though the Bollywood’s hottest hunk Hrithik Roshan is very much busy with his upcoming movies but he still managed to take some time out for the Cola Company. Hrithik sizzled in a cool white T-shirt, a cooler hat and shades at the Delhi event and showed off his emotional bond with the drink. Apparently, Hrithik and Coke go a long way, as the actor’s been gulping it happily since childhood. The idol was sensible enough to tell youngsters though that he was never addicted to cola, or anything else for that matter.

His film Kites hasn’t even hit the floors yet, but his alleged kiss with the  Latin co-star Barbara Mori in the film is all people can talk about. Farhan Akhtar’s Voice from the Sky is facing cast problem. Earlier it was Saif Ali Khan who opted out of the film for money matters and now it’s Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka failed to give suitable dates to the director who is eager to start shooting from 1 October. The story impressed Priyanka but she is feeling unfortunate as she is not able to give dates.

Priyanka is currently shooting with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham for Karan Johar’s Dostana. She is wrapping up Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. Next coming her way is Vishal Bharadwaj Kameenay with Shahid Kapur and then Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashi with boyfriend Harry Baweja.

Farhan is planning to start the shooting of Voice from the Sky from October 1st but struggling for stars. Saif was rejected for demanding a whopping price of Rs. 12 crore for just 20 days shooting. Farhan who is known to make rave films like Dil Chahata Hai and Don is now craving for stars. He too is making his acting debut with Rock On.

Amitabh Bachchan will be back with a bang this November with Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Juhi Chawla, Sameera Reddy and Jackie Fernandez. His forthcoming movie is a Sujoy Ghosh flick titled as Aladin and the Mystery of the Lamp. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen  playing Genius, the Genie where Ritesh will be the Aladin. The music is given by the duo Vishal & Shekhar. Currently the movie is in its production stage and is set to roll in the theatres on 21 November 2008.

If news are to be believed, Ayesha Takia was also a part of this project but due to some problems she had to make a cut out of the film. Director Sujoy Ghosh’s first film was Jhankar Beats which didn’t spread the magic of its beats too much. But we surely hope that this film will do a definite Jadoo in his career.

The International Indian Film Academy [IIFA] will be showcasing unique events in an attempt to enable Indian cinema aficionados experience stardom. The highpoint of this year’s IIFA celebrations would be the glamorous IIFA Fashion Extravaganza with leading Indian and Thai designers presenting their fashion lines at this prestigious platform.

What makes the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza even more special is that the beneficiary is the IIFA Foundation, a charity organization set up by IIFA to support families of the film industry workers who have been adversely affected during the production of a film. .

Scheduled on the second day of the IIFA Weekend Bangkok, the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, presented by alternative clothing brand Mufti and Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, will be held at one of Thailand ‘s most high-profile venues, the Siam Paragon Hall. .

The glitzy extravaganza, hosted by Karan Johar, will showcase designs by Alta Moda, Mufti, Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis. Choreographed by Lubna Adams, it will feature 25 Thai models and 15 Indian models adorning jewelry from Gitanjali Lifestyle and Diamrusa. .

Leading Indian stars will walk the ramp as showstoppers for their favorite designers. While Vidya Balan will add elegance to Sabyasachi’s line, Kareena Kapoor will up the glam quotient for Manish Malhotra’s designs. Kunal Kohli and Amisha Patel’s growing proximity is causing a major buzz in B-Town so much so that it has even made the leading Lady of Thoda Magic Thoda Pyaar, Rani Mukerji insecure. She feels that Amisha’s role has turned into a full-fledged one from that of a cameo, because of her closeness to the director.

Interestingly, there are also rumours that Amisha is having problems with boyfriend Kannav Puri and Kunal has been lending her a caring ear. In fact, the buzz is that Kannav and Amisha have split.
A source says, “Kunal seems to be taken in by Amisha’s soft nature and even fought with Aditya Chopra to get Amisha’s role extended in TPTM.

Its been a long time since Kajol is keeping good friend and filmmaker Karan Johar in suspense over doing his film ‘My Name Is Khan’. Johar wants to repeat the successful jodi of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and his own films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in his next directorial venture Khan .

While Karan has already finalized his best buddy Shahrukh Khan to play the lead role in the film, he approached Kajol for the female lead some months back, without getting any confirmed response from the actress. Despite the fact that Kajol and Johar are good friends, Kajol has hesitated to sign the film because she said she wants to go through the script fully before taking a call.

Earlier, during the release of her last film U Me Aur Hum , when Kajol was asked in an interview about the status of Karan’s film, she said: “I know Karan is a friend enough to give me an option of saying no if I want to.” But now, latest reports from Bollywood have it that Kajol has finally said yes to the project. However, there has been no confirmation of this either by the actress or by Johar so far.

Sonal Chauhan has had a good start to her Bollywood debut. Her first movie Jannat (2008) was relased on May 17, 2008 which also happended to be her birthday. The movie has done well at the box office within India as well as overseas. The movie is maintaining it’s tickets sales even with the flurry of IPL matches going on in India. The movie also stars Emran Hashmi and is directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Given the success the film has brought the producers, Mukesh Bhatt, they have signed Sonal for Raaz 2 (2008) the sequel to Raaz (2002).Its not sure whether Vikram Bhatt would be directing it again or not, but it would be a hundred times scarier than Raaz. Recently Sonal Chauhan was in news because of some confrontation she had with her long time companion Sahil Zaroo, an accused in the Rahul Mahajan drug case, at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The incident happended at the Jet Airways counter as Sonal was collecting her boarding pass for a flight to Hyderabad. This is when Sahil Zaroo, who was also booked on the same flight, appeared and seemed liked a minor altercation has started between the two, which ended with Zaroo slapping Chouhan and then throwing Sonal’s mobile phone on the floor, then running from the scene. The actress bagged the highest number of votes giving other potential celebrities, who followed and advocated a vegetarian diet, far behind. Kareena has been receiving compliments by the dozen ever since she turned vegetarian and lost oodles of weight. “If my fans are looking up to me and have turned vegetarian, then I am happy about it. I am a pure vegetarian and it helps me keep fit and healthy. I am aware that my fans have liked my look in Tashan and I am glad to be an example for them,” says Kareena.

“However, I don’t want people to come to the conclusion that turning vegetarian means starving oneself to death. I have a healthy breakfast and have portions of food throughout the day. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Priyadarshan have hit it off big time, be it cinema or cricket.

“After working with him I understand why he is who he is. No one can match his energy, enthusiasm and passion for cinema. I’m already planning many more films with him,” Priyadarshan told.

Also, ever since Shah Rukh’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders won a Kolkata match last month that was attended by Priyadarshan, people have started calling him the actor’s lucky mascot.

“Yes, they’re saying I’m lucky for Shah Rukh. Thank god. Yes, Shah Rukh has asked me to attend more of his matches. But I’ve been shooting ‘Billo Barber’ whereas he has completed his work and has made time for the IPL,” Priyadarshan told.

Many people who attended the match were surprised to see Priyadarshan sitting quietly in the audience.

“Even I was surprised to see myself there, but I went for Shah Rukh’s sake. Fortunately, the Knight Riders won the match that day when I was there in Kolkata.

“Or people would’ve said I’m unlucky for Shah Rukh. Can’t afford that image while I’ve cast him in the most unusual role of his career, and that too after four failed attempts to work with him.”
