Miss Aish Rai (Aishwarya Rai) as a model, blue/green-eyed, 5′ 7″ inches tall, became well known in India after appearing in a Pepsi commercial with Indian actor Aamir Khan. After that she appeared in few other commercials such as Palmolive, Philips, Casio pager and so forth. Ash started her professional career as a model in several prestigious advertising campaigns.
In 1991, she entered in the Ford Supermodel Contest at the age of seventeen. She won the Tulips Miss Super Vivacious prize. Aishwarya Rai / Aish Rai’s photogenic face was spotted by famous photographer Steven Meisel and soon it was showed up in Vogue Magazine. Afterward she got demands from many film producers and made her first appearance in a film called ‘Mamaguru’.
