Now, TZP also has a tax exemption in Delhi from today onwards. This is over and above the fact that the film has received a staggering response from all quarters, including the classes, masses and the critics alike. Aamir Khan Productions is now confident of having a further boost in the B-O collections. Way to go Aamir, and Darsheel!

Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch will investigate actress Rakhi Sawant’s complaint against TV channel Star TV’s reality dance show, Nach Baliye.

Dilip Patil, police officer in charge of Oshiwara police station, said that Rakhi and her choreographer Abhishekh Awasthi submitted a joint written complaint, alleging malpractices by the channel.

“We have accepted the complaint but not yet registered a case,” Patil told IANS Tuesday. A police team will go into all aspects of the matter before deciding whether it merits further proceedings, including a formal police case, he emphasized.

Patil also made it clear this was a “non-priority” matter and would be probed in the routine course. “There are far bigger issues of importance than this, so we shall deploy our men as per the merits of the case,” he said.

After high voltage and exhaustive performances for 13 weeks, small screen’s not-so-well-known actors, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali, have been voted the best dancing couple of Nach Baliye 3, defeating the popular drama queen Rakhi Sawant and her partner Abhishek Awasthi.

The search for the best dancing couple ended after Saturday midnight with Sanjeeda-Aamir dancing away with the first prize of Rs.2 million and a car while their choreographers Arun and Chetan won Rs.1 million.

Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan, who entertained the viewers with his one-liners and did many jigs to his hit numbers, announced the winners and gave away the prizes.

When the results were announced, the drama queen – touted as the sure shot winner – was visibly shocked and immediately left the stage with her partner. She didn’t even stay to take the runners up trophy.

Malaika Arora is finally ready to do her first film as a full-fledged heroine in Sunil Shetty’s forthcoming film, EMI. Malaika, wife of Arbaz Khan, has so far only appeared in myriad Hindi films, but only as a dancer.

Shetty says that Maliaka is perfect for the role in EMI. Apparently it was co-star Arjun Rampal who convinced Malaika to do the role.

Though Madhuri Dixit’s Aaja Nachle didn’t set the BO on fire, it re-enthused producer Boney Kapoor into designing his stunning wife Sridevi’s return to Bollywood.

The actress who gave up the limelight in 1997 after marriage and two babies, is now at a place in life where she is comfortable with the idea of returning to films.

Said a close friend, “Sri began working at the age of six. When she got married she had no interest left in pursuing a career. But now that her daughters are growing up, she’s open to doing a film a year.”

Boney confirmed the idea, saying, “Sri’s comeback is certainly on the cards. I’d be foolish not to utilise the talents of one of our best and most beautiful actresses when she’s right here at home.”

But now post–Madhuri’s return, Sridevi’s comeback is imminent. Madhuri at one time was considered Sridevi’s closest rival. “I won’t say Sri and Madhuri were rivals. Madhuri was in many ways our resident actress. She did some of her best films with my brother Anil. We are looking at a couple of scripts very seriously. The film for Sridevi should be happening next year,” revealed Boney.

Shah Rukh Khan dropped by at Mehboob Studios where Amitabh Bachchan has been shooting for Aladdin .

If there ever really was a so-called ‘cold war’ between the two topmost superstars of Bollywood, it seems to have ended now. SRK and Big B have recently been spotted enjoying each other’s company.

SRK recently dropped by to meet Big B on the sets of Sujoy Ghosh’s film ‘Aladdin’ in which Bachchan plays the genie.

The visit was apparently to ask the well-being of Mr. Bachchan who had recently torn a ligament in his wrist while shooting a song.

Reportedly, SRK greeted Big B and inquired about his health. Thereafter, the two sat down to have a conversation.

The camaraderie between the two stars was also visible on the sets of Bhootnath . Shah Rukh and Big B often played cards in between shots and shared many jokes.

As SRK said in Om Shanti Om : Aakhir mein sab theek ho hi jaata hai.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Rakesh Roshan is planning to cast Deepika Padukone opposite Hrithik in Krrish 2. If all goes well, Deepika will be playing the lead actress opposite Hrithik. Earlier, the roles were portrayed by Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra in Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish respectively.

If sources are to be believed, Rakesh Roshan is in talks with the Om Shanti Om actress as he is keen that she be a part of the film.

Although Rakesh Roshan didn’t confirm the news he didn’t deny it either. He says, “Currently I am busy working on two scripts simultaneously ––Krazzy 4 and Krrish 2. If Deepika suits the role I will definitely consider working with her. But, I cannot let you know much at this point because nothing is finalised yet. I will talk about it when the time is right.”

However sources say, “Priyanka was not appreciated for her performance and looks in Krrish. The Roshans wouldn’t like to sign her again. And now, after Om Shanti Om’s success, Deepika seems to be the best choice.”

Rakesh Roshan is also working on Krazzy 4, which stars Juhi Chawla, Arshad Warsi, Irrfan Khan and Rajpal Yadav.
Reportedly, Hrithik Roshan will be performing an item number in the film.

Mumbai: In between hectic shooting schedules for two of her under-production films Drona and God Tussi Great Ho, actor Priyanka Chopra made a short-and-sweet public appearance at the launch of a jewellery boutique in Worli on Friday.
Dressed in beautiful blue, the Bollywood diva spoke about the stones she associates with some basic emotions.
“Love would definitely be ruby not because they are red but because they are such beautiful stones, envy would definitely be emeralds, I love emeralds and green is associated with envy,” said Priyanka.
On screen she may have often dripped diamonds, but Priyanka says she prefers a single piece of jewellery when she’s out about town.
“I’m not very fond very of heavy jewellery, I like big stone, but I don’t like too much of jewellery on me, you start looking like a showroom,” she said.
Like any other girl her age, the actor says she’s a jewellery junkie who splashes much of her earnings on gems and stones, but is happier when she doesn’t have to pay for them.
“I love buying jewellery but gifts are always welcome!” she said. Hope the fans are listening to that one!

New Delhi: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has her bag full of projects along with marital responsibilitiesto shoulder, says she takes up only those projects which she can handle.
“Whether it is films or endorsements, I am – and have been – very selective about my work. I take up work which suits and fits in my schedule,” Aishwarya said.
“I don’t take projects that I cannot handle because I believe in totally fulfilling the commitments made my me,” she added.
