Way back in 1998, Salman Khan took a step that struck a high note, in terms of tunes, that is. The irrepressible Khan gave a break to composer duo Sajid-Wajid with Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.
Now 14 years later, the duo’s nephews Amjad-Nadeem have been roped in to compose music for Vivek Oberoi’s Zilla Ghaziabad and Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli (KLPD), that too at the actor’s insistence. Lyricist Shabbir Ahmed has been roped in as well to pen the songs.
A source close to the actor says, “Vivek was very impressed when he heard Amjad-Nadeem’s songs. He asked them to compose a few more songs and when he heard those as well, he decided to help them bag their first project.
Vivek, who at present is shooting for KLPD, produced by Amit Chandrra and Krishan Chaudhary of Delhi-based Shrishti Cine Entertainment confirms, “Yes, Amjad-Nadeem are composing music for KLPD and Zilla Ghaziabad. They are really talented and if I have the means to promote new talent then why not?” More
Vivek Oberoi is house hunting in Delhi. The actor wants to move to the Capital with his family for two months starting January, while he is shooting here for Sanjay Khanduri’s Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD) with Mallika Sherawat.
Oberoi, who plays a Delhiite in the film, wants to spend the long shooting schedule with his family and has thus decided to ditch a hotel for a house, where he will put up with his parents and wife Priyanka.
A source close to Oberoi says, “Vivek likes ghar ka khana, so a hotel wasn’t good. His representatives are looking for a house in Delhi that can accommodate the entire family comfortably and serves as a yearly vacation pad.” Source
Its official, Mallika Sherawat has been signed opposite Vivek Oberoi in Amit Chandrra’s KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD). Incidentally the film has been in the headlines off late as it was taken to be the sequel to the Director Sanjay Khanduri’s 2007 sleeper hit EK CHALLIS KI LAST LOCAL, with the name GYARAH CHALLIS KI LAST METRO doing the rounds. However the most interesting facet of the development of this film is the signing of Mallika Sherawat.
The source also goes onto add that when Sanjay and Amit approached Mallika with the script of KLPD that had the actress playing a parallel lead to the actor, Mallika readily agreed to do the film as she felt the role was too good to let go off and was excited to play a content driven lead, which she hasn’t done ever since PYAR KE SIDE EFFECTS, in which her performance was highly appreciated. Seems like replacing Abhay Deol with Vivek Oberoi is already paying rich dividends for the makers of Gyarah Chalis Ki Last Metro, which would be directed by Sanjay Khanduri and produced by Amit Chandra of Invincible Entertainment.
The actor has been winning the crew’s hearts with his passion and dedication for his work. One such incident has been disclosed to us by a source close to the production team, apparently one of the crucial and hilarious scenes in the film require the protagonist to strip down to his boxers to save his life. Not only that, even the boxers will end up being ripped out and the character will end up revealing considerable amount of skin.
Moreover, the scene will be shot in the midst of college going students in a Delhi Hostel, and not on a set with actors. This is unlike many other films where there is only a limited crew allowed on set for scenes like these as they might make an actor uncomfortable to perform. More
With ‘masala’ films and remakes back in a strong way, the villains too are back to make Hindi films spicier and more thrilling. Names like GHAJINI, WANTED, SINGHAM and MURDER 2 saw the return to screen of powerful villains who during yesteryears made life hell for the hero and the climax a nail biting affair.
If we look at recent trends Prakash Raj, with back-to-back award winning scene stealing acts in WANTED, BBUDDAH… HOGA TERRA BAAP and SINGHAM, deserves a mention as he can rightly be called an all time entertaining villain, almost in the league of greats like Amjad Khan, Pran and Amrish Puri, though he still has a long way to go and prove himself in films other than South remakes.
In fact the Bhatts who have always provided Bollywood with able and apt villains like Paresh Rawal, Gulshan Grover etc. went a step further with Prashant Narayan in MURDER 2. And this is not it as we have many more memorable performances coming up. More
While official confirmation has come in that Vivek Oberoi is the central protagonist of GYARAH CHALIS KI LAST METRO, what hasn’t been spoken about yet is the look of the film. Apparently between director Sanjay Khanduri and Vivek, it has been finalised that not just would the sequel carry an entirely different mood and look when compared to Abhay Deol’s EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL, it would also have quite some glitz and glamour attached to the proceedings, something that wasn’t the case in 2007 release.
‘EK CHALIS… was a gripping thriller but it was more in a dark comedy mode. Also since the film was shot in Mumbai local trains and then got into dingy by-lanes of the city, there was an overall dark mood that had prevailed,’ informs a source, ‘On the other hand Vivek’s sequel would be set differently. Since there is a lot of money riding on him and the film, it would have to be much richer looking. Not just would the glitz of Delhi Metro add on to the film’s narrative, even otherwise it would be ensured that it doesn’t come across as an overtly dark film.’ More

Vivek Oberoi is completing flying hours for his role for KRRISH sequel.
Vivek Oberoi is making sure that he finished his training that will equip him to fly a plane before he starts shooting for KRRISH 2. It is learnt that he will be doing some daredevil aerial stunts for the climax scene with Hrithik Roshan in Rakesh Roshan’s next movie.
A well-placed source told us that Vivek has enrolled at a flying institute in Florida, US. And as and when he can, he takes off, to complete his flying hours before he can get his license. More
Hrithik Roshan and Vivek Oberoi had started their career around the same time. While it was in year 2000 when Hrithik had debuted with a romantic action drama KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI, Vivek was happy being ‘Chandu’ for Ram Gopal Varma in underworld saga COMPANY (2002).Though they have been friends for long, it would be for the first time with KRRISH 2 that they would be seen together.
“Hrithik has been a good friend over the years and it is fabulous to be finally working with him,” says Vivek in a glad tone, “Somehow we never got an opportunity to be working together but now after almost a decade this is finally happening. I am glad.” More
Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, who are part of two franchises already, MUNNABHAI and DHAMAAL, would now be seen in a dramatic thriller titled ZILLA GHAZIABAD. This is not all as the film would also feature Vivek Oberoi who earlier locked horns with Sanjay in SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA earlier.
Confirms an industry source, “Yes, the film is happening for sure. It deals with politics and mafia as prevalent in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). Though there have been quite a films set in mafia of Mumbai and some have even explored the underbelly of Delhi, not many films have stepped in this part of the country. ZILLA GHAZIABAD would be reflecting the current socio-political situation there.” More
Vivek Oberoi is being every bit a hero for his wife Priyanka. Now married for a few months already, he appreciates the fact that the woman in his life is making it all just so perfect and complete.
“I have to agree on this,” Vivek turns all moony eyed here, “The kind of peace and the comfort feel I get when Priyanka is around is so soothing. She has brought just the kind of stability I needed in my life. A life partner is the one you need to bring you on the right path and in this aspect Priyanka has done so well in giving my life the kind of balance and stability that was required.”
Taking about his every day plans with his wife, Vivek gushes, “When I return from work, I look forward to a nice evening with her and my family. We have been going out on holidays together and though they may not be overtly flashy or extravagant, they bring us further together.” More
Why did Salman withdrew from IIFAA at the last moment. Sources say that Salman’s cancellation had largely to do with the fact that actor Shah Rukh Khan had suggested that actor Vivek Oberoi be the co-host of the party that he’s hosting for the IIFA delegates.
Khan and Oberoi have been at loggerheads ever since he accused Khan of threatening his (then) girlfriend Aishwarya Rai (now Bachchan). Even though Oberoi has repeatedly apologised to Khan after that, he has maintained a clear distance from him.
When asked if it was Shah Rukh’s decision to include Oberoi as co-host for the party, our source said, “Nothing can happen without Shah Rukh’s approval. It’s not a surprise party. The party was organised with the consent of everybody as it is an official event.” Source
