The Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha had impressed one and all with her acting skills in her debut film. However, this time she has found an ardent admirer in her Rowdy Rathore director Prabhu Deva. In fact, so much have the Shotgun girl’s histrionics impressed Prabhu that he has increased the romantic angle in the script, so that it would be far meatier than in the original Telugu version.

He also asked Sajid-Wajid, the music composers to add a few more songs that would help Sonakshi show a unique side of her personality.

Prabhu Deva was quoted saying, “I feel that she is easily 25-films old. You just have to read out the dialogues to her once, and she’s ready to give her take. The same holds true for the dance sequences. Sonakshi has all the traits of being a successful leading lady.”

Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Sonakshi Sinha were spotted at the launch of Kallista Spa, yesterday in Mumbai. At the event, Salman seemed all cheerful to talk about his upcoming film DABANGG 2.

Says Salman, ‘Arbaaz is doing a really good job and yes we are really happy that he is directing DABANGG 2. Boht achcha kaam karr raha hai Arbaaz. Superb job he is doing and you will come to know once the film releases.’

Talking about his co-star Sonakshi Sinha a.k.a Mrs. Rajjo Pandey, Khan said, “Sonakshi is killing it…She is killing it in DABANGG 2. Those of you who love to talk about Ranveer-Sonakshi affair, here is the update. In a latest interview Sonakshi Sinha has rubbished reports of link-up between her and her current co-actor Ranveer Singh.

In a candid chat, the actress has spoken in detail about the alleged affair between her and Ranveer, which has been doing rounds in the media lately. Talking about the alleged love affair, Sonakshi says, “Ranveer is not my type at all. Such link-up reports affect me at times since I am answerable to my parents. I don’t know why someone would try to misconstrue our professional chemistry.”

While Sonakshi might deny being romantically involved with Ranveer, the actress however holds him in great esteem. Says she, “He’s full of energy, and just the opposite of what I am as an actor. He likes to prepare for his scenes and rehearse a lot; you know what you call method acting. He continues to stay in character even when the camera is switched off. I, on the other hand, hate to rehearse and I switch off with the camera. It makes for an interesting combination and it shows on screen.” More

It’s hard to believe, but actor Akshay Kumar is not so pleased with his upcoming film Joker. It’s learnt that Akki is very disappointed with the way Joker has shaped up and is apparently miffed with the director Shirish Kunder.

Doesn’t that sound strange! Joker is clearly the much-awaited film of 2012 with an ensemble star cast and colourful setting. The movie is also being made in 3D and is touted as a great entertaining film. But the latest buzz that has taken the industry by shock is that Akshay Kumar didn’t like the film after watching its rough cut.

As per sources, Akshay was livid after watching the film and even rebuked the director. The actor was so fairly disappointed with the outcome of the film that he began to think of a way out. Moreover, Akki doesn’t want to tarnish his image further as his last few solo releases were big flops, and Joker is also his solo-lead film.

Thus Akshay Kumar was apparently quite upset with Shirish Kunder. But later, after discussing the matter, the actor and the director called it truce, and it was decided that Joker will release after Rowdy Rathore. As per Akki, RR looks promising and also he has a lot of confidence in Prabhu Deva’s direction. Actress Sonakshi Sinha has denied the reports of dating Ranveer Singh, her co-star in the film LOOTERA. A mainstream newspaper carried a news story stating that the actress is dating Ranveer Singh. Sonakshi rubbished the news by mentioning that she is not dating anyone.

Sonakshi posted on a micro-blogging site saying, ”I know it makes a good sensational copy to link co-stars and makes for great gossip, but I just want to confirm that I am not dating or in a romantic relationship with anyone.”

Sonakshi even mentioned her hatred for Valentine’s Day. She tweeted, ”Oh ya – AND sorry to burst your bubble but I absolutely loathe Valentine’s Day, so for me to fuss around it, would be most unlikely!” Source

Heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh has left the crew of LOOTERA stranded. The shooting of the keenly awaited Ranveer Singh – Sonakshi Sinha starrer film was ruined due to excessive snowfall in Gawar (3 km from Dalhousie), resulting in the cancellation of the film’s second schedule. The first schedule was completed in Mumbai in December 2011.

It became evident from the Balaji CEO’s tweet that Ranveer Singh was stranded in Jammu for one or two days. And after reaching Dalhousie he realised that the shoot had been called off as the set was damaged. The unit is expected to return to Mumbai and proceed to Kolkata thereafter to shoot the next schedule. The Himachal schedule is likely to take place later, once the severe weather conditions eases out. More

All the apprehension about Sonakshi Sinha being suspect of Ranveer Singh’s overfriendly ways turned unfounded when the girl took no time in getting into the groove with her Lootera co-star.

An off-the-cuff compliment by Sonakshi Sinha on a chat show (she called Ranveer Singh ‘hot) is all it took for the gossip mills to hook the two up together as the next item. In the press meet held for the announcement of the film, Sonakshi Sinha made a grand entry in an old red car dressed from head to toe in traditional Bengali attire looking breath takingly beautiful! Ranveer Singh rode in full style on a bike wearing a brown leather jacket and a white tee shirt with suspenders looking all like a Bengali young man from the 50′s.Their entry took everyone gathered around by storm.

Sonakshi, who arrived in a red car at the venue of the press conference said, ‘This is the most challenging role for me. I am looking all forward to start shooting and working with Ranveer.’

When asked about her Bengali look in the film, the gorgeous actress said, ‘I love to dress Indian which makes me a typical Hindi film heroine. LOOTERA will give me an opportunity to dress like original and authentic Bengali lady. I have this authentic Bengali look of the 1950′s era. I will wear jewelry, clothes, kajal and make-up and etc of the same time period. We have kept the look original and as authentic as that of 1950s.’ More

Shirish Kunder is one man who believes in playing it safe. The reason? Of late, some images of his forthcoming film Joker had got leaked on the internet. And in order to avoid the same, he has come up with a solution of not allowing the usage of mobile phones on the sets of his forthcoming film starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

The said rule was implemented so that he can shoot the much talked about item number ‘Kafirana’ featuring Chitrangda Singh. Shirish said that someone was found with a mobile phone recording portions of the shoot. And since, they have built huge and expensive sets for the song, he wanted to safeguard it completely, by making sure such instances are not repeated. Source
