Contrary to reports that he might not host the sixth edition of the reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, megastar Amitabh Bachchan seems all prepared to take the hot seat again.

“Off for a meet with Sony for next KBC… planning, peration, execution… will keep you informed on its broadcast and other details,” Mr Bachchan wrote on twitter.

Mr Bachchan underwent abdominal surgery in February and was advised rest for sometime. Due to his health issues there were reports that he might not host the show.

KBC is the Indian version of the UK game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show, first aired in 2000, was hosted by the 69-year-old actor making his maiden appearance on television. More

Salman Khan certainly seems to be in high demand nowadays. The actor, who just returned back from shooting for Kabir Khan spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger in Cuba has reportedly been flooded with offers from not one but three entertainment channels to host their shows.

Despite the fact that Sallu miya was hardly present during Bigg Boss Season 5, leaving the deadly Dutt to take care of most of the hosting duties, channels still seem to be rooting for Salman as the ideal host for their shows.

When Abhishek Bachchan signed up to work on PLAYERS, he knew that this was going to be an out and out action experience. However, never had the actor thought in his wildest imagination that he would end up finding himself suspended mid-air for over 20 hours to film a sequence that would last for a mere 10 minutes in the final cut of the film.

Laughs Abhishek, “There is a sequence in the film where two trains are running on parallel tracks and some terrific action unfolds there. Now Abbas-Mustan had a certain vision to bring this sequence on screen and for that they had an eight camera set up. Idea was to shoot the sequence with each of these cameras placed at a strategic location and then edit the scene in such a manner that it brings a terrific all around effect on screen. But, the only trouble was that I was in the centre of these camera placements. To fulfill Abbas-Mustan’s vision, I was suspended in air for hours at stretch.” More

There has lately been much talk about Salman Khan’s actioner Kick getting postponed. But now it looks like the film will roll on time.

The movie will feature Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. There was a strong buzz that Salman Khan doesn’t want to overdo his pairing with Sonakshi Sinha, because he’s already slated to do Dabangg 2 with her. Moreover, Khan’s date diary has been chockfull, with projects like Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2 and Sher Khan, leaving no time for Kick which is to be directed by Shirish Kunder.

Now, a source tells us that Kunder is pulling out all the stops to make sure that Kick rolls on time in the latter half of 2012. He is apparently very gung-ho about directing Salman Khan again. He first directed the star in his debut film Jaaneman. More

Actress Priyanka Chopra has been very busy of late, first promoting Don 2 and now Agneepath, but she still manages to look fresh. The actress asserts that she doesn’t stress easily.

“Not really. It’s easy to make me upset but not to stress me out,” said the 29-year-old.

‘Greece schedule for my movie ‘Jodi Breakers’ got successfully wrapped up! I had a fabulous time shooting there.

To measure an actor’s popularity one does not need a popularity check meter. Especially in the case of an actor like Emraan Hashmi, the fans make it a point to tell with their presence what the actor means to them. This is exactly what happened in Delhi recently when Emraan was shooting for the movie JANNAT 2.

It seemed like the whole of the capital was out and about just to get a glimpse of their favourite actor. ‘His popularity has gone up many folds after MURDER-2. What we have witnessed in Delhi is one example of that very fact,’ says filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

The popularity has gone up so much that logistically it has become a nightmare of sorts to shoot even a scene in the outdoors with Emraan, without a delay. The shoot of a sequence that used to finish in a day’s time, now takes at least three days to finish because a lot of time goes in managing the crowd. ‘He is like a silent storm. When you take an elephant to Delhi you can’t expect not to have crowd waiting to watch it. The same way, you can’t expect not to have a crowd when Emraan is on the streets shooting,’ says Bhatt. While shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Bol Bachchan’ in Jaipur recently, Abhishek Bachchan said to have met with a minor mishap which left him injuries on head, hands and leg.

According to sources, the junior Bachchan was shooting a chase scene involving rickshaw. While performing the stunt Abhishek fell off the vehicle and hurt himself. Director Rohit Shetty immediately called off the shooting and took the actor to hospital where he was treated for his bruises and received nearly six stitches on the forehead, almost near the eye. After the treatment, Abhishek took a flight to go back home to Mumbai.

Sources added that it will take few days before the stitches are removed and after which Abhishek will join the ‘Bol Bachchan’ team for shooting. Source

While HOUSEFULL 2 has already been 50% shot, Sajid Khan is now concentrating on some of the other key action sequences which have been already put on paper and just remain to be executed. One of the major steps in this direction has been to rope in an international action director along with dozens of fighters from different parts of the world.

Confirms Sajid, “Yes, the entire action for HOUSEFULL 2 was choreographed, screen-played, shot divided and story boarded as good as six months ago. Not just that, we also know how many kicks and punches have to be delivered and between whom. Our action director has to now bring his expertise and make the entire action look state of art.”

Shooting the film in different parts of the world, Sajid Khan goes on add that HOUSEFULL 2 isn’t just about action though and as stated earlier, it is more of a package deal in the offing. More

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan had a horrendous experience while shooting for her keenly awaited film THE DIRTY PICTURE. Vidya balan was wearing a red gown for an outdoor scene being shot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Apparently two bulls, who happened to stray into the sets had the unit in splits, till they decided to dash towards an amused Vidya, given their attraction for the red on her gown.

While co-stars Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor couldn’t stop laughing, before the two bulls could get to Vidya, a few local production guys intervened and led the excited animals away. Source

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are getting ready to head to college as they are all set to become students at the renowned Trinity College Dublin in Ireland which is one of the finest colleges in the world, where they will be shooting for YRF’s Ek Tha Tiger.

Director Kabir Khan wanted to shoot some scenes at a college campus in Europe and didn’t want the usual Oxford or Cambridge campus. Kabir decided on the celebrated Trinity College as he had been to Ireland to shoot a documentary on the Irish Republican Army strife in Belfast many years ago and had visited the Trinity College campus back then.

Trinity College is one of Ireland’s principal third-level institutions and has been ranked highest in Ireland in international surveys.

Ek Tha Tiger will be shot in different countries, including Ireland and Istanbul and the stunt directors of The Bourne Identity have been roped in to do Salman’s action sequences. Source

As reported earlier, “Ishq In Paris”, an Indo-French project, is Preity’s first production venture and she plays a half-Indian half-French girl who falls in love in one of the most expensive cities in the world to shoot in.

“From the start, we were very sure that Preity would get her French absolutely right with the correct accent and pronunciation. We did not want to dub her French dialogues. By the time we start shooting, I am dead sure Preity will know as much French as any native and speak the language fluently enough to pass off as a Frenchwoman,” said Prem Soni, the director.

He thinks there’s something distinctly French about Preity’s looks and added: “So many people have commented on how French she looks. I couldn’t have cast anyone else in the role.” More
