Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara, has caught the eye of various filmmakers after they saw her pictures in a glossy magazine.
Sixteen-year-old Sara was on the cover of Hello magazine with mother Amrita Singh three months ago.
Amrita Singh confirmed the reports and said: “Five eminent filmmakers called and said they wanted her to be a heroine in their next project.”
However, Sara has no stars in her eyes just yet and her current plan is to go to Yale for further studies.
But if she ever does plan to follow in her famous dad’s footsteps, it looks like she won’t need him to open any doors. Source
Now that AGENT VINOD has opened to rave reviews and good collection at Box-office, it seems actor-producer Saif Ali Khan is mulling over the idea to make its sequel in 3D.
“I don’t really understand 3D and I don’t even like watching 3D movies but my son does. May be for the larger portion of the audience one should consider it for sequel. It depends if AGENT VINOD becomes a big action movie, it must be a good idea to shoot it in 3D,” Says Saif when asked about his fondness and plans for 3D movies.
Not many know Saif’s recently released film AGENT VINOD was earlier being planned to be made in 3D. Saif reveals, “I didn’t really think about doing AGENT VINOD in 3D this time around. There was some talk earlier on. But the conversion didn’t look that appealing.”
If the sequel thing happens, Saif will change all the characters except for Vinod. “It will be the same Vinod with another cast for the sequel.” However, ask him about retaining leading lady and his beloved Kareena Kapoor in the sequel and Saif refuses to divulge anything further. “It is too early to discuss right now,” says Saif.
Saif Ali Khan’s home production “Agent Vinod” has earned Rs.10 crore on the first day, and is the actor’s biggest solo opening so far.
Made at a budget of Rs.50 crore, the film has been shot in Morocco, Russia and Latvia.
“Saif Ali Khan has grown as an actor and also grown as a box-office power. The number of screens first decide the craze for the film and the first day business is an indicator of its strength at the box office,” said trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
“The massive figures only go to show that Saif has a rare combination of talent and box office pull,” added Adarsh.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the spy thriller also features Kareena Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Ram Kapoor. While it is produced under Saif’s “Illuminati Films” banner, Eros International has distributed it.
Saif says it was the best time to release a film like “Agent Vinod”. More
Actor-producer Saif Ali Khan isn’t perturbed over Pakistan banning Agent Vinod, saying that very little revenue would be lost by the restriction imposed on his home production, which is releasing Friday.
“We have lost some revenue, just around Rs.1 crore. They are always banning our movies. Kurbaan was also banned,” Saif said adding that “We also shot in Pakistan without their permission.”
” Agent Vinod is for Indians but it is not against Pakistanis,” said Saif and added with a smile: “But I understand if they get upset because we are beating them up quite often in the film.” More
Pakistan’s Central Board of Film Censors has banned the Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Agent Vinod scheduled to be released here on Friday along with its India opening.
While the Board itself has not made any official statement, the reason being bandied about is that it contains uncharitable references to the ISI.
Because of its star cast, Agent Vinod had begun trending on Pakistani media earlier this month itself with several news channels showing clips of the film including bits from the two songs ‘Pyaar ki Pungi’ and ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’. Earlier, another film starring the duo — Qurbaan — was banned by Pakistan.
According to IMGC Global Entertainment (Pvt) Ltd., — the distributors of the film — Agent Vinod had been banned due to the contents. Atrium Cinemas of Karachi also confirmed the ban but the film’s posters and trailers are still available on both websites. More
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was in Kolkata to promote his upcoming spy-thriller AGENT VINOD.
While addressing the media regarding the use of the name Vinod in the film, saif said, ‘Keeping in mind the majority of population it’s an appropriate and strong name.’
Saif also spoke about his character in the film. ‘He is a RAW agent and the less you know about him is better,’ stated the actor.
When the media enquired about Kareena’s absence at the event, Saif said, ‘It is better to promote individually or else it will distract the attention from the film.’
At the event, a leading American bag’s brand announced its association with the movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. More
There have been stories floating around about good money being pumped into the making of AGENT VINOD as well as the time it has taken to reach the finishing line. Guess all of it came with a good reasoning though. Sources reveal that Saif Ali Khan and director Sriram Raghavan were such sticklers that they didn’t mind travelling thousands of miles just to get that one perfect shot, only to return to Mumbai in quick time.
“It is a known fact that the film has been shot in various parts of the world. While most of it would be visible on screen as well, it is impossible to forget one such quick fire trip that the director and the producer-actor took to St. Petersburg (Russia) which lasted for a mere two days,” informs our well placed source. Stars tweeted their reactions about the brawl between Saif Ali Khan and NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, which led to a police case against the actor.
Actress Amrita Arora, who was with Saif when the incident happened, defended her husband Shakeel Ladak who is also reportedly involved in the scuffle. ‘Some tweeps havin a field day slagging of my husband n saif…if only they knew the truth….well we do, n now everybody does. Truth prevails! Its sad that celebs become victims of other people wantin their 15 mins of fame…. The usually mild-mannered actor has not taken too kindly to Deepika’s walking out of Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 at the eleventh hour, leaving the project in an awful predicament.
Things have gotten so uncomfortable between these two one-time profressional co-stars Saif & Deepika that their incomplete film — tentatively titled Cocktail — is suffering some stress in the final phase of shooting.
Says a friend of Saif, “It’s really unfortunate that Deepika walked out of a film where her co-star was Saif. Saif has stood by her repeatedly. He gave her his home production Love Aaj Kal selecting her over his lady love Kareena Kapoor. Then he signed Deepika for his second production Cocktail. It didn’t stop there. Even when his well-wishers told him the pair was getting stale — he signed Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan.”
Now Saif is perhaps justifiably feeling betrayed.
Says Saif’s friend, “Saif worked with Deepika in three films. The least he expected was a certain amount of commitment to the fourth film that they had signed together, specially since this was the most expensive of the four films, and a franchise at that.” More
Despite rumours surrounding his impending marriage making the rounds way too often, Saif Ali Khan has decided to stay away from romance, at least on screen. The actor now believes that he is too old to be running around trees and it’s high time he ‘grows up.’ His latest spy-thriller Agent Vinod being the first move towards becoming more ‘macho’ than Saif has ever been known for.
He says, “Well I don’t know if action’s been my forte, but it’s something that is interesting me at this point in time. Films like Agent Vinod and Race 2 excite me more than say a Love Aaj Kal. While I’m respective and appreciative of the roles that have given me the success and credibility, at this age I think I would like to do something more strong and mature.”
Considering it’s an image that’s working like magic for his fellow Khans, it’s no surprise that Saif’s keen on treading the same path. However, for the actor who has grown up on Clint Eastwood and Paul Newman action thrillers, Bollywood films are still too romanticised to depict reality.
He adds, “In America they like complicated situations, grey characters, real issues. For us, even today, we love heroes. For example, Sriram’s (Raghavan) last film with me, Ek Haseena Thi had some level of grit and realism to it. But it still wasn’t as much compared to international films. I don’t think we are particularly honest about portraying reality in our films and they have left us behind in that space.” Source

Saif Ali Khan didn’t mince words when asked which of Bollywood’s many Khans does his girlfriend, actress Kareena Kapoor look best with.
Apart from Saif, Kareena has so far worked with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and will soon be seen with young Imran Khan in ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’. After working with Saif in ‘Tashan’ and ‘Kurbaan’, she will be seen with him again in the upcoming ‘Agent Vinod’, set for release March 23.
‘Kareena looks good with me and there is no comparison! Apart from me, I don’t see anybody (with whom she looks good),’ Saif told reporters here on the sidelines of the first poster launch of his production ‘Agent Vinod’. More
It almost seems like an eternity ever since one has been longing to catch Saif Ali Khan and his film AGENT VINOD. The film has been in the making for a while and though there have been quite a few announcements earlier when it comes to the film’s release plans, 23rd March seems to be the D-day now.
”This time around it is final. In fact the theatrical promo of AGENT VINOD should be out soon. Saif has gone an extra distance to ensure that it is well cut and makes an instant impact because a lot depends upon the First Look these days. It pretty much brings the film in a make or break situation. He doesn’t want to hurry up things and then get into a fire fighting mode,” informs a source. More
