Veteran actor Annu Kapoor has alleged that Priyanka Chopra did not take her role in 7 KHOON MAAF seriously.

In a recent interview, the actor is reported to have said that Priyanka, who was his co-star in the critically-acclaimed 7 KHOON MAAF, did not take her role in the film seriously.

The movie portrayed the actress aging from 20 to 65 years, during which she goes through seven marriages. Annu who had played the role of one of Priyanka’s seven husbands, supposedly did not think high of the actress.

Annu said, ‘I have been in the industry for 30 years and have worked with some big actors. But when I worked with Priyanka in 7 KHOON MAAF, I felt she didn’t take the role seriously.’ More

Actress Parineeti Chopra, who had to shed extra pounds for her role in “Ishaqzaade”, says she easily gains weight while her cousin Priyanka Chopra doesn’t face any weight issues.

“Priyanka eats more than me, but her metabolism is amazing. Touchwood, she never puts on weight. She was like this since her childhood. I was fat since I was a child. She is blessed with great metabolism, so she doesn’t put on weight. I easily gain weight,” said Parineeti who debuted with “Ladies Vs Rickhy Behl”.

“I am a Punjabi and I love food. I was very fat and I used to wear size 36 jeans. Now I have to work out and I hate that. I don’t work out every day. For the past one month, I have not exercised,” she told reporters and added that she hits gym just two months before the shooting.

What about having a bikini body?

“If there is a script where I have to wear a bikini, then I know I have the will power to become like that,” said the actress.

The buzz is that Karan Johar is keen to rope in Vidya Balan for the role, but the actor Hrithik Roshan, who will be seen as Lord Shiva in the film, is apparently more interested in Priyanka Chopra for the role of Parvati.

After acquiring the rights of the novel The Immortals Of Meluha, written by Amish Tripathi, Karan Johar zeroed in on Hrithik Roshan to play Lord Shiva. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made. Now, the buzz is that Karan Johar is eager to have Vidya Balan as Parvati. Karan was mighty impressed with the actress after watching her in The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, and now thinks she suits best the role of a goddess. Karan may have envisioned Hrithik and Vidya together, but a question looms if the audiences will like the pairing.

It’s learnt that Hrithik Roshan has a preference towards Priyanka Chopra to be cast as Parvati. The actor has worked with her in Agneepath and is also shooting with the actress for Krrish 3. Priyanka Chopra is again in the news for wrong reasons. It’s believed that her paycheque for the Zanjeer remake isn’t as huge as cracked up to be.

Rumour had it that Priyanka Chopra became the highest paid actress in Bollywood with a payday of Rs. 9 crore for Zanjeer remake. The remuneration was even said to be more than that of her male co-star Ram Charan Teja who is reprising the part enacted by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1973 original.

But now, a media report alleges that Priyanka Chopra isn’t getting Rs. 9 crore but Rs. 5.5 crore for the film, and Ram Charan Teja is pocketing Rs. 12 crore, which is more than the double of what PC’s getting.

In fact, the price issue all but boiled into an ego tussle between the two factions — Priyanka’s and Teja’s — with each side trying to keep an upper hand. Reportedly, Priyanka’s PR machinery had been in overdrive to paint her as the highest paid, while Ram Charan Teja loyalists have been raining down on her parade and claiming that the south star is getting paid much higher than PC.

Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan are set to be a part of the Indian Premier League’s opening ceremony to be held at YMCA College of Physical Education on April 3.

Apart from Bollywood stars, the ‘Opening Nite’ will also feature performance from a leading international artist, an IPL release stated.

The event will also feature all nine team captains taking the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge, which has been on display since the competition’s inception in 2008.

“With four highly successful seasons behind us, we hope to raise the standards of the competition even higher, as we look forward to celebrating DLF IPL 2012 with much fanfare, starting with Opening Nite,” IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said in the statement. More
